Note: Many companies claim their wire is 0 gauge or 4 gauge when in reality it is 2/3 instead of 0 or 5/6 gauge instead of 4 gauge with more plastic insulation to present an illusion of 0 or 4 gauge. Scosche did not want to make a false representation of their quality product so they specify their wire in millimeters, not the standard gauge system. We have decided that to present fair competition to the likes of "house brand" wire, and other unfair manufacturers which label their 0 or 4 gauge wire as such when it is less wire than what is included in the E3200.

Amplifier Kit Specifications

Amp Kit Type
Amplifier installation kit come in two different types: Power or Complete. Power Amp kits are designed to only provide power to the amplifier. Complete kits will provide power and signal to the amplifier. Many of the complete kits will also include speaker wire to connect the amplifier to the subwoofer.
Complete
Number of Amplifiers Supported
This is the number of amplifiers that the amplifier kit can support. If you are are going to be powering more than one amplifier, make sure that the installation kit will support them.
2
Power/Ground Wire Size
The power/ground gauge numbers represents the main wire size of the amplifier kit.

Definitions are as follows:

Gauge (wire) - The diameter of a wire. The higher the number, the thinner the wire. Example: 4 gauge wire has more strands than 10 gauge wire.

AWG (American Wire Gauge) - A standard of the dimensional characteristics of wire used to conduct electrical current or signals. AWG is identical to the Brown and Sharpe (B & S) wire gauge.

If your amplifier has high-level / speaker level inputs, then you do not need to purchase interconnects; however, interconnects offer a much higher quality sound when compared to speaker level inputs.
4 Channel
Fuse Holder
This is the type of fuse holder that is included in the item.
ANL
Fuse Size
This is the size of the fuse that is compatible with the fuse holder. If the fuse needs to be replaced, be sure to replace it with the same size.
2 x 60 Amp
Distribution Block Included
This means that the kit includes a distribution block in the package. This will assist in the installation of the amplifier kit or any situation where a distribution block is required.
Yes
Complies to AWG Standards
Since 1857, The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system has been the standard for measuring the diameter of wire. AWG standard is the measure of bare wire to find true gauge. Companies that do not follow AWG Standards include the thickness of the wire jacket which means the actual wire is not "True to Gauge". For the best performance from your amplifier wiring kit, make sure that the cable complies to the AWG standard.

DO NOT BUY AT ALL

March 12, 2014

Product works of course but has no real copper just a cheap insolation involved. dont be fooled by all of the things it comes with and other reviews. if your spending good money on subs and amp take the time to buy a good name brand wiring kit. it will help you out in the long run

Good for the price!

October 15, 2013

I recently bought one of these for my Pioneer set-up. I was looking for an affordable amplifier kit online and came across this one. I had my doubts because of all the things you hear about different products. I ended up ordering it anyways. After the installation, I haven't had any problems with it yet. I'm running a 2,400watt max amp with 2 12" 3,000watt/each subs. Wire hasn't burned up yet and for the price, I'm happy. I would recommend this product to anybody installing a sound system. Pros - The kit comes with everything you need. The power cable is easy to use. Remote wire is flexible along with the 2 RCA's, 4 gauge amp wires, and the 12 gauge speaker wire it comes with. The amp also comes with fuses and accessories that you don't need to buy at audio stores. Cons - The Power and amplifier wires aren't actual gauge. Compared to my friends 0 gauge Rockford Fosgate power wire, the Scosche power wire is smaller. The amplifier wire's Power/Ground are also a bit smaller than his Rockford Fosgate wires. Other than those small issues, for the price I'd say its worth it. You save a couple hundred dollars using this amp kit and to me, it sounds the same as his $250+ amplifier kit.

Something fishy

December 29, 2010

I was planning on purchasing this item to wire in my two amps (Bazooka 500x1 RMS and a Visonik "800w" peak). I am on a tight budget so I was looking for the best bang for my buck. After reading the reviews, I did a little research into the MM sizing of this wire. I have discovered two things. First, I discovered that when they are using MM for wire gauging, they must be using it as MM squared since it is the closest in relation to the chart. Second, it is stated that the 0 Ga wire is "15.5 MM", which would actually make it closer to 5 ga AWG (4ga: 5.19mm, 21.14mm2; 5ga: 4.62mm, 16.76mm2; 6ga: 4.11mm, 13.29mm2) and the 9.5mm would be closer to 7-8ga AWG ( 7ga: 3.67mm, 10.55mm2; 8ga: 3.26mm, 8.36mm2) I am not writing this to discourage the purchase of this kit since it has many great features for the money (Batt. Term, fused Dist. block, H.D. ring terminals), BUT I am writing this because of the notation about it being "true" wire gauging. I have used Scosche products before with no issues, but that was with one amp. Now installing two amps, I want to be sure of how I am wiring them to prevent any issues. After using a conversion chart, I think I will find another kit that IS true AWG!

0G all the way

July 6, 2010

I love this power kit. Had many features than more high-end power kits. The only thing I would recommend is to get a gauge adapter that is 0g to 4g so it will be easier and cleaner looking on the battery

Works good for the price. Just make sure you don't have a big car that needs long hot leads and you will be fine. The quality of the battery leads is very good.

disappointment

May 17, 2010

If you need 0-2 gauge wire don't buy this. The O is actually 4 and the 4 is actually 8. the d block and fuses all seem decent. the remote and speaker wire is trash. The rca's are the most bottom of the line. but i guess you get what you pay for. spend the extra 20 dollars

Nice kit for the price, hooked up 2 kicker kx550.3 under the seats of a FJ Cruiser without a cap running at full capacity and it looks and works great with very minimal dimming at full volume. I would definitely buy again if I was building another mid range system around the same wattage.

Exactly what I expected.

January 17, 2009

This product was great for the money. The 15.5 wire is closer to 2 gauge than 0. The 9.5 mm wire is in between the size of 4 and 8. If you are looking for a kit to wire one amplifier, I would buy this one in case you would like to add another amplifier in the future.

Does the Job for me

July 10, 2008

I'm running 1150 watts and these wires do a great job. If I was running more than 1500 I'd probably go with the kicker kit, but anything below that this kit can and will do a fine job.

Good but not true 0 Gauge

Great wires for the price but if you look at true 0 gauge it is much thicker... But these are quality wire... I would not recommend using these on over 1500 watts

I paid more elsewhere

November 9, 2007

And I got less in the package when I installed my last stereo. This is a great deal.' These wires are QUALITY! I read a full 14.4 on my digital CAP. Don't forget to use the split loom even though those wires look so sharp under the hood.
