It's exactly what you need for your car amp installation. I bought this kit with Kenwood KAC-1502S amp for 75 bucks. Good deal from Sonic Electronix.

Great kit for the cost

Very nice kit for $18.
Wire seems adequately thick. Good quality fuse (not AGU) and fuse holder. RCA's feel durable. Decent assortment of accessories. All together a solid budget kit IMO.

Don't know what the other guy is talking about.

This kit was awesome and included with my package that I bought. In comparison to others for the same price, there is simply not a comparison and the other review is just wrong on so many levels I felt compelled to write this.

The reality is there are a lot of real shoddy amp kits and wire as a whole being used in car audio in terms of cheap amp kits that have over-insulating wires and fake gauge ratings, huge amounts of aluminum, lousy RCA cables, fuse holders and other accessories. BUT and a BIG BUT, this kit excels in those areas where others fall flat on their face. I have bought a few inexpensive 8 gauge kits in my day and XScorpion, Raptor, Install Bay and others haven't even given me the 8 gauge of wire that I paid for, and in some cases gave me wire that heated up to a dangerous level due to the actual make up of the wire.

I also literally laughed when I see that the other reviewer was intending to use spade terminals to connect his amp power and ground wire... It is for the SPEAKER wire knucklehead :-). I am an installer and the smaller accessories work just fine when you use them correctly. Most amps will still work with them when used with the speaker wire. Of course one can be used for the remote wire connection to the amp and the other end with the butt connector being used to connect to the stereo. The funny thing is, if you do not need them, who cares? It is like ordering this kit for a compact car or single cab pickup. You will not use all of the power wire for these applications, so do you complain that the manufacturer gave you extra wire? That just made me laugh.

Now, onto the other accessories. The AFS fuse and holder that are included are so far superior to others in this price range and the amount of copper (albeit CCA) is much better than others in the price range. Lastly, the RCAs included are awesome for the price. I cannot find ANYTHING to complain about here for $21.99.

All in all, you will not get a better value for the money.

Good product for the price

Good wiring package, good quality fuse holder and wires, I would like more connectors on it and maybe some tube for the power wire, but overall is a good kit.

Good Purchase

I used this kit to install a 2 channel Boss amp. The quality of the pieces in this kit is five stars, but I'm giving it 4 because it is my belief that to do a clean install you need (4) 8 gauge terminals (one at the batt, one at the amp, one at ground, one at the amp), not just two. I had to spend an extra six bucks at Orchard for the extra terminals, but since the cost of the kit here at Sonic was only $20 at the time, it was still a good deal.

Good kit

Good kit for basic setups. Using it right now in my mothers system powering a simple 12. Could handle more if needed.

What can I say? It's a good box, and spec for the subs I got. Good price, good build, and the sound is heavenly. For someone like me (ie, not a carpenter, not even close) this is a good choice. I'm not a fan of banana clips but they are prevalent, so there you go. It's ready to go.

For what its worth, I would recommend this box if it suits your woofer specs. I loaded it with two JBL CS1014's, I now have some clean bump in my trunk.

Good prefab box

Good quality for a prefab box. I wish they would have skipped the connectors so I could have just drilled my own but other than that solid and exactly as advertised. Great quick way to get your system in your car.

I've seen a lot of good reviews in customer service for sonic, so I took a look at there site n was blown out of the water with all the variety of high quality stuff and at a great price so I looked for a box n got this one. It's not super huge so I have some space in my trunk to utilize for groceries lol. Plenty of room for the subs hits extremely nice live that it is poly filled. This wiring kit is very good quality. Although this was my first subwoofer install, I consider myself an expert when it come any kind of stereo hookup. This kit comes with everything you will need for a professional install. I installed a MTX self contained in the rear of my 1999 Explorer Sport. This kit made eazy.

Exactly what you need

Comes with everything you need, literally. Ring terminals are good quality, insulation is very good quality on the wires, fuse is good quality, currently connected 2x 600 watt Pioneer 6x9 speakers to a 450 watt amp (250RMS) with this wiring kit. Plenty of length to get from the battery to the back of my car. For 21$ this is a steal! Does its job, does it well. Highly recommend this, you won't beat this price for everything you get.

get's the job done

This amp wiring kit did the job. Fortunately there was just enough wire to make it from the trunk to the battery in our honda civic sedan. A larger vehicle may have been a problem. The kit came with almost everything I need to install a self powered subwoofer/ amp.

Cheap - And it is

The wire is fine, the RCA cables are fine, but the terminals they give you are worthless, not enough of the 8GA size for both ends of the wire, and there are a bunch of small ones that werent even needed.

Excellent product for the price

I'm not running a sub or crazy rms wattage. This kit is more than adequate for my set up. 60 watt rms fronts and 80 watt rms rear speakers. The amp is 75watt rms X4. I would definitely buy this kit again for any similar set up. Plenty of length for all wires except the ground. If you are mounting the amp to the back of your rear seat and it folds down, make sure the ground is connected as close as possible the seat. Other wise the wire will prevent the seat from going all the way down. Wasn't paying attention to this. Bent the ground terminal on the amp when I folded the seat down and it hung up on the ground wire.

This wiring kit was included for free with my Kenwood KAC-1502S amp that I use bridged to drive my Pioneer TS-SWX251 sub. It is a decent kit. The speaker/power wires are copper-coated aluminum which is just so-so. But it does include everything I needed to wire up my amp (fuse kit, zip ties, wire terminals, etc) and it works totally fine and I doubt I'll ever have a problem with it. So while theorhetically the wires could be higher quality, practically speaking I doubt I could ever tell.

Great wires a pain to cut

The length of all the wires was perfect for my VW gti to set up an amp. However they are a pain to cute and strip. The rubber coating is very stretchy. But they work great. I do recommend these for the price. The connectors for the ground and power wire are crap. They do not like to stay though. Once you get it then they are good.

Good enough

Overall, this is a decent enough kit for an amp install. Fairly run-of-the-mill kit - my main gripe is that some of the prong connectors are incorrectly sized (amp connection for ground and power wire), but all other connectors are good. Zip-ties are garbage, but that's pretty much expected as well.

A different usage ----

I was looking for a small enclosure to use for a bass guitar speaker cabinet. I installed (2) Eminence Delta 10 inch speakers, and installed plastic stacking corners. I also removed the plastic jack plate and replaced it with a rear port tube. The cabinet sounds GREAT ! The cabinet is constructed well, but the packaging leaves a bit to be desired. The cabinet arrived with damage to 2 of the corners, but the damage was covered by the plastic corners I installed. A slight variation from its intended usage, but the outcome was good !

Good box for the price!

I ordered this box a few weeks ago and I have to say for the price the box is a great buy. You will need to re-seal / re-caulk all in the seams and speaker terminals on the inside of each chamber to get a tight seal, but this is normal with most prefab boxes you buy. I have had to seal every prefab box regardless if they say it has been sealed or not due to the fact that prefabs 95% of the time are never sealed on the front baffel / base board were the subs are mounted. Seal the box nice and neat with some silicone / caulk and throw in some fiberfill and you are good to go. Great box for the price and can't beat it.

This kit seemed to me to be a good value kit. I felt that the connectors and one of the cables was of a cheaper grade than what I would prefer. But I feel that it was priced accordingly. The product met my needs, except for me using a better quality crimp-on connectors.

Nice dual sub box for the price.

The box is well constructed and the wire terminals seem to be decent enough and the interior of the box comes coated with poly-fill. It fits easily into the trunk of my Oldsmobile Alero and offers all the sound I need. I currently have 2 Rockford Fosgate R2D2-10 subs installed in it, running at 2 ohms and 250 watts a piece.

Good sounding box

I bought this for my wife's car to house 2 10s. Unfortunately I looked at the wrong sub specs. This box is 20% too small but the subs absolutely shake and get super loud. Even with the rear seat up I still feel the pressure in my ears. Great deal for a prefab box. We get great sq out of the subs too. Not just loud.

Recommended for a decent cheaper box. Tuned really low with my titanium t1000's. I had to drill notches in the mounting holes for my subwoofer cooling fins. Wood on the mounting side crumbled a little. Not a lot of punch but definitly gets loud when the bass is low.

F150 Supercrew

I was looking to put some bass into the sound system I was building for the truck. As I have gotten older I was wanting a good SQ set up. I chose this sub for its value, wattage handling, & the dvc. I built the box and got it powered using a channel amp and it has delivered. I cannot comment on the durability as I have only had it a month but so far so good.

Good Entry Level Sub

I always build my boxes myself never buy prefabs. I built a box sealed at .8 and the sub sounded really well for $50. Rockford did a good job with this one. Definitely fills up a 1998 mustang. I just ran one and it's lasted well for two years now run on a 200 watt amp. I would buy again if on a budget.

Decent kit

This is a decent kit for a budget stereo system. Only one issue though, I was hooking this up in a Ford expedition and wires were too short to put the amp were I wanted it. Will pay more attention to wire length next time.

nice loud sub

I have one of these in a custom ported box tuned at 40hz powered by a boss 1100 watt amp. Im giving it 250w rms and it sounds great at lower volumes. When I really crank it up I can hear it outside the truck and it rattles body panels, but it dont have as nice sound quality at higher volumes. Overall its a good sub and the price is great.

My brother bought me this sub for my birthday, he has dual 12 inch hifonics running 800 watts a piece. My single 10 inch can keep up with his dual 12's if you are looking for good reliable bass I would say that the r2d4 is your best bet.

This sub hits hard, has some shake to it, and is very clean deep sounding.. Its absolutely amazing for the price.. Rockford fostgate did it again.

This wiring kit is good enough for the basics if you don't want to spend more money or chase around assembling the wires you need for a basic system hookup.

Good Value

This sub sounds great. After roughly 15-20 hours of break in time it really starts to shine. It's in the back of my crew cab Tundra in a passive box tuned to 34 Hz with a Dayton Audio 10" passive radiator. It's feeding off of a RF 300.1 and after breaking it in it keeps up with the amps power. I have bottomed it out before during a torture test but the voicecoil definitely handled every bit. The duel voicecoil is nice too for extra wiring options.

Well Built, As Advertised

This kit was included with a MTX package that I ordered. It was as described and is a well made wiring kit. Installation was quite easy and delivers adequate power to my system with proper grounding.

My only complain, I drive a 1997 Buick Park Avenue, and the 17' of cable for the power line wasn't nearly long enough for my installation. As my amplifier is currently mounted in my trunk due to limited options for locating it elsewhere, I had to go to a local electronics store and purchase another length of 8ga wire, an in line fuse block to splice the connection, as well as an additional fuse to ensure the line is properly protected.

For those of you will small cars, or who chose to mount the amplifier somewhere in the cab of the vehicle, this will be more than adequate. For those with larger cars, or luxury vehicles who are mounting their amplifier on the box or in their trunk, be advised you will need more power cable.

Yes. Get it. Just put 2 of these in my 2011 Camaro, and now my rearview mirrow is always looking at my feet. Got it in a custom-sealed box hooked up to a mono class D 2000 Watt Power Acoustik (pushes half of what it says) so it worked out perfectly. Slaps harder than I expected, and is a little strong for my stock speakers, so I can't wait to upgrade those too. GREAT BUY! Extremely impressed.

I bought a bundle that included these cables (1kw) along with an amp (1.5kw) and 2 subs (1.3kw). Didn't make sense to include these cables, since their recommended throughput is much lower than the other components, so I never used them. They look nice, though.

Good deal for the price!

Kit has what it says. Most of the wires are of good quality, but the remote wire could have been a tad thicker. It broke every time I tried to attach it to anything. I ended up using some leftover speaker wire to complete the job. Overall though, you can't beat the value.

2nd Kit I have Purchased, Still Can't Find a Better Deal

I had a 500 Watt amp and sub installed in my old car, and sold it with most of the wiring in it for the new owner.
I installed a new 500 watt amp in my new car with a new sub, and bought this same wiring kit as I still could not find a better deal anywhere else.
It's a simple kit, has everything you need, and makes installation of an amp/sub a breeze. Tonnes of wire length, I still have lots leftover thanks to a trunk-mounted battery. My previous car had a battery in the hood, and this kit still have plenty of length.
The RCA's are very nice, and all insulation is great quality especially for the power/ground. Ring terminals are easy to crimp, and were the perfect size for my battery terminals/main grounding junction.

More Than Enough Power!!!

I purchased the Rockford Fosgate R2D4-10 because of the Positive reviews and because It was a perfect match for my Rockford Fosgate R250-1D amp. I had (1) of these subs installed in my Ford Explorer using the 8 Gauge Rockford Fosgate RFK8I kit. Also bought the Belva 10" .77cuft sealed box from Sonic. Let me tell you that I really couldnt be more pleased with my system. Sound Quality is excellent. And this combo really BOOMS and HITS HARD!! I wanted something simple and not too overpowering. I really got more than I was expecting. Sonic Electronix provided supurb FAST service. I live on the east coast and ordered Sunday night, recieved Thursday and had everything hooked up Friday morning. I couldn't be any more happy with my purchase. Big sound in a little package.

Rockford never ceases to amaze! I picked up 2 of these for the system in my CRX, wired in a series at 2ohms with my amp pushing 300w rms to each channel... WOW. I never expected to get such a clean, tight kick out of a tier 1 sixty or so dollar subwoofer. Whatever your genre is, this little beast will surpass your expectations when tuned correctly. The perfect solution for someone on a budget, I highly recommend it!

Decent, but not outstanding

I bought one of these subs to replace a 10-inch Eclipse 8010 that gave up on me. The Fosgate doesn't hit even half as hard as my Eclipse, and it doesn't hit the deep lows hardly at all. It hits just enough so that I know I have a woofer back there, AND just enough to keep me satisfied until I can get a sub that really hits. If you have been riding around in your car listening to a couple of 5-inch, 3-way speakers and this is your first sub, then it will probably sound great to you. Keep in mind I was spoiled by my previous sub. It truly is a "get what you pay for" game when it comes to car audio.

Coming from Kicker Comp 8s to these in my Toyota pickup definitely is quite a difference. Put each one in a .58 cu. ft. sealed box behind my seat, and they kick HARD. And I'm someone that doesn't really like to crank it up and pound them to their limit. I decided to port one at 43Hz since that's what Rockford recommends. It puts out way more bass but I think I need to tune it lower since they have some trouble with lower notes that my 8s would pick up. Overall, Rockford is now my go-to stereo brand instead of Kicker. The quality of sound is much better.

nothing special

They are OK subs. I bought 4 on sale for grins and giggles. They are no where the Sq or spl of my 2 12" alpine type r's. Of curse the 2 alpines cost me more than the 4 of these. Running a kicker cx1200.1 so I am getting 300w rms rated to each sub. I am non plussed and I paid 28 a piece.

This sub impressed me quite a bit. I listen to all kinds of music, and this sub has handled what I threw at it. It's really clean, clear, and crisp. I was going to buy a P110S4, but this sub is a lot like it. The looks are a bit different, but the power ratings, and the fact that its a DVC, is what I like. I have it on a RFP200-2 amp bridged mono to 4ohms. It's all ran from an RF 4g amp kit. 5 stars.

Amp kit

I have bought different amp kits from other brands and wasn't satisfied with there products because of certain things.1 was price and 2 was the power amp wire where the fuse goes. The plastic part where the amp goes was crap and fell apart over time. I like the sonics amp kit because of both awesome quality wire amp the red power amp wire was awesome quality as well. The box was super clean all the way around. Solid. True 3/4. My 2 JL 10w3's are sounding quick and hitting hard. I like them. For The Price Can't be Beat

I set out to build a budget system that bumps. After completing my install and firing everything up this box is a great quality for the money. It's not going to blow the doors of more expensive or custom made enclosures but damn this one is great pre-made alternative. Only complaint was it shows wire being attached to the terminals however mine did not have that. Not a huge deal but for someone looking for that may be an issue.

Pleasantly surprised

I'll be honest, although I've owned Rockford products in the past, I didn't have very high expectations for this sub however, I was pleasantly surprised. The speaker produces rich, deep bass without needing too much power. I have this powered by a Kicker DX250.1 amplifier and the sub is in a vented box. The amp is not even up 1/4 of the way and it hits harder than some high end subs that I've heard and have owned. I highly recommend this for anyone that's not looking to spend much and wants great sound. Shipping was fast and free.

Perfect sized sealed box made very solid and mine handles 2 - 10" Pyle Blue Wave DVC's wired to 1 ohm. A Rockford 750 mono 1 ohm stable amp handles the 500 RMS and 1000 peak watt speakers and the box and it's construction and size make it beyond awesome and perfectly compliments the entire system. Great buy. Highly recommended.

This kit is much nicer than most in its price range. Even though the wire is CCA, it looks to be full 8 gauge. The fuse holder and RCAs look to be of decent quality, and the separate remote wire and extra speaker wire are nice.

These subs are amazing, they are built really well, have extremely good sound, and I have absolutely no complaints. I have 2 of these in my 2005 Silverado and they hit like 12s with a 1000 watt pyramid amp. You could not find a better deal anywhere on subs as great as these. I personally recommend these to anyone out there looking for a nice system!

Great bang for the buck

A pair of these went under the back seat of an Avalanche. Space was at a premium forcing the need of a shallow mount speaker. The sealed box matched the volume required for these speakers. We wired the dual voice coils in a combination parallel and series to achieve 4ohms with a bridged Pioneer 1000w amp (420 RMS). Sound is very deep and full but not overly boomy. Very pleased!

Both subs are blown and cracking and it hasn’t even been a month since I bought them.. very disappointed in these subs..

Rockford Fosgate Sub Woofers

Hopping in a car with Rockford Fosgates installed is a different world. One may not know what Rockford Fosgate sub woofers are but they are pretty self explanatory. They produce a lot of bass which some people can not handle, but I can. Out of all the subs I have installed in my car, these are definitely the best speakers. From what I have learned from having these speakers, they give great bass, can unconnect very easy with just a screw driver, and the best part when you are blasting music the whole neighborhood can hear you even with the windows up.
First thing you look for is the quality and the better they are the more expensive. But when I was looking I wanted to have it where my bass is overpowering, the sound. Any song is good with the right amount of bass. These speakers are meant to be loud so its hard to blow them out. When you have the right set up, doesn't matter who is in the car anyone will like them because you can turn the base all the way up and all the way down. No one can compare speakers with me because Rockford Fostgates are the best. JBL speakers are not the best and I returned them after I had them for a week.

The initialization with Rockford Fostgate speakers are very easy. You just need a screw driver and a brain to unscrew a couple screws. My other subs require other tools to take them out of the box and it was just a pain. When having good speakers it should be easy to install because your paying a lot for something that gives off sound. Its the best to have my speakers turned up loud enough so that people can feel the base as I drive by theirs houses. I share a car with my twin brother. When he comes home and I'm sitting in my room, I can feel and hear my car. However there are some disadvantages because there always is.

Rockford fostgates produce a lot of base but you need a power source for all the power that is needed. They are very good speakers but nothing is perfect. My car is a 1998 and it hasn't had its battery replaced and the subs work perfectly fine. Another downfall to these speakers is that the more you like it being loud the better chance they are going to blow. These speakers are meant to be loud so there is a slim chance that this will happen but it still will. I have had my speakers for about a year now and they have not blown yet or even coming close to it. The final set back on these speakers is that they can over heat the amplifier. They are running such high wattage and sometimes if you play the right song it could blow. All these problems have a slim chance of happening but there is still a chance.
From what I have learned These subs are the best all around. I would give these speakers a 5 out of 5. They give great base , and are really easy to install and uninstall. For the amount of money spent on these they are worth it. I recommend these speakers to any one that loves base. They are perfect for everyone and anyone that loves loud music.

This Amp is a gem!

I bought the amp + wire kit bundle. Awesome value!
Easy install using speaker inputs. Powers 2 x 12" Kickers in a ported box nicely! Doesn't get hot even after an hour of impressive thumping. Peace of mind with the 3 yr warranty.
Only downside is the bass boost in a switch on the amp. Some songs beg for bass boost and it would be nice to be able to turn it on in motion.
If you're worried about the low RMS rating, Ill tell ya, the air freshener hanging from my mirror jumps when I crank it! Plenty enough thump being pushed out! Had it almost 4 months now and no issues!

Cables all work and ties keep everything tidy. Plenty of extra length in a Mazda 3. My 5ch amp RMS power draw with volume all the way up should be under 360w (realistically under 250 when not trying to go deaf) so this should be more than sufficient.

Only 8ga so the wires aren't super stiff allowing for easy routing.
