I had this amp for about a week and it banged no doubt. It was nuts but its like a disposable camera you buy use it for a short time take awesome pictures and throw it away. I've read online the clamp test of this amp at 15 volts is roughly 1650 rms at 1ohm at those ratings id get a CEA compliant amp such as Hifonics. I bought a Brutus BRZ1700.1D which is guaranteed 1700 rms at 14.4v. Cost about the same. lets look at this in-perspective you can get true ratings guaranteed from hifonics or you can get the power acoustik amp which gives you the social wow factor "hey dude i got 5500 watts its crazy" but really its no where near that and is not very durable at least at 1ohm. I am still waiting for my new amp in the mail. Ill keep you posted, hope this helps in your decision i say save the hassle of shipping this amp back and get Hifonics (however power acoustik mofo's are great product probably the only good item from this company).

2004 Chevy Trailblazer Straight 6. Stock ALT 150amps. Upgrade to 250 amp ALT. Power Acoustik OVN1-5500D and the amp itself is 200 amps so im still low 100 amps have had for almost a year now running 2 Power Acoustik P3-15W. Have both wired together to creat 2 ohms and i have it half way up on the amp. Works and sounds like a dream LOW DEEP BASS!!! PERFECT PRICE AND O YEAH ITS STACKABLE!

Bought this amp to power 2 RF T2's but didnt really do me any good. like the last guy said, mine fell into protection within 2 weeks too. Had a good battery and everything but i guess it just didnt have the power to feed the twin beasts. Guess i'm going to be upgrading to something cea compliant. This one would be good enough to power anything but competition subs. Worked awesome for the two weeks i had it!!

I owned this amp for about a week maybe two weeks before it fell into protection mode. It was set up using an osciliscope so clipping wasn't a factor, I've got the big 3 done, h/o alternator, 0 gauge wiring all around, plus two extra batteries so I know it wasn't from low voltage and I never saw it go as low as 13v flat. I tried getting it replaced and was just given the run around. Bottom line is if you want an amp that will put out what this amp claims to put out buy something else cause this amp won't do it and it's just junk! I will never this brand again!
