Love it.

I have this sub wired up at 4 ohms giving it about 300 watts. Let me tell you, this sub hits for only costing $70. I've been running full tilt for about a year and haven't a single problem.

Good buy

I would recommend these for anyone wanting entry level bass in their car. The fit is great, binding post are well made and hold the wires tight. Only bad is the rubber surrounds are really soft and will tear very easily if you get something aginst them.

You get what you pay for.

I like how the sound hits hard, but it just can't handle the heat. I have it evenly matched with a 200 watt rms amp @4 ohm and it sounds great at first but after a 2 hard bass songs @ 3/4 power you can smell them :( they get hot. My last sub I replaced it for didn't get hot that fast, I could go an hour full power. I think maybe I should go with the punch sieres just $30 more. 250 rms yah for 1 min. I hope better from the P2 d2 we'll see?!

Good Sound Quality

These subs are very good beginner subs but they aren't going to tear a car apart with spl. I have two running from a Soundstorm 2000 watt amp like the other person that wrote a review on these. That amp pushes about 375 watts to each sub at 4 ohms, and they can't handle the full power, but they do sound really great. These speakers look sexy and are built very well. If I were to do it again I would have spend 25 dollars more and got something a little nicer.

I installed 2 of these in my 95 silverado with an under seat box running a Kenwood excelon head unit And 1000w Kenwood amp... 2 hours after hooking them up I hit 140.7 at the local db drag at roughly 3/4 power. Now after having more time tuning my amp And head unit I'm very curious to see how they do. I run them hard on a daily basis And not once have I had a problem. And they hit pretty hard for the cost.

Great Value

I have 2 of theses but at duel 4 ohm. they are crisp sounding and are great for a beginner or just for someone looking for great sound. i have them hooked up to a soundstorm 2.2000 amp with the gain about half way. the only real con i think is that they can not handle a lot of watts even the rated watts push them kinda hard so i would get a warranty just in case if you abuse your subwoofers.

Its Rockford.. whats not too love?

I bought 2 of these and I knew they would be good since they're Rockford's but I only have one installed right now powered by a very old Alpine V12 120 watt amp which is nowhere near enough and its a 4ohm amp so if I bridge it the amp cuts off periodically, so its pushing about 60 or so watts to this speaker and it still sounds awesome, it's clear and would be pretty loud if it has the right wattage, and hits some pretty low notes, overall it's an amazing budget sub, but if you want too be really loud go with the p2, p3, or a power... once you own a Rockford they will ruin all other brands for you.

Great Sub

I have had 2 of these hooked up for about 6 months now and haven't had a single problem yet. They hit hard for the price and look very clean and crisp. Honestly to the average person who wants a system these if hooked up right and to a good amp will blow you away. If you are one of those people who already has a taste for subs and wants something crazy, spend a little more money and get something else.

Worth the price

This sub it worth it's price as long as you give it enough power it does the job. I'm only feeding it 240W in a sealed box and my gain control is only half way with my head unit sub control on -16! The sub produces just the right bass not too soft and not too punchy. Awesome sub for a budget SQ or loud and clear setup!

I bought this cable knowing it was a great cable. I've been told it doesn't get better than this. I have it connect to my 1500 Rockford Fosgate amp and 2 12" L7 square kickers. It sounds great and hear nothing but bass coming from my speakers. Must buy!

Great Kit

Great kit, I have a kenwood 1800 watt amp that I am using. The one thing that I really liked about this kit is that the power wire is actually long enough to reach my trunk space and I have plenty of slack left over.

Nice bass

I compared these with the punch P1S4-12 and by surprise they sound very close to the same the only difference between them is the prime seems to have better foot bass. Definitely recommend for rock or heavy metal music they bring out some serious beats

I have always been a big fan of rockford and usually like to stick to just a few brands. Had this amp kit on my last civic hooked up to a rockford P1000-1D amp and this kit delivered the power! Value and Performance

This subwoofer is a great entry-level product that really shines in performance. I'm not new to car audio I remember hooking up car stereos for my buddies in high school back in the 2000s. This Rockford Fosgate sub reminds me of subs that easily cost 2-3 times as much less than ten years ago in loudness, clarity, and power handling. Sonic Electronix and Rockford Fosgate really nailed it. I'll definitely be doing more business with both in the next upcoming projects. Fast and easy delivery was a nice Bonus Too!!

good buy

I bought one of these and put it in a sealed box. The amp I am using is a R Fosgate 7001bd. The amp has too much power so the gain is set somewhere around half. I'll be 50 this year and I guess I don't like super loud bass anymore but I need some bass. My 07 accord's stock system doesn't cut it. Now the sub is doing a great job and is about what I expected. Nice lows and sounds great when I do turn it up.

awesome wiring kit

this kit was perfect for my setup. the included 100 amp fuse was just the right size for my amp. also the extra strands of wire compared to regular cable made it able for me to not need a capacitor in my system. The fuse block could be a little farther from the end lug, and the lugs would be a lot better if they were soldered on ins ted of crimped but its perfect for the price.

Good overall

This was a pretty good buy but it wasn't perfect. It didn't come with any crimps for my ground wire to connect to my amp. Luckily I had a lower level kit that I didn't want to use with my system laying around. I saw another review about the fuse holder. Same here. Wasn't something I had seen before and took me a little while to figure it out. I used this to connect my 2 Kenwoods in my 97 civic myself 6 months ago. All the cords were a good length except maybe the power cord. It fit but I didn't have really any slack. The wire was definitely true gauge wire. Haven't had any problems since I've hooked it up. Little pricey for the inconveniences but it does the job well.

Good speaker

Good kit-

It was a good kit, I did have a couple problems figuring out the fuse block (it was nothing that I had seen before) but I figured it out. Other than that- it was a good kit at a great price.

No need of a huge review here. Very sturdy, carpeting is great, leaves me with alot of space in my trunk. It holds 2 kicker CVR's that are 1600 watts max. Wont be dissapointed if you buy this! I've had it for 6 months and not a single problem!

Solid As A Rock

Box was bought for the Pioneer 3000 watt 12" Subs and its a Perfect Match for them plus,it saves trunk space. Subs Mounting Holes are nice cut. However,I did add a extra lining of polyfil but,it was nothing to it. "GOOD BOX" For Subs that requires small enclosures!

How Can It Get Any Better?

If your looking for a 4 gauge kit, especially for the money. Look no further, you can spend $50 more on a 4 gauge kit & the quality just won't get any better. The most flexible cables I've ever used, & very true to the 4 gauge spec. As soon as you open the box & take your cables out, you immediately know that you purchased the highest quality wire that money can buy. The kit came with everything needed for the install, no problems with the fuse holder, no problems whatsoever. I've had this kit 8 months & running, I recommended this kit to a friend (which is super picky about his wiring ect) & he wouldn't ever buy a different brand of wiring now. I highly recommend this wiring kit, I imagine a man could keep this wiring kit well over 10 years & never have a problem out of it.. If I get another vehicle, I'm taking it out and transferring it over.. Well worth it, don't spend money on a cheap kit & have to wind up buying this kit & being out of more money. Trust me, it's the best, absolutely no regrets here, 110% satisfaction.

Impressed

I have had many complements from friends seeing this box in action and it even hits harder than some ported boxes. My friends own with the same subs I guess the filling inside really makes the difference but the only down side is that the box is rather small in person but that gives u more trunk space. Overall the box does its job just fine.

Box is fantastic. Comes with padding, perfectly sized. My dual 12 inchers sound fantastic.

Great box!

I received this box with a bass combo deal, and I wasn't expecting the best quality. But when I received it I was pleasantly surprised. It is made of 3/4 inch MDF which makes it solid and heavy and very sturdy. Its sealed nicely and I have had no air leaks whatsoever, my only complaint is the use of cheap binding posts. Prefab boxes can work just fine, you just have to pay close attention to the air requirements of your sub and that of the box.

Great Box for a Great Price.

Put my 2 Rockford P2D2 12's in here along with my Hifonics 1000 RMS amp. These things slam in my Regal. Recommendation to people with older cars and higher wattage systems, dynomat your trunk, and better yet the rest of your car. You will enjoy the quality of your sound so much more. If you have the money I say it's well worth it. Also make sure your license plates are secure on your car, no one likes trunk rattle. Overall I give this Sub Box 4.9 stars. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a second layer of polyfil, it's pretty thin with just one layer. Wasn't a big deal, I went and picked up a bag of polyfil for around $5 and lined it myself.

It's a box

What can you say?, It's a box, like many other boxes, it is kind of cubed shaped, and well, like a box.. Seems to be put together well, hook ups were provided, NICE, as far as boxes go, it is a nice one for the money. Does just what it is supposed to do, converts trunk space to loud thumping.. I'm happy with it, neighbors not so much, lol..

Crossfire Amp

Not as well as known manufacturer, but this amp meets its numbers. My Type-R paired with it puts the Boom in the trunk. If you have a larger you may want some more power.

This I very well built

Bought this box in with the 2 keenwood bundle with the amp kit havent tried the amp out yet but I have installed the subs in the box an only on 70rms from my Sony stereo they hit real real good so I do recommend this product to everyone who likes really clean deep bass
