Best Sub

The following review is for 08VS12L72, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

The L7 right out of the box is just amazing. I had an L5 and it was great. The L7 on the other hand is much stronger. I knew it was great even with the same amp I had. I had a 400W amp for the L5 and even that gave me a glimpse as to what this L7 was capable of. The next day I purchased a JL audio HD750/1ohms and it came to life. Now that it has been more than 6 months, this L7 is going stronger than ever and getting better every few months. For the money, I can't recommend anything better; especially with the custom box. I love it for what it does, and what it does is give me a lot of bass.

This is the one

The following review is for 08VS12L72, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I went through many speakers, but none of them come close to this L7 Kicker. The bass is outstanding, hard hitting sound.

I put one of these in my 1980 El Camino and it was insane!!! I would deffinately recomend this product. I hits harder than any two round 12'' subs that i've herd, and it was only getting about 1000 watts max.

Good but not great

The L7 is pretty beastly compared to several subs. But their are better out there. SPL from these are great but SQ suffers a bit. They are also a little underrated. I had a 1000.1 running this at just over half gain and it beats pretty hard.

Decent

The following review is for 08VS12L72, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

Purchased this L7 in the box about a year ago. Played it too loud too fast and it blew on me within a few days. Got a new one on warranty from Kicker. Played it a little quieter for a few days, then bumped. That one also blew on me. Luckily, Kicker is very very forgiving and replaced it one more time for free (unbelievably). The third one I had I definitely played it quiet for a few weeks. Then Bumped. Now, no problems. It gets loud. Remember, in this ported box it's more for SPL and not SQ. Overall, this is a very loud sub, but you NEED to break it in for the first two weeks. The spider is way to stiff in the beginning.

MADTOWN AGAIN

The following review is for 08VS12L72, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I JUST PURCHASED THE L7 12" KICKER IN THE KICKER PORTED BOX . VERY SATISFIED HOOKED IT UP IN A 94 T-BIRD. TO AN MTX AUDIO THUNDER 5601 AMP IS RATED AT 500 WATTS. THE KICKER SPEAKER IS THE BEST BUY FOR THE MONEY. ONLY THING IS I HAVE A 79 CAPRICE AND AN 84 CUTLASS. I HAVEN'T DECIDED HOW BIG OF SPEAKERS I WILL PUT IN EITHER OF THEM. BUT IT WILL BE KICKER. I'VE FOUND A NEW RESPECT FOR KICKER HARD DEEP BASS! THIS ONE 12" HITS HARDER THAN ALLOT OF 15'S THAT I'VE HEARD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE KICKER L7. AS FOR SONIC IT IS THE BEST PLACE TO BUY QUALITY PRODUCTS FOR A LOW PRICE AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.

This sub rocks. Great sub and box. Hooked up to kicker 08zx750.1. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great sub and also the price is right at SonicElectronix.

needs good amp

I ran this sub with the kx750.1 and was pretty disappointed with the sound quality. two months later, I went ahead and bought a jl 1000/1 to see if it was a power issue and not the sub. It made a night to day difference. Not only is it louder(should be anyway with an extra 250 watts) but more importantly the sound quality blows the kx750.1 away. I wouldn't have believed it myself( which is why I bought the cheaper 750.1 in the first place) but trust me, its like listening to two different subs. the low bass hits that the kx750.1 would distort, the jl plays smooth, and mid bass hits tight and hard for being a ported box.
