Connectivity is Jensen's middle name when it comes to the VM9512. The VM9512 virtually plays all disc types (see description below for complete list) and with easy touchscreen controls all features are a finger away. The 7" LCD touchscreen can also control an iPod through the included adapter cable, 4GB worth of music stored on a SD card, digital files from a USB thumb drive or storage device. New for this year is the ability to also add an optional navigation system to the VM9512 and it also can be controlled by the touchscreen.
Another great connectivity addition for safety and convenience is the built-in Bluetooth controls that allow you to place and receive calls, as well as stream A2DP audio files through your stereo system from a compatible Bluetooth phone.
A remote mount MediaLink4 center makes it easy to add additional components, with connections for Jensen's included iPod cable, a mini jack 3.5mm auxiliary input, a USB port, and RCA connections. All ports are easily accessible on the front of the MediaLink4 interface, and it can be mounted seemingly anywhere in your vehicle, such as under your dash, in a glove compartment or center console.
The Jensen VM9512 also allows your rear-seat passengers to enjoy separate sources of entertainment from the front passenger with dual zone capability. For example, you and your driving mate in front can enjoy music, while passengers in the back can watch a movie on an optional flip-down or backseat screen.
Be sure to checkout Jensen's optional navigation system, so you can add turn-by-turn instructions with voice guidance through an easy-to-use graphic interface. The system comes with a 2GB SD card preloaded with US and Canadian maps.

I used to have a Jensen VM9511. When I saw that they came out with the 9512 I jumped all over it. These are great stereos. Your options are almost unlimited (CD, DVD, Nav, Sat, Aux out 1, 2, Video out 1, 2, Sun out, Aux in, USB, Blue tooth, IPOD, Serial Input, etc....) The retractable touch screen works flawlessly. I have now owned this product for 8 months and I have noticed 0 flaws. Jensen is a name to trust when it comes to your home or car audio!

This product is simply great. It has so many connections and inputs which give you so many choices of which device you want to play your music from. Personally i love the sd card slot the most. But i also have a ps3, 2 amps, 2 15" subs, and 2 flip down monitors all running off this unit and i have never had any problems. I would recommend to anyone who wants an in dash.

So I ordered this product basically because I wanted a flip up screen.
Pretty much everything works fine. The screen is bad in the sun so its only good at night. But in the winter the screen is fine as long as it isn't too sunny.
Pros: touch screen, lots of features
Cons: iPod capability is a little lacking, loading time gets annoying, radio sometimes static

I installed this in my 97 chevy, I upgraded to the 9512. The deck has great looks, the best ipod navigation i've ever used, (way better than my buddies pioneer he paid $1000 for). The only down side is that if you make the screen stay out (thought this was a cool feature) the screen will sometimes stay black. If you make it flip out when it comes on, it's not a problem though.
