The L7 is pretty beastly compared to several subs. But their are better out there. SPL from these are great but SQ suffers a bit. They are also a little underrated. I had a 1000.1 running this at just over half gain and it beats pretty hard.

I ran this sub with the kx750.1 and was pretty disappointed with the sound quality. two months later, I went ahead and bought a jl 1000/1 to see if it was a power issue and not the sub. It made a night to day difference. Not only is it louder(should be anyway with an extra 250 watts) but more importantly the sound quality blows the kx750.1 away. I wouldn't have believed it myself( which is why I bought the cheaper 750.1 in the first place) but trust me, its like listening to two different subs. the low bass hits that the kx750.1 would distort, the jl plays smooth, and mid bass hits tight and hard for being a ported box.

I put one of these in my 1980 El Camino and it was insane!!! I would deffinately recomend this product. I hits harder than any two round 12'' subs that i've herd, and it was only getting about 1000 watts max.
