Good Box

Great box does well with my subs would buy again

Extremely Accurate

For a $200 subwoofer driver, this piece is one of the most accurate in it's price bracket.

What does it do for you? It creates a listening pleasure like no other, whether you listen to classical, rock, pipe organ, or any other genre of music, this speaker delivers.

It's quick response is well appreciated. I would or could go on and on about the different setups and what yielded the most listening pleasure, but that would be highly selective to my ears.

Bottom line is I would recommend this speaker on any given day of the week.

well structured subs

Great subs, sounds awesome. Just can't get the subwoofers displacement anywhere and I'm having difficulty contacting technical support

Heavy Duty!

I would recommend this product for the guy's out there that are serious about their music. If you got good, high quality subs, then this box will make them perform to your sub's max output with out worry of blowing up your box.

POUND POUND POUND!!!

That's all these do is POUND! They sound amazing. I have them ran 1 ohm to my Hifonics X2200.1, giving them 1000 watts RMS easily, and they are begging for more. Can't wait to get them in a custom box (going to do 1.9 cubic ft per chamber tuned to 30-34 hz), and have them really perform. NVX is great quality, and sound amazing. Heads turn when you have these in your trunk!!!!

Best subs yet!

I bought the NVX VCW124s (2) to use in my vehicle with a Hifonics Brutus 2200 RMS Monoblock amp. The subs Voice coils are hooked in parallel giving me roughly a 2 Ohm load per speaker. So these babies are capable of getting 1100 amps RMS each but I don't push them that hard because I really don't need too and I want them to last. They hit harder than any sub I have ever bought and I am a solid NVX believer now. I also just bought the entry level NSW122s at a great deal, 2 for $99! If you are thinking about these, DO IT! You will not be disappointed one bit, and then you will likely not even consider anything else but NVX when it comes to serious performance and value.

product worked for my new hifonics subs. that will be a winter system for my ride so i don't have to keep my main subs in all year round. i really like it mostly because its has black carpeting.

The Box that Rocks

Appears to be fairly well built. Arrived with a little dent and a tear but its too little to bother with. Sounds nice but doesn't hit as deep as I would have liked. Small size however, leaves me some room for a couple of bags of groceries. Three stars for durability since I've only owned this for about a month.

Amazing Enclosure, Even Better Price.

Ordered this as my first enclosure, put two 12" subs in it and I haven't found a box that hits as hard and as clean as this one has. Will definitely buy from SonicElectronix again for my car audio needs.

Fast and easy great buy

I got my complete set up: 12" kicker subs box 1000watt Mbquart amp and amp kit. I have always installed my own equipment, I found it helpful that they have videos that covered some of the product they carry. There are a few shop's in Texas like Best buy and Custom Sounds that offer equipment. But the professionalism of the knowledgeable staff the price and the reliability made it clear that I wanted to do business with them.

solid sealed box!!!

Cant beat the price. But it is really very good box. I put two 12" hifonic,also bought from here, with a 2 channel 1000 watt amp.It really shook my rearview mirror in my '97 towncar. My brother loved it so we put it in his '92 prelude.Wow!!! You can hear him before you see him. Great buy!!!

Its a box

have kicker 12, they sound alright have some loose paneling in my car, so I'm having trouble getting the clarity I want. over all its a box and it works.

Took long to get home but worth the wait out of the box it was just an impressive subwoofer triple stack good looking and made Super tuff loaded them to a ported box and theyre louder than my broken in alpine type R subs i just love them definitely hi def sound thumbs up to nvx thanks sonicelectronix

i recommend this subwoofer to any one who is looking to get big bass for the right money i have three of these in a q power three hole m.d.f box and running them off of a 3000 watt s.p.l amp and all i have to say is holey chees and bees knees i can hear the bass six block's away and feel the bass running on to my chest from three and people have told me when i am washing my car and i have every thing playing start's to knock their china and glass cups out from their place. i plan to un pug one until i get another battery as well as a battery isolator do to my head light's diming and having to jump start my car every now and then i already got a strike Capacitor that is 10 farad so as soon as that all comes in BOOM im back is business ... other than that al i got left to say is that give it a try and i know you will love it... i was a kicker hater i always hated those subwoofer's and when i heard them in my friend's car on a boss amp i was wowd so when i was told that n.v.x was just as good as m.t.x i said to my self i will try one for my self and i loved them so much i bought three as well as a q power 3 hole box

NVX is a great company

Ok first off let me say my last system was 2 american bass xfl 12 (old style baskets) on a crescendo 2000d at .5ohm..could burp a mid 147db at 35hz.. had that setup for over a year..
anyhow i sold everything and went almost a entire year with NO bass at all..not even a cd player..
so i decided to get back into audio again..I 1st heard of nvx from mazda2284 on youtube.. and after talking to him i decided to order some nvx products..
i have 2 of these vcw 12s on a BELVA 5000d.. wired to 1ohm and gains set and O SCOPED for a CLEAN 2000w.. i have a 180a alternator and 150amp hr of battery bank and 0g wires..
i have these subs in a 3.8 cubic foot NET (meaning each sub really sees 1.9 cubes each) using 14" of port per cubic foot and tuned to 30hz..
i 1st tried the recommended 1.2 cube ported box but the ouput was absolutely HORRIBLE.. the 1.9 cubes REALLY made them come to life
they are JUST as loud as my xfls were and play a good bit lower also (xfls struggled below 25hz these nvx's play 20hz EASILY)
and they take the power all day long.. with my voltage dropping to around 13.2s full tilt i can play for a constant 1hr and the subs are still COOL and so is the amp

Buy it NOW before it's doubled in price!

These subs are the BEST I have ever owned or heard anywhere and the price is way bellow what their competitors are asking for similar subs at NVX specs. I own 3 of these babies and am planning on buyin nothing but these subs for my subwoofer needs. Buy these subs NOW at these prices while you still can because the are definitely going to get more expensive and soon too. My next purchase will be for the VCW15 for another home subwoofer custome build. I only wish they made an 18" subwoofer for my current 18" subwoofer satellite custome built box that is good but could be so much better with an NVX subwoofer at its core. Amazing sound, quality, and value!

amazing spl,sq, sub buy it !!!

i just got this sub have it in a 1.8 cube box at 30 hz when i say 1.8 thats what the sub is getting with all displacements. this sub hits lows better than any sub i have heard in my life amazing then it still bangs every other note as well its just all around amazing powering a kicker 1200.1 and eating up the power has 20xmax wich is amazing as well just well built and flawless design buy this subwoofer

Great box

I have this box with 2 kickers 12 in back of a Nissan altima and they soundgreat. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely buy again. Sonic electronix is the best

better bass if you cant afford the bigger stuff

I have the vcw's the vsw's and now ordered the nsw's I heard them in a friends car and he had three in the trunk and that's just how I pack them my self and I was surprised by the same power of bass the only difference is the other is more power. lets just say you get what you pay for.

Great Box

I ordered this for 2 crunch gpv's about six months ago because I didn't have the tools to properly build my own box. After six months this box is still holding up and works perfect with my subs.

Awesome "BANG" for your buck

I am on a budget, like most of us. I needed a nice looking box for a reasonable price. For $52.00 you can't beat it.
I loaded my 2 12" Alpine TypeS subwoofers in it. Mounted my amp to the back and they are still going strong.

If you made this sub the reference standard to ALL subs... Most sub companies would go Belly up Before the day was over..That's about how good the 124's are. W6"s cannot produce the firmer bass at 35 below that these can. NVX has done something special.. They decided that greed isn't going to rule them. Subs like these generally run at least triple the price. The low end is nothing short of phenomenal...WOW is all I can say especially around the 40 to 25hz range!!! Firm ,solid and clean. I'm talking Bass and not mid range. I made a huge mistake!!! I just bought one when two would've offered the perfect balance for impact.I shall get another but make sure you get a good powerful amp perhaps NVX jl or arc audio.. I rate these right up there with the W7's..They are really close for 1/4 the price!!!Price Quality and Sound just doesn't get much better..only possibility for better sound is a newer technology before the speaker .Processors and the like..

I'm running (2) at 1Ω with a Hifonics 1600.1. Now granted, I have them under-powered at 800 watts each in my 2 door 89 GMC C1500, but they are simply powerful, clean & worth the investment.

I've read other reviews regarding subs & their companies, and most bass-heads and audio enthusiasts are trying to steer clear from NVX because they are a newer company... but I must insist, give them a try. I have had great experience with NVX, including but not limited to SQ, equipment quality, durability & pricing.

These just murder the competition.

This sub is the real deal buy it before this company becomes well known and the price goes crazy. This sub is by far the best buy for a 200 dollar woofer and when installed in a slightly larger than recommended enclosure will produce bass almost as well as my w7. If I could do it all again I would buy nvx only and save myself a small fortune.

High Quality

The NVX Is a great product. I think there better most all of the name brand audio. I've been competing, and installing for over 30 years. I recommend their audio, and there woofers are mean & sweet... Sonic Electronix is an Awesome company! Thanx...

Solid Box

Ok so I bought this box because I wanted a quick sealed enclosure for my 2 JL W3's. The box is made pretty solid, true 3/4 MDF but the caulk job on the inside was kind of off but that's nitpicking. Haha after 3 weeks though of pushing my W3s the top of the box is leaking air. So not the best made but definitely a good pre fab and pretty cheap. Can't really complain. It is nailed together tho so yea..

Stoked with the sound quality of the sub and surprised by the box I got in the package. I thought it was a useless throw-in but it is not bad at all. The bass output is great and now I am second guessing whether I should even build a box. Powering 1200 watts with a Hifonics 1ch amp.

SImply Awsome

Sub are hard hitting body shaking beast. I have two of them in a vented box. they can definitely take watts. If you are into deep hard hitting bass, these are the subs for you. I simply love the,.

It's a box without a hole

Solid sealed enclosure. Two of them barely fit in the back of my 02 Focus SVT 3 door. The binding posts are cheap, I tightened them as I would other posts but one out of eight wouldn't tighten because the thread tolerance is poor and it acts like its stripped, I can get some pressure on the wire but I worry it will come loose. Probably worth spending a little more money on a better enclosure but it works fine if you're on a budget.

Superb Sub

This is a great sub..My mistake was to not buy two of these, yet I still can and will.You get strong and clean bass at a lower frequency where many other subs fade. I compared this one sub to two W3s. The low end from about 35 to 25hz is nothing short of remarkable. I compared these to w6.s side by side with the W6 in it's special made enclosure. The lows are more pronounced. I was using the 1000/1 jl amp.ported box tuned to about 30.. Jl was solid on the higher bass frequencies but NVX was clearly stable and clean on the lower end.jl at the same low frequency was questionably stable even though the sound was produced it didn't share the impact or the firmness..If you hook these subs up correctly you can have some of the best sounding subs you will ever hear.Haven't compared them to W7's yet..Beautifully sounding ,beautifully made sub.. NVX products are of a special class.Great doesn't always have to come with a huge price tag..

Update 9-4-24

Had these original v1's for 10 years now and they are still pounding! I changed to a 2.0 cf per chamber ported box tuned to 32hz and added the vad1700.1 amp. Amazing!!!! Never even knew they had the v3 versions. I hope they are good as well!!!

very good sub box

The box is very good at 1.25 cubic feet. I'm running 2 12's with 800 watts rms and it hasn't shattered. Wish it was 1.35 cubic to accommodate for subwoofer basket displacement but it still makes makes subs hit ridiculously hard. Polyfill helps make the box seem bigger due to mechanics and the "Q" point. I really couldn't be happier!

Low end beast

I won this sub on SMD as Sonic was doing a give away. Thank you very much Sonic and NVX! I built a 2.75cu custom box tuned to 34hz with 36^2 of port and I am powering it with a Rockford Fosgate P1000X1D which gives it 1000 watts rms at 2ohms.

I am amazed at how loud this single 12 can get in the 30-40hz range. The excursion is impressive. The sound quality is very good. I have quite a bit of experience with other subs and this one is one of the best I've got my hands on. I love the way it blends with the rest of my system while still having enough output to flex my entire car with a thick full deep sound you look for in a sub woofer.

Bass sounds awesome

The subs sound great. Nice deep bass and can handle the current amp I have. I do feel they need more power so i will upgrade amp to something of better quality. But the bass is insane.

Let me say this. WOW. I have 2 vc124. On a hifonics brx2000.1 At one ohm. Break in time was about 16 hours. At one ohm. Just low settings. Now that they r broke in. I set the gains and filters correct. I own a 96 jeep Cherokee. And the whole jeep shakes. I'm afraid I'm about to break my windows. I got them for 149. From sonic when they were on sale. So I got lucky. I love nvx. And from this point on. They r all that I will buy. By buddy has 2 jlw7s. And my system hits as hard as his. Just as good. But he paid almost 700 for each of his subs.

WOW Great Quality

I purchaced your Dual 12" sealed sub enclosure and added two Alpine R's and fosgate 1000w amp and WOW does not even come close, it Rocks. The quality of the box is really really impresive. The carpet in not the junk material I've seen in my other buddies combo's.
When you buy this box you know it will deliver and last a long time.... Sonic, keep up the good work!

If you are looking for a quality made box this is it !! I was very impressed with this box the moment I opened it.

This enclosure is a well built enclosure for sq applications. I purchaced to house 2 CV vmax 122 drivers and the sound quality was almost rubbery? not tinny, never a crackle....fluid almost..... call it a well dampened sound with minimal distortion. just clean bass all the way into the 20s. made sounds i diddnt know existed. if you dont care how your music sounds and just looking for loud, look elsewhere. my only complaint, 11" cutout is too small for the vmax and the black carpet is difficult to follow a line with the router.

Great Sound!

i have 2- 12 inch Memphis audio 15-M3124D's in this box each putting out 2000 watts max hooked up to a MA audio HK10KA amp rated at 10,000 watts max. i have the subs bridged and it has way too much power going to them but the box still stands up. i would recommend that when you install your subs that you put some sort of foam stripping underneath the lip so when you screw it down you wont have and leaks at all.

Sleak, Sexy, Soundiful!

Its cheap, in price. Yeah, we see that. But let your worries go to rest, this is a GREAT BOX. Its well made, and put together great. Although they did use nails instead of screws, if you know what your doing, it won't slow you down. I have 2 12" Kickers in this baby, and pounds like a mofo.

Get this box. You won't be disappointed.

Totally Awwwsome!!!!

We were totally stunned. We managed to fit a transmission line enclosure into a volkswagen golf and stuck one of these brutes in it. WOW! I swear the car is gonig to explode! everyone thinks there are two 15s in there. And hits from the highs to the very lows. Extremely impressive! Cant wait to hear 4 of them.

Great box

Runs 2 Rockford Punchs in and no air leaks and bass is clear as hell. Any 12 would sound great in this box, would buy again if it ever goes bad.

good overall sub

I have 2 of these in a sealed enclosure powered by a hifonics brutus 2200 rms amp. The bass is amazingly tight and they do hit very low register notes. However they still do leave me yearning for more. Ive been an audio enthusiast for 20+ years competing for 5 of them. I decided to throw a budget system together and had great expectations, granted it's the first time using a hifonics amp as well so maybe I'm just not getting the power outta that I'm used to in the past. Anyway for someone starting out I would recommend these subs but for the hard core audio nut like myself if u do give them a shit at least go with an amp that u know will power them decent. Think I may yet try porting the box but don't expect it to make that huge a difference...

These subs are powerful...I have 2 of these wired to 1 Ohm in the back of my Durango and it rattles the top of my SUV like crazy. ... great beefy sub, and will hit just about every low note you can throw at it. ... I love my subs... Don't be afraid to give this brand a try. ...

amazing quality

this sub is outstanding, it doesn't just look totally awesome but it sounds great too. however, the manual recommends a 1.25 cubic foot enclosure, but after making one according to the manual, I think I will try building a bigger box around 1.8 cubic feet

A little trouble at first...

The whole was no the size it said it was. I happen to be a part-time handy man so I had a circular sander and was able to make the whoel bigger. Took about an extra 20 mins of work to mount the subs, but overall everythign worked out. No complaints about box. It is doing it's thing!

Watch out JL and Rockford

I have always loved my Rockford Fosgate amps and woofers, however this guy puts my T1 to shame. The kicker is that it only cost half the price. Sub weighs about 28 pounds! Set this next to a w6 and it is much larger. I would say this is more evenly compared to a w7. Not sure how this sounds in a sealed box but will get low in a large ported box. Neighbors called the cops on me twice.

Amazing subwoofer

I purchase the NVX VCW12 D4 a few months ago. I installed the sub in a slightly larger ported box than what was recommended, and powered it with an AQ 2200d, at 2 ohms, approximately 1400-1600 WRMS, and....this sub gets down! This sub is very well built, attractive looking, and relatively heavy. The sound quality is equally as nice as the SPL. This is a very good subwoofer. You will not be disappointed if you decide to purchase this sub.

good cheap starter box

i bought this box about a year ago for 2 of my infinity reference 1260w subwoofers. I have two more in a ported box. im pushing 350w to all 4 and I have to say I like this box more than the ported. you feel it more in the sealed box but lose a little on the db's but its worth it. the box is sturdy and hasn't showed wear a bit. its tuned in the lower 40's so you wont get stupid low with it but can get loud. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget or to lazy to build their own box. it comes with polyfill which is a bonus, the terminals on the back need calked but that's with about any box you buy. overall I like it and would buy again if I had to.

I bought 2 of these nvx vcw 12s from sonic electronix and I have them being pushed by a rockford fosgate power 1500. And they hit hard. I would say they are about as good as the re audio sxxv2 12 I bought from sonic electronix last year. But they are half the cost. They are a great sub for the price.

Best bang for your buck

Started off with a sealed box at .8 net cubic feet, sound quality was great just not very loud. Also built a slot ported box to specs, 1.25 cubic feet tuned at 25hz, sounded horrible. Called the manufacturer, claims there was a typo in the manual, they recommend 1.75-2.75 cubes, 30-34hz. Built a new slot ported box at 1.9 at 34hz and wow what a difference. Loudness and sound quality is comparable to a w7. Very impressed with this woofer!

Installed this weekend, I did add a couple pounds of "pillow stuffing" since the box was a tad smaller then what I needed. I have noticed some flex already but im not suprised with the subs that are in it. I will add triangle shaped gussets and some "trim screw" to try and hold things together.

A sheet of real MDF (not the cheap underlayment) is $32, carpet and glue around $15 so for what they want for this its a good deal that just needs some minor tweaks.

Insane SPL

I purchased two of the NVX VCW 124's to replace my Audiopipe TXX-BD2-12's. I have them in vented 2.25cu ft per chamber tunes at 38 hz wired in a 1 ohm load on a Soundstream DTR1.900.D so I'm pushing 900w rms. These things xmax at 20mm so the SPL and vibration is insane. These subs have impressed my friends and has me loving every minute of every song. One thing I have noticed is they aren't quite as loud as the Audiopipes but with the SPL gaining like it has it's really not noticeable until a dB meter is pulled out. With the Audiopipes the dBA meters average was 118. I am hiting a solid 116dB's in my front seats according to a cheap hand held dBA meter. I would recommend these subs to any enthusiast that wants high rms availability for an excellent price and unbeatable sound. NVX is a quality product that can take the abuse, maintains accurate linear drives, and hands down destroys most other subs in this category.

Not much else to say besides great product. Shipped in only 3 days, and the pre-done polyfill is a great touch. My only comlaint would be that my car smelled like glue for a few days after I put this box in, but that's just nit-picking. Will definitely order boxes from Sonic in the future!

Sub Enclosure Review

Perfect size to fit my Infinity subs. Wish it came with mounting feet but can't ask for everything. Quality is legit for the price. Just your average rectangular box. Fit in the trunk of my 240sx which is pretty small.

GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!

This box looked great and felt very durable. My subwoofers wouldnt fit at first so I had to do some shaving, NO PROB. It sounded good for awhile and I loved it. After about two weeks, it lost its sound, went to check out the problem the whole front of the box had almost came off, Box was sealed very well, too bad they used nails instead of screws, would have been a very good box.

This box is pretty clean...nice black fabric, enough to hold the subs and gives them enough air to makes the subs bump and bump and bump and bump! Good buy at an unbeatable price. Awesome.

Great box

This is a great box. I prefer ported but my trunk is too small for it so I had to go with sealed. I'm still happy though. This had the perfect size for my 12s. Also the measurements are a little off. The box is a little bigger that the description said.

Great Subwoofers

This is a great sub woofer box for the price it is heavy 41 pounds and it is sturdy. I have 2 12 kickers 600 rms 1500 peak and they sound great in this box hits lows and highs hard. I would say to any one buy it.

Okay Box

had to trim the 12" hole for my Sound stream PCO.12 subs they wouldn't fit at all. once I trimmed the MDF I love this box. they could have used spring term instead of screw though.

My nephew loved this product along with the Autotik amp and Kenwood subs for Christmas. I even upgraded my old amp with a 4000 watt PZX Crunch amp to keep up with my nephew and his system lol

nice & clean

I replaced my old box with this 1 & man what a difference. My old box was 11 years old & I didn't realize it was falling apart & with this new box I noticed an instant difference. Its a great box for the price, it holds firm & can handle the full pressure of 1100 RMS

I did have to spray a little adhesive inside for 1 part of the foam & terminals were screwed in & not exactly straight & I also had to poke holes in the foam for wires but these things are no problem. The box is awesome & I will by more in the future

I purchased two of these for my living room set up. Each one has it's own amp pushind 1000 watts rms. They are not only loud but their sound quality is phenomenal. I could not be happier. My neighbors could be. Last friday my living room was audible 2 blocks away... ha ha. The only question left is longevity.

It's tough to build a box for the price you can buy one of these. They are solid. I haven't had any issues with mine.

best box 4 the buck

Don't let the skimpy price fool you. This box is made very well and it's ready to go. The joints are already caulked and glued - so there is nothing more to do than mount you speaker.

It's not MDF(medium density fiberboard) like all the others, it is made from HDF; high density fiberboard. HDF boxes are typically stronger, stiffer, and lighter than MDF enclosures. The box does not require any additional bracing because of its density. It has a high an undetectable high frequency resonance and doesn't color the sound of your bass with unwanted buzzing or flexing. The HDF box is lighter than MDF because it has smaller fibers that when pressed and heated require less glue and resin to bind the fibers together.

The speaker terminals are screw type gold plated binding posts that will hold 12 g speaker wire easily. They screw into the enclosure for added strength and a tighter seal.

Just make sure that you do your math and pick the right sub for the cubic feet and stuff with poly fiber fill.

More than worth the money

My wife loves this sub. Build a slot ported box and put a solid 1000 watts on it and bam. Hit a 140.5db on her first attempt at spl. Next month will be purchasing her another one so we can get the max from amp at 1 ohms. Highly recommended.

Insanely well built box.

Carpet job is top notch, Good quality carpet stretched perfectly over the box. All joints are glued and caulked well. theres no need for extra bracing here but you may add some 2x4's to reduce the airspace if needed. The gold push terminals are well sealed in place.

Hits low and hard with all sub's I've thrown at it (JL Audio 12W04's, Rockford Fosgate P312D4's, Kicker CVX12's and finally Alpine SWX-1242D's)

Don't be afraid of the price. It's a perfect price for a box of this caliber. Would recommend it to anyone.

Tuff Stuff

Nice heavy, good sounding box. I would reccomend putting some polyfil to "cushion" the backfire of the subwoofer, really helps w/any sealed box and totally makes a valuable difference considering it only costs about 5-10$ more. The box itself is well sealed and well made, the connectors on the inside and out are really easy to use and once connected your wires will stay put.

These NVX subs (D4) in my own opinion are some of the best subs for $200 for sale in the whole world. There are many subs in the whole world but these guys are absolute BISSTSSSS!!!! (BEASTS). I have 2 HIfonics BRX20001.d amps strapped running them at 1400 watts rms a piece. They gobble 1400 watts up like your embarrassingly obese uncle "Larry" at Thanksgiving. Everyone knows Larry is that family member that takes all the dark meat turkey and leaves you with the dried out white meat you have to chug with milk to swallow. NVX MONSTERS!!!

I was in the market to operate it for my 10 inch pioneer champion 2 12 inch subwoofers, after doing quite a bit of research I was considering the Sundown Audio SA-12 series, DD Level 3 series and a couple of other brands. Then, I stumbled upon these guys. if you actually read the specs on these guys and look at the weight of the magnet, the fact that they have a 3 inch coil and a couple other beastmode specs you will quickly realize these guys are made to handle some serious juice. I am running two Hifonics BRX 2001. D strapped together at 2 ohms running 2800 watts RMS. These Subs gobble up around 12 to 1400 watts RMS without hesitating! With just two twelves in the back of my rodeo I can be heard in eastern Canada, I got a call from the local police department in Washington State and they wanted to issue me a citation for noise pollution. These two twelves create earthquakes on the other side of the world. I wish I knew what the max power rating was for these guys because they say that RMS is 850 to 1000 watts. when people see the full X on my car they asked me if I have two fifteens or 8 tens or 600 8 inch woofers running 3 million watts at negative 1 ohm. These guys are extremely underrated and the other day I was riding down a gravel road and Sasquatch came out, started running at my car throwing rocks at me and I put on some decaf bass and he ran into the woods scared like a six year old girl. Oh yeah, and these magnets are a hundred ninety five ounces, that's right baby these things have big time magnets. These guys are heavier than your ex girlfriend who has a problem with Twinkies.

I've got 2 of these running at 2 ohm and all they do is pound bass is deep and clean and can hear me coming from blocks away. Rattled pics of the walls in my house and shook the windows, car does nothing but flex also. Would definitely buy more of these and recommend them to anyone looking for a good clean hard hitting sub. Thinking about buying one more for my car.

Great box. Quality carpet job, all seams sealed correctly and well, and the terminals are strong and functional. Perfect basic box to make two twelve's hit perfectly. Just remember this is a sealed box, so it will have a differnet sound than that of a ported or bandpass box, but if u want a tighter hitting bass, this box if perfect.

Fantastic Sub Box

A very well-built and nicely carpeted sub box, that looks great, and should prove to be very durable, as it is constructed with 3/4" MDF instead of thinner material of many other boxes costing more than this.

The black carpet makes more of an impact than the typical gray carpet, and the 5-way binding posts are much higher quality than the typical plastic spring connections normally found on sub boxes.

Very happy with this purchase, and would absolutely consider another should it fit my needs of enclosure volume. (It's not worth the extra time/effort to make a custom box, when this does the job just as well, and comes pre-lined with poly-filled and pre-carpeted)

I bought 2 but only have one hooked up now to a kicker ix1000.1 (1114watts true) and it hits harder and sounds 10x better than my kicker l7d215. I can actually make my wipers bounce with just one. Build quality is outstanding. The rubber on the front is very very very easy to tear. I slipped with a screwdriver and sliced about a 2 inch hole in it. Hence why I only have one hooked up.

This is a very well constructed box, well sealed and solid. However, mine arrived new in the box and every corner had the carpet worn off and bare wood showing. Also, mine was not lined with poly-fil and the terminal cups were on the sides rather than in the back as it appears in photos- no biggy but that did influence my decision as my install would have been a little "cleaner". Outstanding subs NVX for the win

I have the VCW 10 dual 4s in a .75 sealed (each chamber) under seat box in a 98 dodge ram. They're realistically seeing about .72 cu ft with 3/4 lb pollyfill.i do have them paired with the JAD1200.1 its a perfect match. I had a soundqubed HDS3-12 in a custom ported box and it was a lil louder and more efficient on half the powerkuz of the box. But the VCWs are almost as loud but with excellent Sound Quality. Tight punchy bass but still loud n low while keeping SQ cranked all the way up no clipping, no bottoming out, no distortion just awesome subs n amp . Ive been bumping these a few months now n I did two back to back 5 hour trips pounding none stop and the subs and amp never gave me one problem even in the 110+ degree heat of Phoenix AZ. The amp did get hot but never gave a problem. The bass knob does work its just sensitive. Its not like the knobs most people are used to. I will recommend these subs and brand and rate 6 stars outa 5.

Aft first I though maybe the amp wasn't strong enough.... But then I kept jabbing to turn the grain down as the sub started to hot louder and harder as it brokein. Now hitting better than the 2x 12inch sounds i replaced.. In comparison, the 2x 12 was louder but this nvx is a perfect balance between loudness and accurate bass

Be ready to supply a lot of power and apologize to your neighbors cuz these subs are beasts. Right now I have two of these running at 2ohms on two 600 watt JBL power series amps and three batteries. After my new alternator arrives I will be dropping in two 1200 watt mono blocks. Even at 600 watts these NVXs are hitting harder than any other 12” sub in this price range, that I have heard in my 20 years of being a bass head.

these are monsters!

I got two of these to replace my p3s I was aiming for an upgrade and these over shot my goal,I've got them hooked to a brx1100.1 at 1ohm and these beast pound the concrete and are power hungr, I had concrete poured into the floor of my trunk to stop the rattles the flex from these actually seperated concrete from Metal,you can feel the hits in your whole body,my girls hair moves when I'm on decaf over-all I'm very impressed with these they are amazing on decaf and bass heavy songs they keep up with every pitch change they do however over power rock but that's not anything that can't be fixed by turning it down on a bass control knob,the only true complaint I have on these is I wish the push terminals were bigger I'm using o.s. 10gauge for speaker wire and it was a huge pain to get them wired up other than that these are amazing I would buy them again and again and again and would recommend to anyone looking for a killer sub that doesn't break the bank,give these a try you won't be sorry you chose NVX

Best I've had in a fox acoustic ram box

I've had two sundown's, a c2 audio and an American bass 12 in a fox acoustic ram sub box. This nvx is the loudest and clearest out of all of them. Out of this world bass.

I've honestly never reviewed anything Ive ever bought in my life, but NVX and Sonic surely deserve it. My previous kicker set up cost me about $2,500 and it was worth every penny, but a malfunction blew them both and I had to search for something new. I was skeptical about NVX cause its not a big brand but I took the risk because of these very reviews and i was not disappointed. Running 2 on a 1200w kicker amp at low levels they blew 2 of my fuses in a row which my old ones never did. These babies do not distort or stop. They just get louder and louder. By far the best ive ever owned and i will never stray from nvx again in my life. You wont be disappointed. I promise. I had two of these subs on a audiopipe acpl 1800 mono at 1 ohm for about a month in half before the amp went out. So I'm ordering the NVX amp to match the subs now. All being said the subs hit very hard and sounded good the subs broke two different pre fab ported boxes I had to put nails and screws in the box to keep it from falling apart that's how hard they hit. Subs literally knocked the back wall of my 2 12 ported B box loose after a weekend of playing the subs in the box. So beware these subs on a good amount of power I suggest a custom built box

If youre doubting these cuz you don't know anyone with them, that's a good thing, you can show off to ppl who don't know jack about them. They pound for starters. like absolutely blew my mind how hard they hit. could not be happier w this selection. I bought a JAD1200.1 amp to power 2 of these. I have the wiring set up parallel to run a 1-Ohm load. It is far more superior to any of my friends systems who have more wattage, and "better subs." HA
my friend has some JLw6's and these are way better. Hits harder and lower and the sustain is incredible. the Xmax of 20mm is perfect. just enough.

Pros: I really think these r better than even the alpine TypeX I used to have(1000watts rms/3000 watts max) I'm not too keen on the H.A.M.R. surround on the alpine products. These subs are heavy duty, the frame is solid, the weight of these badboys will denounce any competitive subs of equal value. BEST BOOM FOR UR BUCK, and these subs are sooo sexy looking

cons: Only thing I had a discrepancy about these was the run off of glue in random spots, but that's fine with me. still looks dope asf. and these subs run slightly bigger than ur average equal size subs. but to me that's a pro, oversized equals more sub. more sub equals more boom.

The NVX is well constructed from the cone, to the voice coils, and down to the magnets. Sounds decent so far, but still in its warm up phase. We will see what happens. Accepts 8awg wire and possibly bigger but haven't tried yet. So far I recommend this product.

This was already the best deal for a 3/4" MDF dual enclosure I could find, everything else in this range is 5/8".

For the price I wasn't expecting much.
However When it arrived found it is of good build quality, with decent carpet.

They already lined the inside with polyfil, more added value.

Then to top it off, found it has really nice gold plated screw type wire terminals. Better connection and added peace of mind that connections will not come undone.

This is probably the best deal/value on the internet for a dual 12 enclosure. Probably why it's backordered at time of this review.

Violent output with excellent transient response

Ive been into serious car audio since around 1992 . Ive had several, several full tilt systems in my vehicles over the years and I purchased two of these to put into my suburban. I bought them after several months of research based on price and reputation basically. I have a Zapco st1650-xm II on each one wired at 2 ohm a piece resulting in around 1100 or so real world Zapco watts to each one. Let me tell you, these things get absolutely violent in the SPL department, they are ripping my subarban apart, seriously...on top of the above average SPL they are outstanding in the SQ department and easily sound good enough to satisfy anyone looking for good sound quality. So far they have exceeded my expectations for both SPL and SQ, and for 200.00 bucks they are going to be hard to beat. Awesome value. I have them in 2.4 net per sub with 16 sqin port per sub tuned to 33hz and it sounds amazing and flexes the shit out of my Suburban.

Great bang for the buck

Right now I'm powering two of these babies with a hifonics brx 2000.1d and they slam with my prebuilt belva box. These subs are amazing with 1000watts to each sub but they can take alot more. I would highly recommend these subs. They are built really good and they flex like crazy.

Love these subs!!

I have 2 of these in a 3.75 net cubes box tuned @ 34 HZ powered a PPI BA 2600.1D and now a Hifonics BRX 2000.1D. They hit pretty good on the PPI but the Hifonics has really brought them to life. In the box they are seeing about 1200-1250w total and I have only gotten them warm once, and only because I was trying to. Planning on giving them more power soon to see what they can handle will update when I do.

Best subs for the price

Just purchased 2 VCW 12’s 4ohm and the Belva sealed box wanted to hear what they would sound like in that box over a ported one. I was very surprised how good they sound in this enclosure the bass is so tight and my trunk doesn’t rattle nearly as much as a ported box would but the quality of bass is loud and crystal clear and hits every bass notes that my ported box could not do. I had a 15 VCW and loved that one but it wouldn’t work with the space in my new car so i decided on the 12 inch and I believe now this sun will be the only subs I will buy from now on. I’m running these on the new X Series 2000rms amp and I just love these 2 together perfect combinations give these a try you will love the bass output

Exceeded expectations

I've been using earthquake subs since 1992 but it seems their quality isn't what the use to be. I needed a sub that could handle power and not break my back. I liked the power handling and price, so I gave this a chance. It works great, so far hit really good and build quality appears to be good, better then you'd expect for the price. I've been using L7's in my cars for the past decade. When a set of my L7's finally broke down I wanted to try something different. I read as many reviews as I could when trying to decide on what to buy. NVX came highly reviewed and I was pleasantly suprised by them. They seem to have a quality build and are priced very reasonable. I had a custom ported enclosure built for my two 12s. I am happy and find these subs to be of goof value. They play low and get decently loud. My 12's are ran on a Skar Audio rp 2000.1d. You will not regret your purchase. I will be letting these subs break before I fully push them and I hope to get a few good years out of them.

I purchased two vcw124 speakers over 3 years ago. I didn't want to post a review too soon before I knew the longevity of these speakers, mainly because I had never heard of the brand name before. I built a custom 3.4cu ft 34hz ported box. Have them hooked up at 1ohm with 1000 watts rms a piece, never even broke them in at a lower wattage. These speakers are still pounding away,and I mean POUNDING, just like new, 3 years later. I would highly recommend these to anyone. These can be heard from blocks away and everyone in your neighborhood will definitely give you dirty looks. Great, well built product, well done NVX.

I have the 12" dual 4-ohm VCW in a 0.75 sealed box. Stuffed with polyfill to help with the low end in a tight space. This sub sounds so deep, low, clean. Really amazing, wish I has purchased it long ago. 12W3v3 are $100 more and garbage comparable to the VCW.

My first sub purchase over $80. Fantastic sound reproduction. Eats the wattage spews out the lows. This sub is ideal for spl and 80hz and below. Put it in a potred box built to spec or close and you will be rewarded. I only have 1 and it's more than enough. The sub is built to a high standard. Also, it's a bit heavy. NVX has a winner here. For those on a budget, NVX's low line will be your best bet. But when you upgrade, this is the way to go. I reccomend highly.

I have literally zero complaints about these subs. I have 2 of then dual 4 ohm voice coil VCWv3s on a CT Sounds AT2300 1v2 and they sound incredible!!!! They say everything happens for a reason, and they were right. My other subs had unloaded on me while playing YouTube. A commercial came on and the volume was already high, then the volume not being regulated had pushed the cones over the pole. Scared the crap out of me. As I just recently started listening to it and obviously not knowing that the volume would fluctuate that much. So I have been wanting these VCW for a while now and after installing it inverted today due to box size I couldn't believe my ears. Just amazing. I have another one coming as well. Now I'm making a nice ported enclosure for them. Then I'll put a video up. I can't say enough about this line of subwoofers especially for the money. You won't do better than these subs unless you want to spend a lot more money for no reason. I can't imagine what the 15s would sound like. These subs hit very low and very hard. Adjusted correctly, they are amazingly great SQL subs. I have two VCW124v3s wired to 1 ohm in a 4 cu ft ported box, tuned to 32 Hz. Eq boosted at 25 Hz and no bass gain on a 2500 watt RMS amp. They eat it and ask for more. I have been a sealed box guy for many years, but these 12s in a ported box are so responsive and clean, you would think they were in a sealed box. You can't go wrong with NVX, at least with these subs. I just wish I had more room in my car to add another pair. Don't think about it, just do it.

Big Boom for a Small Price

Whenever someone asks me for subwoofer recommendations, I always point them towards NVX's DVC subwoofers. I have one of these bad boys paired up with an NVX amplifier and I am nothing but impressed.
