I bought 2 sets of these for my 98 blazer 4door. I was a little concerned about the fit but all went well. All I had to do was drill new holes to mount the speakers(speakers and mounting base), reused the factory screws also. I only elected to mount the tweeters in the front set of doors and as long as your hole is tight install is a snap.
As far as sound goes, they are still breaking but sound very nice. Very clear and full sound. They don't hit extremely hard but they are not a "big bass" speaker, that's what my subs for. They will distort if turned up very loud as there are no filters in front of the mid, only the tweet.
Mine are powered off my deck, alpine 133bt

After som advice from sonic I instaled these in place of a pair of 6x9's with a adapter kit. There is a loss of the bass as compared with the factory speakers but they have a soft warm tone and the tweaters have a nice sound that is not screachey. If you want bass this in not for you, with a subwoofer they balance out nicely
