Bang$ for the buck.

I can't complain. I have a nice amplifier with 400 rms at 2 ohms. It is basically maxed.

It sound goooood. No distortion. Can go higher but it is a little bit overkill.

If you can power it with 400~RMS~ it will sound good. I have a closed box. Nothing special. Have had 4 different 12" subs in them and I can tell this one is here to stay. Never buy used! I learned this the hard way.

The single 12" is a very nice accessory.

Pioneer 12" Champion DV Sub

I needed to add the Lower End to my System. I've never been satisfied with the Deepness of 10" Subs. They're great for Punch, but not as satisfying in the Deepest Bass. When I received the Pioneer 12" my first impression was disappointment. After tapping on the Cone to hear the Free Air Resonance, I didn't think It was going to reach deep enough into the Bass. I also discovered (after I had drilled the Mounting Holes) that the Mounting Holes were not perfectly Symetrically Spaced. Because the Speaker was Upside Down when I drilled the Holes, I had to mount it Upside Down for the Screws and Holes to Line Up. (Hint - Make sure the Speaker is Exactly Positioned as you want it before drilling.) After mounting and hooking up this Sub to a Kicker 300 Watt Amp, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it do a fair job of reproducing Deep Bass, it has Punch I never expected. I think there are better subs for the Deepest of Bass, but if you're looking for a Compromise between the sound of a great 12" and that of a great 10", then this is a good fit.

Great value

For the price you cant beat it. Matched it with the Alpine MRD-M500 amp at 2 ohms in a 1.6 ft^3 vented box and it hits hard! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a entry level sub.

I recently received this subwoofer and it is incredible! I have it aired to an alpine mrp-m500 class d amp pushing 500 watts at 2 ohms in a sealed box. It is better than anything I have ever heard. Even my friend says it sounds great and he is very picky about car audio. In a sealed box this subwoofer will hit lows cleanly and clearly, the best part is they those lows are still very loud you can feel them vibrating the back of your seat. Even in the front seat. I would strongly recommend this subwoofer to anyone that wants a flawless sounding setup for years.

Not disappointed.

Recently blew both my 12in subs ts-w1207d4 champion series and I honestly loved them, the sound and everything. But, unfortunately they blew which sucked. So I went on the journey to find 2 new 12in subs to match the power of my old ones. Then I found these with a amazing price and good wattage for peak to match my 2000watt amp. So, these came in and was not disappointed put them in instantly to my box for my 1999 chevy Silverado and damn do they destroy everything. If I crack my windows and turn them on full blast they will start ripping paper. Already pulled over for them but they are amazing for a reasonable price !

It's awesome, exactly what i wanted, great quality in terms of the product build and terminals. Manual had the answer to all my questions and all the specs are what they were listed as.

i had this in the belva ported box from sonic and the fli acid mono block amp 1200 watt. the amp said it was 600watt rms at 2ohm. it was bumping for what it was. i had alot of people ask if it was a 15 or 2 12s. it was prob more the box. i pushed the sub for about 2 months and then sold it. the surround on the sub turned white.... but ppl say it is normal. great dual 4 ohm sub for the money. esp if your on a budget. i got the box amp and sub for less then 215. if you had to get wires less then 250 for a good set up. the install bay 4gauge kit is great. ive used it 2x now. buy it. its super easy to run it down to 2 ohm

Hits hard!

I bought a combo set consisting of a Sony Xplod sub and amp that put out around 300RMS about a year and a half ago. I found out, for whatever reason, that my sub would not hit hard or at all below freezing. I live in MD, and last winter was a brutal, quiet winter for me. So I decided to upgrade before it got cold this winter. Boy what an improvement! This thing bumps! I was holding off to write the review until temps dropped, and today it was 14 degrees out and hit hard! The construction and build quality feels tough, and the magnet seems very large for the size of the sub, although part of that could be the plastic cover over the magnet. Either way, this 400 watt RMS sub completely destroys my "introductory" sub kit, and was deff a steal.

Great mono amp for Price

This is one of the cheaper amps, but does rated or close to rated power. 60 amps of fuses for 450rms @2ohms. For people who complain about fuses popping and this amp not working, YOU ARE WIRING YOUR SUBWOOFER INCORRECTLY. Clearly not one ohm stable and some reviews I read people blame the amp. Know how to use your stuff. Great amp, gets any sub in the right enclosure loud.

Got 2 hooked up to my 1000 watt Memphis mono block and they slap for the money and ive had them for 6 months now and they make my jaw shake!

Review of Pioneer AMP

The amp worked fantastic for several months until it stopped working. There was a bad fuse but something took out the amp when it blew the fuse. I thought the amp had safety's built in to stop this kind of thing but they didn't work. We did purchase another amp same one and installed it and so far it works great again. I need to find a place to get the first one repaired if possible.

Amazing for the price!

Pro's: sounds great, nice solid hits, plays through the ranges very crisp.

Con's: SHINEY, so it shows little scuff marks easy, and the grill i bought doesn't fit it. :(

i push 600w rms out of my amp, and this sub is rated at 400w rms... It's hanlding it so far, but my amp is known to blow subs APART. We will see how long it holds up...

excellent woofer

Great buy!! I put mine in a custom built ported box, just one at 400 watts rattles the lift gate on my jeep pretty well! I will definitely be buying more from sonic.

Another GREAT Pioneer subwoofer

I have a 309S4 in my wifes car and one im my step daughters car. I had two of the 309D4 in my metro. They really impressed me. Been a LONG time since I have heard a sub this loud with such a good transient response in this price range. I have been into car audio system building for 22 years. I purchased 6 of the newer 310D4 for my Caravan. I have them on an MB Quart ONX1.2000D and they rock! I am going to order two more within the next month and put a wall in my van. Look out windshield!

Incredable

I was expecting a loud system when I was getting two 12's but these things... You can actually hear the bass from a mile away! These get really loud, and wont distort! I really have no complaints, they look good too, and came with 8 screws and foam to seal around it. Got these 50% off for cyber monday, great deal!!

Awesome speaker for the price.

These things hit, i have 2 of them with an RE AUDIO DTS1500, then upgraded to a memphis prx1000.1 and they handle every bit of it.

I installed this amp over a month ago into an inclosed compartment in the back of a SUV. It has worked flawlessly without over-heating since. I really like the remote power control that comes with the unit too. It makes for easy volume control to the sub.

Great product for the price!

These are the first Pioneer subs I've owned. I've always had another brand but I didn't want to pay that much this time. I have to say I can't tell a difference between the ones I had and these. I would and already have recommend this product.

Definitely Recomend

For the price i would definitely recommend this product. They aren't contest winning subs but when put with a decent amp they sound great and pound pretty well especially for the price. I have owned them for about 9 months now and haven't had any problems so far. if you need a good reliable sub for a decent price i would recommend these.

awesome amp

Great amp for the price. Love the bass control knob. I have it powering a 12" alpine type r. It is a liitle too big for concealment.

Wouldn't Recommend

This amp has had so many problems. When i first got it in October it worked great, it pushed my 12s hard. But after ten minutes of not even full power it heats up and goes into protect mode. And i have only heard it a few times since november because it doesnt work in the cold. This amp is terrible. Do not buy if you live anywhere where the temperature drops below 50 degress.

#1 Rated 12" Sub in 2014

This sub has a great sound. Brings in lower frequencies with great clarity. It is air space hungry wanting 1.24 cubic feet but sounds fantastic with 1.02 I could provide. It is highly efficient at 96 DB sensitivity and 2ohm capable if you want to run it solo. Running just one and it will literally shake the hair on your head. Great buy and frat product!!!

Great replacement

Bought this to replace my polk audio dxi112. Put this sun in the box with the original mounting spacer from the old one and it sounded terrible.. I got rid of the spacer and installed the sub flush with new screws and this result was phenomenal. This sub kicks really nice and has great lows.. Not too much distortion or cracks.. Highly recommend.

Great sub

Great sub at a great price. This sub sounds great at every level of bass. Hits hard and does not distort at high volumes. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

Beyond expectations

I previously owned the 309s4's they are the single voice coil 12 in woofers, they pounded every time i turned the car on, pounded like no tomorrow but then one died, so i check out the new line and see the 310s4's and they are about the same price... but i scroll further and see that the dual coils are the same exact price so i went out on a limb and bought them.. something i don't regularly do, and god damn was i impressed!!! the d4's have such deep and clear lows and crisp and clear high's its just unbelievable... i wouldn't look any farther if you want the best bang for your buck... these are on the highest end of quality for the price!!!!

Great sound

Had this sub for about a month and it's freakin loud! Love to get it ported to be louder and lower but pioneer recommended this sub for sealed which is good since I need the space but it's still pretty big. Overall, great sub for the price. Can't wait til I get the pioneer AVH x3500bht put in to enhance the sq.

This amp is not so bad pushes my 12" I've had no problems with even if its all the way up. only gone into protection mode once because it was a very hot day 100 degrees. and no air conditioning in the car.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

All I can say is WOW! Words can't describe! These TS-W310D4's are UNBELIEVABLE! Freakin LOUD! Excellent LOW's to even a tight punchy bass and everything in between! Installed 2 in a custom 1.5cf per sub sealed box, paired up to a Pioneer GM-D8601 mono amp wired to 1ohm load "SERIOUSLY ALL YOU NEED". I used to be a KICKER only fan as I had the old school L5 12" solo-baric and just wanted to expand & try something new. It CAN'T compare to these subs, especially for the money! I've been in and out of car audio for 25yrs and the only system I can even campare these subs to are the (2) 15 Kicker Comps I had paired to a Coustic 660 amp over 20yrs ago! I'm IMPRESSED beyond measure with these subs and have quickly become a PIONEER fan! If your lookin for an excellent sub at a great price you can't go wrong with the TS-W310D4's!!!! Now I gota re-do and amp up the rest of my system as the bass just drowns out my mids and highs! But thats a good problem to have!

Good enough to power smaller subs

I bought this to match up to my 12 inch Kicker CVR dual 4 ohm sub, wired to 2 ohm impedance. It was a decent sounding combination but after the amp began to overheat (despite the fact air is able to be around and go underneath the amp) I decided to upgrade to JL Audio

Great sub's! Hits both hard & lows. Only con is the recommended enclosure is for SPL. Add a cubit foot if you want lower bass.

I installed one of these for a customer very easy to work , very user friendly. Did some testing with this amp and it comes very close to the stated power rating . No second battery needed. I highly suggest and recommend this product

Great Value

Some of my friends spent more than $135.00 for their amps. After hearing mine and what I spent, they wanted to hook it up to their subs. I let two try it. They were impressed with the output and wished they had known about the Jensen 900.

Not worth it

I bought this amp thinking that it would be good to power my 15' Kicker CVR. I wasn't looking for big bass but I wanted a little bit of punch.. It pushed it good at first (for like a week), then the fuses blew. Then I bought new fuses and they blew within an HOUR! I had 4 gauge wiring though. My guess is that I had too much power into this amp and it was trying to push a bada** speaker. I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for awesome bass, but if you want to push a little 10" sub just to have a little boom or some 6x9's, then go for it.

Great AMP SO FAR

I have this amp pusing 2 ZSTAT 12's and it hits pretty hard, I have not had any problems with this amp, it could use a little more true power though.

Was simple to install, good power output. Good deal for the price.

Decent Amp for the price.

This is a decent low level amp, but now into summer I am having much trouble with the amp overheating BEFORE I even get into the car. If my car sits in the sun for an hour or two, the amp will not power up the sub, goes into a safe mode.

Mostly this does not bother me since I usually have my car in the garage or under covered parking, but for anyone who parks in the sun often I would not recommend this amp. Save your money for a brand name amp.

Works Awesome

was really nervous about this purchase after reading the reviews for the amp. it was supposed to have heating problems and preform poorly in the cold but im completely pleased with this setup. i live in new england and have been going through a pretty cold past couple of weeks and this thing hasn't missed a beat. completely out preforms my expectations. its a great sub if your on a tight budget and it slams!

Awesome Deal, Great Sound

I recently purchased this and I have to say that i'm fully pleased with it. Seriously guys, if you're on a tight budget and really want a good system for a low price, this is the one. I was'nt too sure about the whole one sub thing but I decided to roll with it. And luckily for me I made the right move. This thing bumps. And not just a little. I like rock and rap, and this combo does excellent for the both. If i put some Gorilla Z on everyone i drive by looks ha. It produces clear, clean, and loud BASS. I built my own ported box, (due to the budget thing!) and I was surprised to feel the bass rattling my chest once I got it all set up. Its a great buy. shipped on Tuesday and got here Thursday afternoon. Just remember to tune your things, (Box, Amp, Stereo) appropriately and it'll get the job done. Great job on the combo SonicE!

seriouslyu this thing is the bomb you are a fool for the price to not buy it and i can granutee you that this set-up will blow any other combination out of the water even those weak competitions one no problem so get one and get on with your lives

Great combo

Was a little skeptical with the Jensen amplifier having a peak of only 900. The RMS was reasonable so I decided to buy it. The Jensen is very well made, a hundred times better than I expected. You will not be disappointed. The pioneer sub is better than a kicker 12" any day. I have this combo is a Sound Ordnance ported box and it bumps. Louder than my friends dual MTX 12's.
