High Performance Over-Head LCD Monitor
The Rosen T8 (AS3232-E2) is a 8.4” Overhead Flip Down LCD Monitor with a Built-In DVD, CD, and MP3 Player. This all-in-one entertainment system includes a fully functional remote control that will control the whole system. The 8.4” high performance LCD display is supplied with a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio; this will provide a theater like viewing experience and closely matches the most common movie screen ratio. The Rosen AS3232-E2 is equipped with overhead pod mounted system controls and an auxiliary mini-jack with an RCA adapter cable, this provides a connection for video game consoles, camcorders, TV tuner and other compatible electronic devices. The first unit I got did not work properly. Sent it back and they replaced it very quickly. The new unit works great, except the remote does not. Haven't tried changing the battery to see if it resolves the issue though. The kids love it and it works without any other issues. The outer case is much thicker and it appears to be of higher quality that many of the cheaper chinese ones.

Pro's: It has a nice look, for an affordable price.
Con's: No Headphones, Poor visibility, and...
Was happy with this DVD player at first, but quickly learned if positioned to be viewed in the 2nd row, it couldn't be seen well from the 3rd row, or vis-versa. The "Power Release" feature never worked properly from day one, and over half of our DVD collection would NOT play on this player. It also seemed to skip/jump frequently, even when the vehicle was parked, and on brand new dvd's.
Sonic Electronix was kind enough to allow me to return it, but I wouldn't ever purchase a Rosen product again after my experience with this player.

After looking at many other options in the same price range or as much as more than double the price I found the quality of the materials used in this unit to be superior. Once the unit arrived, I was even more impressed with the quality of material and feel of the unit.
The instrucions for installation are good but the truth is that it is not as easy a job as it is described becausse you have to remove so much from your car or minivan. You must drop the top liner of the roof of your van and this is a very time consuming task but if you are good at taking things apart and putting them back together it can be done in about four hours.
Once installed, the unit worked really good. The remote control has a tendency not to respond to commands some times. The video quality is very good. I recommend this unit if installed in smaller minivans because the screen siza is small. In my Mazda MPV it is a perfect fit. It does not interfere with the rear view at all.
