I had a fifth generation iPod with video and a Bose Sounddock and they were great. After the iPod touch came onto the scene and I received one, I thought it was amazing but quickly learned that Apple made changes that made it impossible to charge my iPod on the dock. Thank God for the Scosche PassPORT adapter. I can now use my sounddock to play music AND charge my iPod without fear of damaging the battery or any other components. It's a little ackward to put onto the connector but once it's on, it works perfectly. I highly recommend this adapter fir anyone using a first generation Bose Sounddock and a newer iPod touch or Nano.
