Awesome amp that does everything

Looking for a nice 5 channel amp to run your entire system, look no further. This amp has everything you need including built in crossovers and one of my favorites, a control knob to control the bass. The amp puts out plenty of power to your 4 speakers and if you can get a sub wired to 2 ohms, you can get 400 watts RMS, or in my case 2- 4ohm subs so that each receive 200 watts a piece RMS. It's amazing how much power this amp has in such a small package. Clarity is top notch. It's ashamed having to have to place it behind the rear seat where no one can see it.

Best Value

Greatly improved sound quality in all 4 of my cars speakers with enough power to run a 10in sub! Great way to improve a cars sound system!

You can't go wrong with this one!

I recently purchased this amp with single solo baric L7. This amp was more than I could have imagined considering it is a 5 channel amp. It also makes the solo baric L7 8in slam. Don't think this amp could make any 8in sub slam. Most would probably blow as quickly as you hooked them up. This amp puts out some real power. My birth sheet was rated at 975 watts, that is 275 watts over the 700 watts that kicker quotes. I have not bought my mids and highs yet so i can't say anything about the high amplification power but if it powers them as well as the lows i can't wait. Here is my final stance, if I was doing this over again I would chose this amp every time, especially for my setup now (why buy two amps when one amp can do everything and get the job done just as well if not better). Thank you, sonic for have such knowledgeable staff and stocking such great products.

Great amp especially for OEM integration

Very clean sounding amp. Very versatile especially for OEM headunits. The newest model with built in speaker level inputs, auto turn on, and sub channel input from amp channel 1-2, makes wiring this amp to my OEM headunit very simple. I would definitely recommend Kicker amps to anyone.

awesome amp

this amp is great for powering a whole system. came out of the box with a birth sheet of 997 RMS. runs a 10" solo baric and 4 jls in my car and it screams!! if you want one amp to power a serious system this is the one. great price, great power.

Good amp

Sounded good until, I tried adjusting the gain on the amp and it just quit working. Kicker seem to make good products so, I think that I just got a bad amp.

Kicker 08ZX700.5

Should read Kicker 08ZX1000.5. Since Kicker underrates their amps, my birth sheet for this puppy was 990 Watts, which means at a 2 Ohm load the sub is getting about 500W! This amp is spectacular, I have the gains at just under half for the speakers because I knew it would be too much power for my Focal speakers but they sound amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this amp at all, if you are looking for a high powered 5-Channel amp to run your whole system look no further. Comes with some pretty heavy duty spade connectors which make install very nice and neat.

pure quality

this is an excellent amplifier. you won't regret. the amplification is crystal clear. but ensure that it is installed by a professional who knows his stuff otherwise it will generate noise through the speakers.

Great While It worked......

I purchased this amp a month or so ago. I had it setup to power 2 6x9 Infinity kappa's, 2 6.5 Infinity kappa's up front and 2 Polk 10" subs. The sound quality was excellent until I started hearing a high pitch squeal when the frequency knob for the sub was turned past 100 Hz or more. Then I took it on a 30 minute road trip and was listening to music pretty loud but clear then the amp shutdown. I pulled off the road and when I opened the trunk the burning smell was unbelievable. I could not believe that smoke was not coming out of the amp! I spoke with Kicker tech support as well as Sonic and was told there must be something wrong with my wiring. I could find nothing wrong. When I spoke with Sonic customer support again I was informed that this amp cannot work with 2ohm speakers (Infinity Kappa's) even though both Sonic and kicker site said it should. I wound up sending it back and decided to order another brand. I figured that it may have been a bad amp. I have replaced it with an Infinity Kappa 4 and a MTX JH600 and so far could not be happier. I will review the Kappa 4 later on after good burnin time. The JH600 review has been written.

Great bang for the buck!

Great clean power. Wish it had a little more power in the ab section but what it does put out is crystal clear! Sub channel is good and strong, never shuts off but does get a little warm. Would recommend.

The Good Good / Kicker 08zx700.5

This amp is a monster and has been capable of running anything and everything I have wanted it to. It has been the heart of my system for a few years now and the other day when it finally gave out I was truly bummed out, but this amp has been running hard every day since I have had it so I am not going to try not to complain. I hope to replace it with the new model soon so I can continue cracking asphalt everywhere I go. Hopefully, the replacement is as good as this one has been.
