good for a week

I had this amp for about a week and it banged no doubt. It was nuts but its like a disposable camera you buy use it for a short time take awesome pictures and throw it away. I've read online the clamp test of this amp at 15 volts is roughly 1650 rms at 1ohm at those ratings id get a CEA compliant amp such as Hifonics. I bought a Brutus BRZ1700.1D which is guaranteed 1700 rms at 14.4v. Cost about the same. lets look at this in-perspective you can get true ratings guaranteed from hifonics or you can get the power acoustik amp which gives you the social wow factor "hey dude i got 5500 watts its crazy" but really its no where near that and is not very durable at least at 1ohm. I am still waiting for my new amp in the mail. Ill keep you posted, hope this helps in your decision i say save the hassle of shipping this amp back and get Hifonics (however power acoustik mofo's are great product probably the only good item from this company).

Dont buy!!

I owned this amp for about a week maybe two weeks before it fell into protection mode. It was set up using an osciliscope so clipping wasn't a factor, I've got the big 3 done, h/o alternator, 0 gauge wiring all around, plus two extra batteries so I know it wasn't from low voltage and I never saw it go as low as 13v flat. I tried getting it replaced and was just given the run around. Bottom line is if you want an amp that will put out what this amp claims to put out buy something else cause this amp won't do it and it's just junk! I will never this brand again!

Great Working

I have been running this amp at .3 ohms even though its only rated for 1 ohm and higher, its been running like that for about 1 year now with no problems.

Pros: Can be used with 0 gauge wire, sounds very clean yet powerful at the same time, and built to last long.

Cons: The REMOTE bass gain knob only gains up to half way, passed that point it does nothing. ( This is different then the Gain on the amp itself. )

hmm..

Bought this amp to power 2 RF T2's but didnt really do me any good. like the last guy said, mine fell into protection within 2 weeks too. Had a good battery and everything but i guess it just didnt have the power to feed the twin beasts. Guess i'm going to be upgrading to something cea compliant. This one would be good enough to power anything but competition subs. Worked awesome for the two weeks i had it!!

LOTS OF POWER!!!

I have this amp powering two Mofo 15's and it pounds. I get clear deep bass with the bass nob 1/4 the way up! Easy to hook up and I am very pleased.

NIce Power For The Bread

I got this amp pushin out 2500w at 2 ohms on two mofo 15's and a Kinetik battery 1400amps in my trunk and this amp is getting everything it needs. I can play it all for a long time with it maxed out and it will only get warm. Good amp and I would highly recommend if you just want good sound and even if you want to beat the block down.

Great amp! Great price!

I bought this amp from dealer cost car audio and I sent it in for warranty about a year ago and still haven't gotten it back! I called Armen at sonic electronics and he had heard the same story numerous times and helped me out tremendously! This amp is great! Awesome BANG for your buck! I have one of these on two l7 15s and they hit like a champ!

Good Amp

Bought this because of the price at the time. So far cannot complain its pushing 2 dual 1ohm kicker solo x subs and it doing a good job so far. I really cant turn up the bass for too long if I am driving the steering wheel shakes, rearview mirrors dances and the works...

god amp

I've probably had it for about 8 months, and am very pleased.
I used a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1200.2 on my Mofo-12 before. to say it was a change with OVN1-5500D player dobelt so good now.
F. ... Rockford!

Bass

This amp is amazing! I have it pushing 3 L7 15's and it pounds! Never gets hot so that's not a problem cause mines is under a seat flush with the carpet. Good but rather cheap and it can take one hell of a beating.

good bang for the bucks

i have 8, yes 8 of these bad boys hooked up to 8 hcca 12" 2 subs @ 1 ohm . they are getting the full 3200 rms per sub in a wall in my 2003 dodge 1 ton thats over 25,000 rms the wall was tricky to build. the box, 1.5 per sub ported and tuned to 29 hz. these amps r awesome the video is coming soon to you tube ive heard allot of amps in my day but this amp kicks if you hook it up right with enough power i turned the radio up to volume 6 and it already was hard to breath sitting in the truck so if u want good bang for the bucks buy this amps

Great Choice

I have had this amp for 6+ months. I ran it to two 12w7s which I also bought from this site. It has ran perfect and I have had no problems. My car is the loudest one in the city. I give it two thumbs up
