Kicker KS Series
Directional installation makes a significant difference in a car’s audio entertainment, but the cost of high-end components tends to factor in the decision to settle for less and why should you settle? Kick factory sound to the curb with KS-Series Component Systems. They provide smooth, clear mids and highs expected from the leader in mobile audio, and at a price that won’t lighten the wallet.
Three sizes of KS Systems offer ultimate flexibility by providing multiple installation options for the end-user. Desiring a conventional component system setup? Kicker systems offer the kind of high-end directional sound sought by audiophiles. Want a drop-in coaxial upgrade for the doors? Simply remove the bullet-phase plugs in the woofers’ center and screw in the tweeters for a simple, quick solution to coaxial sound and audio realism. The use of high quality materials assist in making these speakers some of the best that you can find. The Injection molded polypropylene cone woofer and the santoprene surround increase the life of the speaker while making the sound clearer and more crisp.
The woofers and one-inch, titanium-domed tweeters are brought together by a symmetrical 12dB/octave high-pass-12dB/octave low-pass crossover/protection network that is second to none, featuring a 3-position tweeter attenuation switch for fine-tuning fickle high frequencies. The finishing touch is added by the latest cosmetics, featuring a metallic finish, a new grille, and spade wire terminals that allow for easy wiring access.

I previously had the coaxial version of these speakers and decided to upgrade to the components to bring up my sound stage. I have them powered with 50 watts RMS each from an Alpine MRP-F300. They sound great, very loud and clear, no distortion so long as you set the gain correctly. Tweeters are a tad bright, I initially had them turned up all the way on the crossover but had to back it down because my ears were bleeding. Sound much better backed off. Tweeters get incredibly loud and crisp without distorting, but don't get it confused, these are bright tweets. Def not silk dome.
Build quality seems good, I was impressed with how "beefy" the tweeter and crossovers seem. Comes with about 50000 pieces to mount the components however you want. I was able to hide the tweeters in the stock tweeter location after fabbing up some brackets, so it looks stock. :)
Can't comment on how they sound off head unit power, but I wouldn't recommend it anyway. Feed em some power and these babies sound awesome! Was a great bargain in my opinion.

I install 2 sets of these in a 2012 Chevy Silverado crew cab. They are as loud as they get very clean installation.

These speakers sound great as I can hear all the instruments on any type of music. Also you can get the full sound spectrum except lows that should be assigned to a sub woofer if you have a equalizer which your company sells. My system has a eight band built in EQ so I did not require a seperate unit. An equalizer does much more then simple Bass / Treble tone controls, you can remove un-wanted freqencies as well. Anyway I had Infinity speakers in my other vehicle and they had good sound however I like these better. I seperated the tweeters on the front two because my vehicle has a space for them and installed the tweeters in the speaker in the rear ones. Anways I like the sound and clarity and the price is good.
