Don't have an iPod but want easy access to your MP3 collection? Not a problem! Pioneer's CD-UB100 connects directly to the backs of IP-Bus ready Pioneer CD players and includes a USB cable that is long enough to run to your glove box, center console, etc. to connect your USB thumb drive or any other USB storage device.

This product adds a lot of usability to the Pioneer line-up. I'm using it with a Pioneer DEH-P800PRS, and it's pretty good.
What sucks:
-the deck's menu for going through audio files is weak. You have to sequentially go through them all, and the titles aren't fully listed, just the first 8 or 10 characters, with no scrolling. At least, I haven't found that option yet.
-I glued a card reader into my glove box and then connected it to this unit, hoping that I'd be able to use SDHC cards. It didn't work. I tried a different card reader, and it did work. So, other than the fact that I've got a non-functioning card reader glued to my glove box, the unit works. Make sure the product you're connecting to it also works. So far, USB keys/thumb drives have all worked. The Pioneer menu system for MP3's sucks though.
Some of the prices are even lower that what I can get from my audio distributors. I do car audio Installs on weekends so having so many brands to pick from makes it really nice. Not everyone likes the same brand of subwoofer or amp so I like Sonic Electronix because searching by brand is easy.
