Jensen VM9512 is awesome

I have spent lots of time researching the in dash dvd players that are out there and comparing features and cost. This unit is without question the best value when it comes to features and visual appeal.
This unit is at the price point of the cheap no name brand units that have terrible looking user interfaces and poor quality features, yet it excels in both these areas. I think the medialink module is one of the coolest things out there, i love it. It can hook up to everything and it looks great installed too.
Also, this unit comes with all cables and accessories necessary to take advantage of its features, as compared to JVC or Alpine or any other big name brand unit that is twice the cost and still charges you another $150 for the bluetooth.
The only con is that the bluetooth is sensitive to road noise to a certain extent. If the windows are down it will be tough for others to hear you clearly, they can still here you but they can tell that you are on a speaker phone or something like that. With windows down and good volume of speech, it works great.
Purchase this and you won't be sorry at all, you'll love it and look to Jensen for your future purchase.

Great Unit !@ Bells and Whistles!

I had purchased this deck from a friend, a long time ago, Still runnig strong! had a protection features that stop and help maintain its Cross wire features, so it wont be damaged, due to Wronfull hookups and use! Its all fuse and protected in and out! Great Job Jensen! U have my future bussiness! I am running it as a hi-end system, with a Zapco EQ with 12" Subs, and Zabco Mid Range, and Tweeters, I wont reveil my power, but It causes Yor eye brows to Itch, and gives all the girls Stomach Aches LOL!! Thanks Again!!

This head unit is awesome, however i can't figure out where the RCA cables from my amp for the subs are suppose to plug in.

First of all let me tell you that Sonicelectronix is a wonderful place to shop! They process orders quick and I received my product within a week. This is becasue they are located in Cali and I'm in NY. I received fast responses when sending emails but when calling for customer service that was the downside. It took me a couple of attempts to get in touch with somebody at customer service. Their mailbox is most likely full so you won't be able to leave a message. This was just a minor problem to me no biggie. I still rate the store A+ because they contacted me via email and they were very helpful and curteous. I will order from them again.

Product Review:

Although Jensen VM9510 comes with everything you want and need. The picture quality and sound quality is amazing! You can't get anything else other than this and I am not joking. For this price you simply can't go wrong. It plays everything I throw in there. I compiled 4 gigs of music videos and burned it on memorex dvd+r 16x and it runs flawlessly. I recommend using NERO software. It can create a nice looking dvd screen setup. Also, the tv tuner is another excellent feature that Jensen offers compare to the other brands. The picture quality is insanely beautiful. Besides why would you pay over 1k for something when you can get the same quality with Jensen. Unless you are probably the ones who believe that if you pay more you will get more...Well that is not true. If you want to spend 1k + on the insanely expensive units like pioneer then that is your choice. Don't let others tell you differnt about Jensen. They are a brand by AUDIOVOX. Their reputation is always a plus. That is probably why this product has 5 stars anywhere you search.

NOTE:
Please ignore individuals who say that the buttons/knobs are too sensitive because that is ridiculous. The buttons/knobs are fine and I love the way they are. It is not sensitive at all and there is nothing wrong with the knobs.

A Great Product.

I have searched the web everywhere to find this product and when I saw www.sonicelectronix.com price for this product; I honestly thought it was a scam.

However, my unit arrived in Canada, seven days later. Wow...when I opened the box, I found the mounting and wiring units needed to connect it to my car that www.sonicelectronix.com threw in for free!!! On top of that, this unit features things like optional GPS directions and satellite radio. It has so many input and outputs it boggles my mind and it has BUILT IN Dolby 5.1(tm) digital surround. You don't have to spend another $500.00 on a box for the audio features. Plus, there's no hide-away box like many other manufactures. It even has an input for an additional touch screen and features dual mode function meaning the front can listen to one thing and the back can listen to something else.

I am truly amazed since the closest version of a competitors model that barely has the features the VM9512 does was $2,200.00. Even though my car is getting older, this unit lights up the dash like Las Vegas and when people see this unit in my car, they act like I'm driving a Porche.

Read the features for yourself and take it for a test spin and return it within www.sonicelectronix.com refund date if you don't like it (even though I know you will)

P.S.: If you search the web, you can find a cheat code to bypass the units parking brake video disabler :).

Highly suggest buying this unit.

Best deal ever on a flip out touchscreen dvd deck.

This DVD deck is a great buy and at a great price to. It is easy to use and configure to your liking. I have a 2005 toyota rav4 and it fits perfectly in the dash but, i do have two separate monitors in the dash to fill up the double din space. The one downfall of the deck is that the display goes blue when in motion because of some federal laws that Jensen is sticking to and, you have to do some ridiculous sequence of engaging the hand break 3 times with 2-5 second intervals in between. It can easily be bypassed with a toggle switch and will be able to show while the car is in motion. I do however agree that you should not watch the tv and drive at the same time. Be safe and you should buy this deck!!!

This unit is sweet

I got the Jensen Vm 9512 last week and it is freakin sweet. The bluetooth is awesome you can play music through your phone, the media link is so nice it fit right in my old ash tray spot. There are so many features and expandability on it which made the install hard a mass clump of wires made it hard to fit in my chevy truck. Other than that the install is so easy. (do it yourself save some money) The picture is clean and the only thing that could make it better is if the Nav. wasn't so expensive but other than that this unit is awesome.
