Second one works great sofar

After installing the first one it would not play the disc. the second one has worked fine since replacing it.

this is a great DVD player for your car. We have used it with no problems sinse we bought from Sonic.

It also is much cheaper than the latest and greatest... But as far as I am concerned this does everything I want.

I would recommend this product. This is a great quality overhead dvd player. The screen is on the small side, but when it is down it does not obstruct the rear view. I had the player installed so that it could be played directly through the speakers or can be used with wireless headphones (which must be brought separately). You won't find a better player at this price.

Factory installed quality, great price.

After looking at many other options in the same price range or as much as more than double the price I found the quality of the materials used in this unit to be superior. Once the unit arrived, I was even more impressed with the quality of material and feel of the unit.
The instrucions for installation are good but the truth is that it is not as easy a job as it is described becausse you have to remove so much from your car or minivan. You must drop the top liner of the roof of your van and this is a very time consuming task but if you are good at taking things apart and putting them back together it can be done in about four hours.
Once installed, the unit worked really good. The remote control has a tendency not to respond to commands some times. The video quality is very good. I recommend this unit if installed in smaller minivans because the screen siza is small. In my Mazda MPV it is a perfect fit. It does not interfere with the rear view at all.

Not the newest technology but well worth the price

We literally got this in the mail and put it in our car and the kids were watching movies 10 minutes later! I have to say the not only is this a reliable easy to use system but the service here at Sonic Electronix is amazing!!!

Works great

The first unit I got did not work properly. Sent it back and they replaced it very quickly. The new unit works great, except the remote does not. Haven't tried changing the battery to see if it resolves the issue though. The kids love it and it works without any other issues. The outer case is much thicker and it appears to be of higher quality that many of the cheaper chinese ones.

All-In-One or Not??

Pro's: It has a nice look, for an affordable price.
Con's: No Headphones, Poor visibility, and...

Was happy with this DVD player at first, but quickly learned if positioned to be viewed in the 2nd row, it couldn't be seen well from the 3rd row, or vis-versa. The "Power Release" feature never worked properly from day one, and over half of our DVD collection would NOT play on this player. It also seemed to skip/jump frequently, even when the vehicle was parked, and on brand new dvd's.

Sonic Electronix was kind enough to allow me to return it, but I wouldn't ever purchase a Rosen product again after my experience with this player.

Excellent product

This unit works well & was simple to install. I have had it for over 5 months without issues. It is such a great value, I purchased a second unit for my second car. Can't beat the price for the product.
