Good sound, I use it to play my mp3 tunes downloaded from my computer onto a 64G flash drive. Ive added 8 JBL car speakers, and the head dosen't have a problem powering them, My only complaint is that the digital readout does not show the time of day in all modes, and that you cant change the screen color.....blue is too bright at night, i prefer red to maintain night vision. Also the tuner is so damn sensitive that on rough roads you can end up anywhere or have the knob come off in your hand

I replaced a factory MyGIG unit in my Chrysler with this head unit and WOW! First of all, get the right adapters; the PAC Audio adapter is a must for 2007-up Chryslers with CANBUS, and use the Metra kit 99-6511 if you have a Chrysler Sebring like mine. I had the factory Boston Acoustics 6-speaker unit, but I already installed an amp and aftermarket speakers, so I used the 3 sets of RCA outs to go to the amp for the front door spkrs, rear shelf spkrs, and subs, then wired up the front dash spkrs directly to the head unit.
The Alpine has plenty of power, is very adjustable, and controls the iPod excellently. HD radio is seamless and works well, but MAKE SURE you hook up the blue power antenna wire or else you won't get AM radio at all, much less HD! AUX works, iPod works (tried a Touch 2nd gen and 4th gen, and touchscreen Nano), BT Audio works with my Motorola Defy (sort of), and BT phone works well. I don't use Pandora, so I can't speak to that.
The head unit doesn't control Sirius/XM, but HD Radio sounds so much better and we have plenty of local HD stations, so I don't miss it and I'm saving $$$. In one year, the savings from not listening to SAT radio will pay for this unit! The Alpine is menu-driven, so there are lots of functions; but it takes a lot of button pressing and menu surfing to get to what you want. It's all there though, BASS/MID/TREB, preset equalizer, separate sub controls, HPF/LPF, even adjustable input volumes to match your sources.
My ONLY gripe about this unit - when hooking up a BT phone with BT audio, the phone will connect the first time, and then fail to connect after that if you leave the BT audio and BT phone on at the same time. You have to disconnect the BT audio on the head unit (BT audio set to OFF) every time you leave the car (leave BT phone ON) or else neither one will connect when you get back in the car the next time.
Once I figured out what to do, it's okay, but this will frustrate a lot of smartphone users. I hope for a firmware update in the future, but for now I just have to remember to do it each time! For under $200 and no extra adapters to buy for BT/iPod control, this head unit puts Kenwood, JVC, and Pioneer to shame! Great product.
