great sub, good deep bass

Pros: deep bass, can be loud or soft and sound good, box doesnt matter, sounds good in sealed or ported, only need 500 watts to get it pounding.

Cons: will blow easily if you try to run it close to max watts (stick with rms), doesnt have the high notes that other subs do (this is more of a rap sub than a rock one).

Excellent product

I have this sub in a sealed box in my truck running at full power and it sounds very good. It doesn't distort at all and the bass hits very hard without any distortion. Highly recommended, I'm very happy with it.

I love these subs. I installed these and ran each one off its own amp. I'm only giving each one 500w but these things bang.

You wont be disappointed

Have had mine for at least 3 months or so. I have an 1100 watt peak 550 rms amp hooked up to this and I am not gentle with it. Just one 12 in a custom ported box and this blows away my friends two kicker CVRs. Definitely worth spending the extra buck to get these. You wont be disappointed.

Alpine 4eva

I have 2 12s wired down to 1ohm and I almost forgot what these sounded like! I owned 4 ran off 2 1500.1 kicker amps a couple years ago and they were dual 2 ohm wired to 1. Dual 4 put out the same head pounding bass, extreme lows with little or no distortion at high volumes. RE 1500.1 bridged are runnin mine. XS 1200v cell with .5 farad cap and yellow top optima for SERIOUS power. Sealed enclosure for my 97 continental.

Hard hittin

Bought this along with an RF Prime R500.1 (528RMS).
At first I had this in a sealed box and I was happy. Then I got a ported 1.8 cu ft box and this thing hits so dang hard. When the back seats are down it shakes my winshield and side mirrors like crazy. So many people ask what I have in back and they are amazed when I tell em its only 1 12". This thing out does 2 kickers easily. Almost nothing can compete with this sub in its range. The only thing that you have to watch on this sub is the low lows. After playin rack city at max volume they started to smell a bit. For all other Hz this thing is a beast.

Make sure you get a box designed to spec!

I had one alpine type r in a walmart box and was very disappointed. So I decided to get a second one and put them in a ported box designed to spec. WOW what a difference. I was bumping so hard my rear view mirror fell off! I would definitely recommend this sub just make sure you buy a ported box from sonic instead of settling for a walmart box!!

Alpine Type R

If you want loud get these. They dont change notes very well between high and low hits but they are still loud. If your lokking for everyone around to hear you get these. Two of these in a ported box is all the bass you would ever need.

I did not buy this amp from Sonic, but I've bought car audio from them before and I've been very satisfied. I bought this amp used for $300 and it's one of the best deals I've ever had! The birth certificate states it's was born on 4/08 and does 1830 wrms at 1 ohm! I currently have it hooked up to 2 JL Audio 12W7's in a 4 cu. ft. ported box and it slams!!! Loudest I've ever owned and heard (granted I've never been to a competition). I'm running 0 gauge wire, stock alt, kinetic hc800 in a 05 Ford Taurus.

Great amp

I just got one and its birth sheet says it puts out 1816 watts RMS at 1 ohm!! I have 2 12" t1's wired to this amp at 1 ohm and they pound and its all the way turned down! Great price and fast shipping!

the best.

this is the best amp.... im running it with a 2.0 cap, i had, (now i say had like they are past tens) and they blew up and might have smoked a little bit, now i have two 12' boston that are about to blow, this amp will do just about what ever you are asking and more, i say get this amp, or another rockford amp, never can go wrong with them,

T1500-1BD

I just switched over from using another amp back to Rockford Fosgate. This is hands down the best bass amp that I have ever used. My birthsheet had a rating of 1636 watts @ 1 ohm and 1130 watts @ 2 ohms. I run it at 2 ohms and the amp is absolutely incredible. To top things off this amp is very small, very refined and most of all an excellent buy.

Got this hooked up to a pair of alpine type-x (1000 rms per)..down firing in ext ranger..the birth cert show 1816 RMS!..perfect match for these subs!.FYI, does get pretty hot during the the summer, but can certainly take it. excellent amp

T1500-1bd

Got one of these awesome amps powering a 15" Kicker L7. Sounds awesome. Pushes my L7 like nothing. Have the gain turned up to almost half and it pushes my sub to the limit. Overall great amp. Definitely recommend this amp.

I bought this amp 3 days ago. And i am getting 1808 rms watts into 1 ohm. I love this amp i only have to turn my cd player up to 13 and it bangs harder then my old three 12 pioneers i used to have. Now i am running 2 type r's alpine 1242.12 inches. Into 1 ohm. I have a 1.8 ported box. Its hits hard!!!

Amazing Subs for the price

I had a hard time deciding if I should have gotten 2 or just 1. I ended up only getting 1 Alpine Type-R sub and this thing blasts! I'm running it off the Rockford R500 amp and it's perfect. So happy with my purchase.

I have this hooked up to a Powerbass XAX-1200d or something like that and I'm so impressed with both. i have this in a sealed box in my prelude and its so loud! I have one of these and all my friends think its awesome and it hits the notes I want it to. its quite heavy...but then again its a sub haha but it looks clean in the car and makes my rear view mirror start to fall haha. Everyone at the installation shop I went to was asking what i had and were trading in their Kenwoods and MTX and Pioneers for this. highly recommend this sub. i have not looked back on my purchase at all. i just wish it was a little more flashy...i love the simplicity but a little something more i think would be acceptable also. btw i listen to all sorts of music. im from LA so im big on hip hop and rock. this sub in a sealed box with my amp is just perfect. GET IT!

Bass in the place London!!

Don't bother looking anywhere else. Just click and buy. This sub is mental, an it keeps on going and going, giving birth to hard, deep and tight Bass! Im only running 400w rms on it in a sealed enclosure and my neighbors hate me. Can't wait for summer time in London! Amazing subs, shakes your brain!

Truly amazing subs these type r's are. Use to have two 12" in my old car hooked up to a 1000 watt rms rockford amp in a ported enclosure and man did these subs slam! For sure the hardest hitting subs I have ever owned. Would recommend these to anyone looking to rattle their brains!

I have 2 of these with a 3 cubic ft box and 2 Alpine mrx 1000 watt amps and these subs are the best in my town no one can match me and to any one that wants to buy kicker alpine is the way to go plus these things can take a beating.

Good all around sub

I really like this product. It is loud and pretty crisp and I only have it on a 500 watt memphis amp. It does smoke a little when I turn it up but im pretty sure thats my very old amp, and not the sub at all. I didnt like how the bannana clips for bridging the voicecoils felt so I just used speakerwire. They were just very loose. I listen to hip hop, punk, rap, dubstep and it compliments them all very well. Oh and if youve never listened to dubstep on subs then dont hate on it just yet. Its totally different. It is really about the bass you just dont get on headphones. Lol

I am running 4 of these puppies in my ford with about 7000 watts. These subs are drop dead sexy with HQ bass. If you want bass that will shake the crap out of your can + 4 blocks away these are the cheapest subs to do so. BTW you dont need to let these subs warm up in the winter, even tho its still a good idea.

These things are beasts. If you can't afford the really expensive stuff go with these. They won't dissapoint you. I started with one of the older models and it pounded on my amp pretty nasty for a single 12". Kind of reminded me of my w6 in a way. Now I have the newer model to go with it. I have the Kicker 750.1 running them in a sealed box in a Camry and its not enough by far. It sounds like one still. I have everything wired to the lowest ohms I can get em. I wish I would've gotten the 2 ohm ones to give em a bit more power, but I can't complain. I think they would be better off with a slot ported box but they sound very clean the way they are. With the right amp and set up you can run just one of these and be happy.

Holy crap i was at b*st b*y amd saw this and was like well ill give it a try and i shook my big mirror out of place on the drivers side but not only does it shake everything it delivers the bass that you need to hear!!

Alpine quality

This is the best overall sub for the money. I have 2 of them in a custom ported box that cost more than the subs! They are perfect for my pontiac g5 2009, but i also picked up a kinetic hc 1800 to help with the power issue and the dimming. LOVE THE NEW SIZE it saved space in my trunk! Oh and sonic does have the lowest price and free shipping!

AWE-MAZING!!!

The title says it all! I've had this sub for a day now and I still am surprised that I have all this bass coming from a 10" sub! It hits the highs and nails the lows and fills my whole Subaru with quality bass without rattling the trunk annoyingly. I put this in the sonic sealed box with .75 cubic feet hooked up to my old MTX TN250 Terminator amp and this thing barely takes up any space back there. This sub will not disappoint you!

High output, Good sound quality

I wanted a sub with high output and good SQ at a low price, after doing a lot of research, I decided on this woofer. I tossed it into a 1 cubic foot sized sealed box as recommended by Alpine for SQ (I mainly listen to rock music). I juiced it with an RF bdCP 1000, 900 watts at 4ohm.

I used to own 2 RF 12's powered by the first model Bd1000. This single 12 hits at least 70% as hard and has better sound quality.

I bought one more of these, and I'm thinking of sending it back, a single one is so loud. ( I will probably keep the extra one and hook it up)

I havent tried wiring this sub at 2ohms (My amp gives 1500 Watts at 2ohms) But I would imagine it would probably sound even better.

This sub sounds good for rock and rap, but for some reason, it makes techno and dance music sound great. It feels just as bulletproof as it looks in the pictures.

Nice Amp

This amp works great. I have it running one 12" JBL GTI. It is the older series, which has great sound quality.

Too much power???

Amazing sound quality amazing spl amazing power output amazing design literally speechless. only thing i have to say is you have to witness the power of a rockford amp to see the quality and features put into this intense amp. my birthsheet on mine was 1832rms at 1ohm at 2ohm its 1244rms and 4ohm it's 571rms.

Small and powerful. Does not overheat as much as typical Fosgate amps. Does not overdraw current as commonly known to be a Fosgate Factor. On a scale from 1 to 5 I'll give it 3.5 to 4. Not the most powerful amp in the market for this price range, but it comes with a very nice warranty and the Fosgate known quality reputation.

Insane Bass

I have one in a 2009 Ford Escape for my wife. It's running off a pr2.100 Memphis 2 channel bridged at 300 rms. This sub is by far not getting enough wattage but the sound and clarity is superior than 2 PR Memphis 12's. This one sub is plenty for her car and I recommend this for all. This sub is well worth 200.00 range easily. I fiberglassed a box with 1.9 cu internal vented tuned at 32hz. This is a 5 star sub.

Two SWR1243D on a BXI2607D at 1 ohm

These subs can get really loud they can almost handle all the power my bxi2607d puts out at one ohm but I cant run all the power to them.
I would recomend these to someone who likes mid low to mid bass they dont go too low so if your looking for low lows like 5-30 hz look somewhere else I put them in a box that is 3 cubes per chamber tuned at 32 hz and the aw1208t's I had in the same box really hit the lows crazy but these r's they are more for 30-60hz bass that most rap plays and they sound really great just don't hit vary low like i would like or Im used too lol

awsome for the price

I bought two for these subs in June and man do they sound good. Ive never had alpine. Ive had kicker cvrs solo baric cvx Ive also had memphis and to be honest with you nothing has compared to these other than I really liked the solo baric l5. I have the bxi 1610d running two of them in a ported box I dont know the cubic feet of the box lol but the bxi is rated at 1600 rms but ive talked to several at sonic and this amp pushes about 1400 rms but they do hit pretty hard I have 0/1 gauge ran and I upgraded my alternator to 150 amp and I soon will be getting the sk-bt60 and another sub! sonic is a great place to buy from ships fast I would recommend this sub to anyone for the amount of money sonic has them priced at you cant beat it.

This amp is absolutely amazing. I knew it would do the job, but I didn't know it was going to improve the entire sound quality of my truck. The best thing about this amp along with my head unit and speakers is the price. Every time somebody hears me and asks me what I have in my truck they can't believe that 10's can sound that good. But the most enjoyable part is when they ask how much I spent on it all. They about faint. This is my new electronics dealer anything I need I get from this store. Because everything I go to one of the electronics dealer in town and ask about a few things on prices they cant get it near what sonicelectronix sells it for. So why even look any more people.

RockFord T-1500BD

I got this amp to power Alpine Type R 15". it was my first experience with SPL with these two giants and i cant believe what happened next. Alpine Type R 1522 in ported box tuned at 35Hz, from amp- sub sonic to 15hz, half gain and punch booseter set to 80Hz, the slam and punch was so tight that it actually felt inside.. this amp is of great value and money.. worht buying this amp, power it with stinger 4 guage and Interconnects SI8220 and see what magic it brings to your vehicle :P

Awesome Subs

I bought 2 of these. Threw them in custom 1.7cu Per ported box. Cant beat it. I have them in an escort. Got my windshield and my wipers shaking like crazy. I have them on an alpine MRP-M2000 and I am very satisfied.

GOOD BUT YOU NEED

You need the correct box for this sub to sound incredible. They hit hard. If not in the correct box the bass could sound harsh and not so clean but in the proper box the sub wont let you down.

An amazing amp!

This amp is great all around! Ive had it in many different sub setups and it never gets hot. Even ran it hard in usaci competition at .5ohms! Did just fine! been through many amps in my life but this is the best one far.

Loud Sub

I listen to one of these all the time in my friend's car. It slams! He pushes it past the rms too often but this subwoofer handles it well. I have seen this sub pushed obviously past it's limits for a couple minutes straight and it is DURABLE! Luckily, it just wont blow. The sound quality isn't there. I have W3's and they are noticeably cleaner. If you put this in the right size ported box, it is well worth the money.

These subs are a great deal. They are built with amazing quality and they are cheaper than almost any sub in it's class. I have two of these with a Hifonics HFI2000d amp and they pound. Make sure you give them enough power though, otherwise they won't play at all.

My brother owned two of these in a ported box being pushed by an Alpine MRP-1000 amp. i was getting a 5 star back massage in the front seat! he recently switched to CVX's but id say these subs are in the same class as those are. really a lot of bang for your buck.

i just put one in my 2004 cavalier last night and it bangs for sure. it was an upgrade from two 10" audiobahns and it hits just as hard straight out the box. i cant wait til its broke in so i can turn my amp up. i think im gona stick with alpine from now on. definitely recommend to anyone especially for the price.

Blew me away!

I just got finished hooking my 2 alpines up to a hifonics brutus amp at one ohm. Each are getting about 600w rms and they are brutal!!! Would highly recommend these subs to anyone who wants clarity with their hard hitting bass.

I would absolutely recommend the alpine type R. I have it hooked up to an 1800 w kenwood amp and it is ridiculously loud!

Its alright.

I had my type-r 3 months and the cone came off the voice coil so I'm not very happy how Alpine built these. I spent full retail on the sub somewhere else.

Great subs for the price!

I have two of these subs, with each one being powered by one PDX-M6 Monoblock 600 watt amp. They sound amazing. Very clean, tight sound that I hadnt experienced with my past sound systems. You wont find a better subwoofer in this price range. Currently, I'm running 600 watts to a sub that runs at 600 rms, and it appears to be a perfect match in conjunction with the rest of my system, as I want a clean, blended and loud sound, not huge Boom Boom from the trunk and nothing else being heard. If you're like me, you read nearly every damn review before you punched in that credit card. Buy them!

Great Sub!!

Pushes great bass and with that 20% reduction i think it is a sub basically for anyone. i have one in a custom built box in my 1978 Ford F-150 ranger XLT and it has great sound quality and amazing bass. Alpine has a great product on there hands!

Amazing Subwoofer

Previously, I had a 15" Kicker Comp, and I loved it but it was too big and took up too much trunk space, so this time around I wanted something smaller and louder. I got it! This is a great sub woofer and will not disappoint, I couldn't be more pleased.

Totally worth it!!

Use to own 2 of these bad boys and had them in a slot ported enclosure in my Delta 88... never regreted the purchase because they stood up to their reputation in both SQ and SPL.. I would probably still have these if they hadnt been stolen from my brother when I loaned em to him to sell after my car got trashed... they last, sound great, and can play all spectrums of music accurately and clearly!!!

Excellent sub!

I'm running one of these with the 600watt amp made for this sub, and it sounds excellent.. actually made some plastic clips in my car rattle loose causing plastic parts to detach lol. Great sub just give it proper time to break in, I blew a 1242D (previous years model) by pounding it too early in the break in process. Once its broken in, it can put out a lot of bass for a long time without overheating or anything weird like that.

bumps hard

i bought this sub a while ago but bought a truck so i never quite had enough room for all my stuff and a big 12" ported box so i sold it to my friend. he has this sub in his trunk and even with the seats up it still bumps hard. He has it in a ported box and it really sounds good. He has it on an alpine mrp-m500 and you can tell it makes the sub happy just by how clear and loud it gets.

great subs, can take all you throw at them

Awesome subs. I have two of these in my 06 explorer with only 600 watt Sony pushing them because my other amp broke. They are in a fiberglass enclosure custom tuned to 34 htz. The subs with the amp and 2 guage wire and Optima battery surprisingly do plenty of shaking for me and I don't need any more power.

Alpine r 12

I have 3 Type Rs and they slam. There in a triple sealed box. Need to get another amp to power them. You can't go wrong with Alpine or Sonic.

I just purchased 2 of these a few weeks back to replace my 2 kicker cvr's and there is clearly a noticeable difference in spl, these things pound hard! I have them in a ported box and the amount of air these things can push is almost ridiculous. I have them wired at one ohm running off a 1000 watt MB Quart amplifier which I also got from sonic and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend these subs to anyone! Great spl and also great sq! Apline rules! =)

best bang for buck

I went head and got 2 of these with a hifonics brz1200 and did a custom ported box. box alone is big enough for 2 15s so for these 12s they HIT!!!! I have them in a chevy tahoe its flexing wipers, sunroof, side doors, and back hatch rattled so bad had to do 5 sheets of dynamat. overall get these they are crazy loud

Wow.

I bought these subs a couple of days ago and they BANG. My system is the loudest I have ever herd and I installed it for less than anyone I know with subs that are wayyy cheaper because of Sonic Electronix. And not to mention when I play rock and even old songs by the Beatles they add so much depth to the songs it's amazing. Like my studio speakers! 100% recommend these.

My friend purchased this and i helped him install it into his mustang. he didn't want crazy bass so he got one. Not even broken in yet and its ridiculous for 1 sub. Sound quality is great and its still very loud. i would recommend this to people that want good deep quality bass.

Great subs for the price

These things pound. I currently have a Kenwood eXcelon 794x running to these subs and make them absolutely crisp. I have a Hifonics Brutus 1200 RMS and let me tell it pushes the subs to the max and you cannot tell they are not slowing down one bit. For the price and quality I would highly recommend these subs to anyone who is looking for sum slap.

Serious Sub

I have this in a SonicElectronix slot ported box and wow does this put out some serious SPL's with 600 clean watts from an old Diamond Audio D5 600.1 amplifier wired in parallel. This combo sounds and feels like it's going to rattle my Civic Si Sedan to pieces. I am going to need some serious Dynamat to keep it all under control! I highly recommend this sub. There simply isn't anything better in this price range.

Some of the Best

I have two of these hooked up to an alpine MRP-M2000, getting about 750-800 watts rms each. They hit real hard. Mine are in a sealed box stuffed with polyfill. Get these and give them lots of power.

Good sub

Just installed one with an mrp-m500 and it hits good. Bought some more for me and accidentally spilled some epoxy on it. When getting the epoxy off, it peeled some of the cone with it which is when I noticed that the cone is not really "kevlar" but pressed paper with a metallic paint coat on top. Other than that, its a great sub...just wish alpine didn't twist the truth

Good Sub

This was the third sub I ever had and it sounded pretty good, I ran it at about 600 watts rms power and it hit the lows great. Definitely a good buy.

The Beast!

I bought this sub and made a downward facing sealed enclosure with about 1.25 cubic foot air space. Running a 2000 watt amp and it hits great! Good clarity, thump, and rugged build. It kills in my large truck. I wouldn't need another since it does what I need, but if I did I would definitely get another alpine.

Well not sure yet

I bought these to replace my kicker cvr 12s, thinking higher x max would allow them to hit deeper than the kickers.I put them in sealed boxes and run each one with a Kicker 750 amp. They dont sound as loud and are distorting when turned up.Might be bad amp match up or I need ported box? I have however heard one of these subs in someones car ported and it sounded great so that is probably the answer.

God Damn!

I have four of these in a sealed quad box hooked up to a single alpine mrp-m2000, thats 500 watts per subwoofer, an alpine head unit with monster 400 series wires, optima yellow top battery and a kinetik's hc600 and all i have to say is god damn in the words of e-40 "my s*** bangs" great subs this is the 3rd system that ive had 12" typr r's and ive never been disapointed. I had a single original 12" type r in my caviler with a directed 1100d blew it but thats bound to happen when you double the rms to your sub then i bought two of then next series same directed 1100d in the same car sold them for 15 kicker l5's "dump stupid idea!" now i have four of the current models 2011 little r's 100 more rms then the last two series so yeah i know what i'm talking about when i say buy these muthaf***** subs they take a beating and sound great and for a this price s*** you would have to be stupid to pass them up!

Awesome for the price

The new third generation Alpine Type R has some pretty nice changes from the last one, like a higher RMS rating to be the best change, a slightly more shallow mount design, and a better motor cooling system... But the bottom line is this thing pounds hard for such a good price.

awesome sub

i have one of these bad boys in my car hooked up to a 500 alpine mono block. this thing bangs. i have it in my jeep liberty in a 1.5 cubic foot ported box. all i have to say is wow!!!!!! i get out of my car sometimes with my ears hurting. i plan to get a second one and another amp to power it. one is perfectly good for your car, but if you want to get some nice comments from your friends get two. you will not go wrong.

This is a great sounding sub and can a Lil more power than it is rated. have it wired @ 2 ohms n a ported box running off an alpine m500 amp. also tryed it on an alpine m650 n it handled it with ease. would recommend to any1 who loves tight clean bass

Awsome Sub Great Sound

Alpine Subs just rock, I have had Kicker CVR,CVX, and L7s, DD, Rockford, and JL W7s sure those are good subs great SPL so so sound quilty. For the price Alpine can't be beat nice SPL but also amazing sound quality ever at max volume, if you thank there not good it is prob your box you need to always have a custom box built for your car/suv for your subs to be the best they can, sure a prefab box works but the box makes night and day in quality. I have two in a custom 4 cf box ported around 30hz for SQ the higher the port the more SPL but the less SQ. There running off a clarion PDX11500 1500w RMS at 1 Ohm and its more then then Kicker L7 15" I just took out. Will always buy Alpine as long as they keep up the great work.

this thing pounds...i had one hooked up to rockford fosgate 500 rms amp..and it rocked this sub to h***...it pounds the heck out of my car...1 is all you need. if your looking for ridiculous bass get yourself a couple of these..you can run them on 2ohm at 500+rms and this things takes it like a champ

This is a great sub i got a alpine mrp-500 mono amp pushing it and it thumps really hard, great value for the money.

True 1/0 gauge!

Swapped out my old 4 ga db link amp kit with these tsunami wires and noticed an improvement instantly! These wires are monsters and still extremely flexible. Their a bit hard to solder since the jacket melts. But for the price this is the only wire I know of thats 100% ofc and not copper clad alluminum. Its the real deal and for the price its a steal.

This is probably one of the most reasonably priced 0 gauge ofc kits on the market. Supplies plenty of juice to my mtx 1500w rms amp. Best deal I found and is superb quality. Been using it for 6 months and couldn't be happier.

Great kit for the price. True 0ga wire. Could use a longer ground wire and I had to upgrade to a 300a fuse. Wire is sturdy but very pliable and looks great!

For a sealed box, this box is a good purchase. While the banana clips in the back do often unscrew loose while trying to attach the speaker wires (not completely off, but loose enough to be a pain) the box provides plenty of room and makes my bass rock the whole neighborhood!

Bought this because of the price. Worked out well. Tsunami gives you enough wire to run it all except for the ground cable is a little short. Coupled this with the big three upgrade kit, HO alternator and a yellowtop battery. No dimming lights and no dropping of deep notes. I would also recommend upgrading the fuse. Its only 250 amp.

Good Box

This is a pretty solid box. It gets the job done. after 6 months of use, some of the carpet is starting to wear away, but they box is still solid and beating hard. The wiring clips come loose constantly however. I epoxy glued them in place to fix the problem. Only complaint.

I have my 2 12'' 1500watt Boss Chaos extreme ssubs in the is and the box is hold up to expectations.

Nice Install kit

The power wire is blue and has a nice connector on one end and the ground is like a clear with a connector on one end also. I really like the fuse block. On my last system I had one of the glass fuse setup's and had the solder that holds the metal bar on the inside of the fuse melts before the fuse actually blows. It took me a while to figure out the fuse went bad cause it didn't look blown. Overall if you have big amp and need some 1/0 gauge wire this is the kit to get.

Great Quality!

I just installed this sub and amp with a buddy of mine today and it seems to have no cons except for the gauge wire being 1 inch thick. Its not a big deal, I just used wire cutters and cut 2/3 of the wire to fit it in the amp and it seems to work more than just fine. I didn't use the feautures except for the wiring. Rockford amp is absolutely the way to go for a high powered bass system with many watts. Something they don't tell you about rockfords is that it puts out twice as much bass than what it says without any bridging. The subs are outstanding and take highs and lows like a champ. Can use higher powered subs but the two together is a fantastic combination I love the system and its worth the price on my pick.

Great Amp Kit

This amp kit is a FANTASTIC bang for your buck. Wire isnt cheap, and it flexes very easily. Top notch all around. Biggest let down is that it does NOT include RCA's.

expecting better

I bought this box with some kicker 12's and the box was not that great. I mean, its a box, how can u screw up? Well u can apparently. First the glue makes my car smell horrible. The points where the screws go in weren't catching the wood when installing. And the seal off point between the 2 enclosures are vibrating so loud that I have to jam soccer balls and pillows against the top of my trunk to push the box down. Oh and I just installed it 2 weeks ago.

Box is OK quality. Could be sealed better. Did not come with polyfill as shown in photos. No logo either. I would of returned it if it was not such a huge item.

Wire is true to guage, all components are sturdy and look great. It's been 6 months and I've had no problems at all.
