When Simplicity Isn’t Enough
Stereos today can provide high quality sound processing so you can enjoy your music to its full potential. When you get the option to fine tune every speaker in your vehicle to perfection, you know it’s been done correctly. The Sony CDX-GT650UI has options available for convenience, but has kept high fidelity sound processing its main focus.
This receiver has the ability to playback from an iPod through its USB port located in the front. This port, along with its 3.5mm auxiliary will allow you to playback from your MP3 player, iPod, or mobile phone. Some features also added to this stereo allow you to find music easier as well, like Zappin. This feature allows you to hear a small portion of each song to help find what specific song you’re looking for. Also, its Quick BrowZer lets you search for songs through categories like artist, album, genre, and playlist. Its impressive two-line display allows you to see as much information regarding your equalizer adjustments, and song information on one screen.
SensMe is a feature released by Sony that has recently been incorporated with their In-Dash CD Receivers, which gives you the ability to categorize your music from your iPod or Sony Walkman. You can select categories based on Happy Songs, Mellow Songs, Up-tempo Songs, Calm Songs, Rock Songs, Ballad Songs, and more. This feature uses highly advanced 12 Tone Analysis Technology in order to break down each song and categorize it properly.
Maintaining elements of its previous design, the CDX-GT650UI now has the ability to adjust its button and display lighting color to over 35,000 colors; however the appearance isn’t the only feature to have changed. A newly added Advanced Sound Engine has upgraded their equalizing features from the EQ3, to the impressively adjustable EQ7. This gives you a full 7 bands of equalization to adjust, and allows each genre to be complimented with its own presets, or user based custom settings. This Advanced Sound Engine has also incorporated the feature of adjusting your listening position to provide better time alignment to the human ear. Whether it is high quality audio, or convenience you’re after, the CDX-GT650UI will adapt to any lifestyle.
