Tight sound
Box is well built. Handles hard knock with no box vibration. Make sure you stuff the box with poly. Makes it sound twice as big

Sounds awesome, great quality
I have 2 Pioneer TS W3003D4 12" subs in this box. I was doubting the airspace but let me tell you, if you want these subs to last, and you want to run them at a true 1200 watts RMS, do yourself a favor and get this enclosure. Any bigger and you might wreck the subwoofer suspension or motors after a bit. The subs are VERY loud in it. I didn't want to deal with the whole prefabricated ported box crap (yet) and I did not want to pay $200 for a nice custom made ported enclosure. Plus, I really hate how ported boxes only allow you to play music a few hertz around tuning frequency. I wanted clean precise bass at all frequencies. Trust me sealed boxes CAN pound, and cleanly. Only thing I would STRONGLY recommend is you dont even use the speaker terminals on the box. I have my 12 gauge subwoofer wires ran through the box via a drilled hole, and into a 2 in 1 power/ground distribution block (1 distribution block for each sub, 4 wires in from sub, 2 wires out to amp), each distribution block has two 8 gauge wires going from it to my subwoofer amp speaker inputs. If you dont want to spend more money, you can just connect some 12 gauge wires straight to your amp through a drilled hole in the box as previously mentioned.
Drill a hole in each chamber, wire the subs with 12 gauge wire to the amp and seal the hole with a hot glue gun, or expanding foam spray and silicone. Let it dry overnight.
That being said, the bass on 2 12s in this box, and my SoundQubed 1200 mono amp is very loud and hits hard. Roof flexes and windshield flexes when I want it to. But of course, if I want very musical bass, this box does it flawlessly aswell. It does it all. Deep bass, low bass that shakes everything hard, and great punchy and "kicky" bass if you like Rock or Electronic music.

Well made, excellent quality
After researching many sealed enclosures, I was able to speak with Sonic Electronics technical support (spoke with Jeremy). He was very knowledgeable and assisted me in many ways. He even went as far as emailing me sound graphs that correlate to the exact box that would work best for my 12 inch subs. Box is strong and very well made. Great Customer experience as well.

Great box
This is a very good constructed box, and the "carpet" finish is flawless. The spring loaded terminals are a breeze to use, and hooked up easily using 12 gauge wire. However, the reason for only three stars on ease of use was because the cutout diameter was slightly too big for the Alpine subs I installed. But because of the power supplied to them, I left the original baffle on the box and glued and screwed a new baffle with the correct size cutouts on the box and covered it with exact fabric. Can't go wrong with a double baffle lol...great box overall.

Its a really well built box the only thing i would change is the connectors they need to be updated to better ones.

Decent for the price.
I purchased this to house a pair of subs for a budget HiFi system in building for my office. I normally don't go for pre-fabs, but these are made of sturdier material, fit my specific drivers, and the price was low enough that it really wasn't worth my time to build basically the same enclosure myself. Other than some minor shipping damage, I'm pretty pleased.
Pros
- Cheap: I don't know that I could buy the materials locally for the price of this box. Add in the time saved, and it's a no-brainer for a simple sealed box.
- Sturdy: unlike most pre-fabs, this is actually built out of 3/4 inch MDF. They also separated the chambers so the middle wall adds some bracing.
- Fit and finish are good for the price. It's just basic black auto carpet, but it doesn't feel cheap and everything is seamed well
Cons
- I wish they'd put the terminal cups on the back of the enclosure instead of on the side. For a home setup, the side terminals prevent you from standing the box up vertically. In home or car, they make the install look messier as you can't hide the wires as easily.
- Shipping: the box had some cardboard corner protectors, but not much else in the way of protection. Mine arrived with a couple of dings on the corners that expose the MDF through the carpet. Not enough to worry about an exchange, but a little bit of styrofoam would help avoid it.

great value !
for many years, i would always build my own enclosures. nowadays with a busy schedule and a clean garage, i have nearly stopped building enclosures anymore. time consuming, plus everything in the garage ends up covered in dust. when Atrend offers exactly what i need, i do not hesitate to buy, this enclosure is no exception. strong construction, clean edges, excellent quality, value, and a huge time saver. plus i can never seem to get the carpet just right. for me, the carpet came out perfect.
excellent selection plus fast shipping, you can't go wrong with SonicElectronix.

Atrend 12DQ
I usually build my own enclosures because most enclosures that come off a assembly line are junk. I didn't have time to build a box so for the first time ever i ordered one. This box is ok. There was a small dent on the back corner I'm sure that was from shipping. I see so many bad reviews on prefab enclosure because they show up damaged. Shipping has nothing to do with the product itself. That being said you would think the people who package the boxes would learn by now to put heavy Styrofoam on all corners. The box seems solid. The front baffle is 3/4 but the rest of the box is under 3/4 closer to 5/8. When I build my boxes I like to see the glue seep out the joints so I know is has a good bond. I didn't see any indication of the glue around the joints on this box. That makes me think they didn't use enough glue. A lot of these companies will use hot melt glue on the joints and that doesn't work. Hot glue can't absorb into the wood like wood glue can. So im not sure what kind of glue was used on this box. Seems wasn't sealed all that great so for peace of mind I sealed all the seems again. I also add some bracing. I'm installing 2 earthquake sound dbxi 12s and I'm going to push them to the max and see if this enclosures will hold up.

Good build quality
This box is great looking first of all. Came with a nick in it but thats shipping not sonic. Fits perfect in my 2013 chevy sonic with two kicker compr 12 d4 at one ohm. Has decent enough terminals that i have no worries on air leaking out. Build quality is good too. Shipping was prompt and on time. Love this box would order another when i need one

Impressive
So I'm new to Alpine subs, in my youth I ran kicker and the occasional JL audio, as I got older I ran Rockford fosgate if I wanted to get loud but generally went back to JL. This time I wanted loud with clarity and quality but the JL w7 and many times the w6 is just too much money. So I got a 10" type x, and built a box the exact spec.s, and pushed it and a TW3 with 1200w RMS (2400 PEAK) and liked it so much I just purchased a 12" type x, and even in a prefab box the two type Xs are loud, low, and produce some of the best bass I've ever heard.

Top of the line
This beauty makes massive sound. It pours massive bass into my car. Custom box tuned to 34hz lets this sucker hit like a 15". The low to midrange bass it produces sounds phenominal! The bass is worth the price no doubt.

NOT A RELATABLE SUBWOOFER
This subwoofer has an aluminum heat sink that came loose and shot out of the dust cap and with the speaker grill holding it inside, destroyed the paper cone, coil and spyder are still in tacked. And just 18 days after the warranty ran out. The amp I ordered is still within the year of purchase so I know this subwoofer didn't make it past a year. The amplifier used was an Alpine X-A90M with the gain set with an SMD DDM

Great sub
I have had many type R 12 and this time was running a bigger amp so needed something that would handle the power so I am running each sub off a pdx-m12 on each one and they sound amazing and hit hard

Excellent sound quality. Very accurate bass.
Very good s.q and good so I. Strong sub. Alpine is legendary even if they have fallen off some since the early 2000s

Finally got a good box and it makes my subs perform even better. This is what I needed. Sturdy, quality built box
Shipping
The box is well built and sounds great. The reason is durability due to shipping. Not sure who should be responsible for shipping box with corner protection but either way Sonic stepped in and refunded me a portion of my money due to corner damage during shipping. The box came in a standard cardboard box with no protection inside. This really should be a standard.
