Along with the previous poster, I have NEVER considered JVC as a respectable brand; I have always touted Alpine and Pioneer as the two top brands. But now, with the top-of-the-line Arsenal series of equipment, I am fully backing this company!
Bluetooth with iPhone 3GS was a little quirky, but I got it working-- don't use the default pin number as "0000". Change it to another 4-digit code. The microphone quality is a little lacking, so I may end up replacing it. However, the built-in bluetooth feature makes this unit a steal!
Dual USB ports is a nifty and needed function if you use bluetooth, which I'm assuming everyone getting this unit will be.
24-bit Burr-Brown DAC and 6-channel 5V pre-amp outputs were the main reason for me getting this, and I can tell the difference from my Alpine CDA 105, which I still use and love.
Don't hesitate to purchase this if you're looking for an amazing receiver at an amazing price--JVC Arsenal rocks!

Once in a while, you get a superior product for a reasonable price... this is one of those rare products. I just got it installed yesterday... durability/build quality seems high, but my time experience with this unit is a bit limited.
Pros: fantastic FM reception, excellent cd sound, easy menu navigation, excellent sound from files on the usb thumb drive (nice decoding!), ample output power for a small car, an incredible amount of colors available for display and controls, has bluetooth audio linking (it's a feature I don't use but it's there and available), noise canceling for bluetooth phone conversations.
Cons: bluetooth was a bit quirky to set up - may require a few resets (button behind display) to get it synced properly with your phone (may just be my phone tho - a samsung moment), eq/loudness/tone controls take some getting used to... great sound can be found, you just need to experiment with it some. I can't forget to mention the excellent packing job with biodegradable peanuts! SonicElectronix pulls through yet again with all the install parts! Awesome company to deal with!
Time will tell how durable and stable this unit will be but as of now, this is an INCREDIBLE value for an audiophile grade head unit... can't wait to hook up an amp to those 5v outputs!!! :D

Ordered this unit from sonicelectronix.com. Got a GREAT price via the "make an offer" button. So far, I have been very pleased with this product and the service I received from this site.
The receiver does everything JVC advertises (BT streaming, BT calling, Ipod control/charging, plays songs off USB flash drives). It's a good looking unit with a lot of features. The ability to change the display/button colors was neat. I was a little worried about the lack of preset buttons for AM/FM stations, but I quickly adapted. Bluetooth calls were clear and the folks on the other end could hear me. I was able to stream Pandora on my Android-based G1 phone through the receiver via Bluetooth without issue.
My only complaint is that I got a bit of static in my FM stations (enough to notice), whereas my old stock radio had no issues tuning into stations clearly. Also I was hoping that the face of unit was seated more flushed. It sticks out more than I would have liked in my car (2003 VW GTI). Finally, I wish that the USB Bluetooth adapter was actually built into the unit's circuitry rather that taking up 1 of the 2 USB ports.
Overall, I highly recommend this unit if you're looking for a ~$200 car receiver that has Bluetooth.

I never considered JVC until a respected stereo installer recommended them to me and Rick from Sonic agreed. This HU is packed with features and truly great sound. My iPhone works seamlessly with it & I love the Bluetooth integration for iPod library, too. While it has a nicely tunable semi-parametric EQ (freqs. are selectable, but preset) I choose to run mine in "Flat" mode.
I cannot recommend this product enough! And thanks for all your help, Rick!

Great sound quality coupled with ease of use and a superior Ipod interface makes this stereo well worth the money. The 5 volt preamps are nice and the fact that it's CEA-2006 compliant should put your mind at ease about this thing not delivering what is advertised. The ability to change the color of the buttons and the display independently is also a great feature. The only complaint I have is that the display can be a little hard to see is you ride in a fish bowl like I do. A little window tint would solve any problem with glare though.

Purchasing from Sonic Electronix was a great idea. My product was shipped and received faster than I could have ever expected. THe final price, which included both shipping and install kits, was great. Other places wanted the same price for just the CD Player without any install kits or shipping.
