For over two decades, AudioControl has been designing and manufacturing award-winning autosound products at our factory located in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. During this period, countless sound-off winning contestants have chosen AudioControl products to give them the competitive edge. "Can you really win without AudioControl", was part of an article written commenting on competition winning systems. Nothing sounds better than an awesome recording played back on a kickbutt system. Unfortunately, the acoustics of your vehicle can take away from your systems performance. While AudioControl products do not change the laws of physics (although they act like they do), autosound enthusiasts have long known that AudioControl products "make good stereo sound better"
AudioControl continues to simplify OEM integration with the new LC6i Six Channel Line Output Converter with internal summing. The LC6i is built on the same technology as its predecessor, the LC6. The LC6i converts speaker level inputs from a factory radio or factory amplifier into high-quality pre-amp signals. The addition of internal summing capabilities and improved GTO™ signal-sense turn-on make the LC6i the perfect way to solve your OEM headaches.
The LC6i allows for the addition of aftermarket processors and amplifiers while maintaining use of the factory volume and steering wheel controls. Internal signal summing and AudioControl's new GTO™ signal-sense turn-on make the LC6i a perfect OEM interface for a performance audio system.
The LC6i follows in the steps of the rampantly successful LC8 Eight Channel Line Output Converter, offering all of the same features for 6 channel systems at a reduced price. The LC6i accepts speaker level signals, both crossed-over and full range, and converts them to high-quality pre-amp signals. Signals from factory radios with built-in crossovers can be overcome by summing them together, internally, to provide a full-range preamp signal.
The LC6i provides the type of clean pre-amp signals installers are familiar with. Those who desire custom control over the sound can easily add one of AudioControl's many crossovers or equalizers which offer unlimited system design flexibility, clearly different than traditional OEM interfaces.
If you are like many people who enjoy the look and features of your factory-installed source unit but feel your system overall is lacking power and bass, we have good news. The LC6i has high-impedance speakerlevel inputs that allow it to accept amplified signals from all known factory-installed source units (even Bose) and output a high-quality pre-amp signal via standard RCA connectors. This will allow you to add better-quality aftermarket amplifiers, processors and speakers while keeping the convenience features of your factory-installed source unit. Unlike inexpensive speaker-level and line-output converters, the LC6i offers the highest sound quality and can handle the full signal strength of a 400-watt amplifier.
Most factory-installed source units lack the features that make it easy to upgrade with really good-sounding, performance aftermarket products. One of those key features is a 12-volt trigger that will turn on devices like the LC6i and your external amplifiers. Therefore, we have equipped your LC6i with our unique GTO™ (Great Turn On) signal-sensing inputs. Once the GTO input of your LC6i detects a speaker-level signal on the Main Inputs, it powers up. When the speaker-level signal goes away, your LC6i will automatically turn-off. Optionally, your LC6i is also equipped with a standard 12-volt trigger (Remote In) that will allow you to turn on your LC6i in the traditional manner.
Since you will be using an external amplifier(s) and processor in your system, you will need the ability to "trigger" or turn-on these devices (a romantic dinner won't quite work here). Your LC6i has a high-current 12-volt output (labeled Remote Out) that will provide a trigger to these remote devices, when the LC6i is powered up. Please note that this output is not to be used as the main power for these devices.
The LC6i has the unique ability to internally sum together multiple (4 or 6) input channels from the factory source unit into 2 channels. This is particularly handy when using the LC6i with a factory system that has multiple, actively crossed-over signals being sent from the OEM source unit or amplifier(s). For example, in some vehicles there is an actively crossed-over tweeter, midrange, and woofer all in the front of the vehicle. The LC6i lets you take all of those signals and sum them together to get a high-quality, full-range, pre-amp signal without the use of any additional cables or hardware.
Sometimes in life (and car audio) we need more outputs than inputs. Therefore we have equipped your LC6i with AutoMode inputs that take the Channel 2 signal and automatically feeds it to the Channel 3 outputs, provided there is no signal present on the Channel 3 inputs. This means your LC6i will accept two input channels and give you four output channels. Or it can accept four input channels and give you six output channels.

Great OEM integration
My set-up originally had a MTX Re-Q5 which I replaced with the LC6i to try and solve an issue I was having with a high noise floor (Hiss). The swap didn't solve my problem (OEM head-unit ended up being the problem) but I found that the LC6i to be more detailed and musical that the MTX Re-Q5. Installation was a breeze with the removable connectors and straight forward set-up/operating instructions. Eventually changed the head-unit and therefore no-longer use the LC6i.

I have had this since Mar 2008 and I have to say it's a great product. I wanted to keep the functionality of my factory radio, but have superior sound of an after market unit, and this product did the trick.
Works great using OEM amp output for a source...would definitely get another if get another vehicle with an integrated OEM radio.

Quality line out converter for my BMW. It took the OEM deck output (line level) and converted to speaker level amp inputs. No complaints. Quality piece, made locally, definitely would by AudioControl products again.

When OEM integration is a must there is no other company I would trust. In my particular install is in a Honda Fit Sport. Just one of the reasons for keeping the factory deck included, the factory alarm is integrated with the deck. Furthermore, I need to step down from the deck's 200 rms to RCA's for my SPL install. Most decks don't even come close to 6 volts pre-outs which this product does. As of this review I am metering 145dbz.

If you are like me and like the way your car look from factory this is the one to buy, easy to install and functionality is great, keep all your factory settings and get great sound, just as good as an aftermarket radio. I have Infinity components in the doors and 2 P3's 12in. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased one of these for my 2011 Kia Sorento as I wanted to keep my Bluetooth and Sirus Radio in my SUV. This is the easiest LOC I have ever hooked up and it sounds great, much better than those cheaper versions and makes it easier to hook up amps and subs if you want to go that route.

I'm using this to send a signal from my factory head unit in a 2013 Mazda CX-5 to my 5 channel amp. I'm runnning inputs from the factory deck to channel 1 and 2 on the LOC and have channel 3 summed to send signal to my amp. This with some 9 conductor speed wire makes OEM integration very easy and I get a great quality, noise free listening experience. The auto turn on function works perfectly, and setting the levels is very easy.
