NVX VSW122v2 (VSW122 v2)

This subwoofer is AWESOME! I'm even saying this after trying both the XQW and VCW 12". I love the XQW but it is too big to fit in my Underseat, 1.85 cu ft vented Dodge Ram Fox Acoustics box, so I went with the VCW. I like precision and SQ, and the VCW wasn't responsive enough. It is DEFINITELY an SPL subwoofer and can move massive amounts of air. I was hesitant to try this one since it's a lesser model than those two, but I am SUPER pleased with it's tight response for rock music and it's booming sound for rap and electronic. For it's price it is a contender with models in the $200 price range!

Of 2 ohms.. (Pushing 600 watts to each woofer). So far i have no regrets about my purchase.
Sure you can spend alot more on woofers but for my application for my daily driver these are great.

I'm running this off a NVX NDA102 amplifier @ 1ohm in sealed box. Sounds amazing and slams so hard I need to amplify my door speakers now. Great subwoofer for the price.

For the price you won't find a better woofer! This thing hits the bass I was looking for without breaking the bank!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PIECE!!!!!!!!

first timer with the NVX VSW122v2 so I purchased two of these with the grills NVX NV12GR for my 2012 impala which are currently in a sealed enclosure Sealed Box Volume 1.25 powered by a alpine 1200 RMS mono-block wired to a final impedance Of 2 ohms Pushing 600 watts to each woofer. they sound dam good

Awesome Sub

I bought 2 and put them in a custom box with a used kicker 750w amp. These subs absolutely slam. The range is good and the bass is clean I would recommend to anyone looking for some extra thump

Beast subs

I would recommend these subs if you want some great sound but I’m going with the Vcws so I can really feel the bass. Update I sent them back and ordered them this and they get down. Basket came completely off magnet

Bought for home subs

Class D full range?

After reading online about the issues faced by high frequency reproduction and class d technology I was skeptical whether these amps would perform well at high volume/high frequency. While my setup may not be quite audiophile grade, the addition of this amp has definitely brought it up a peg.

Seeing the Polk class D would run cooler and take up less space for the power, I bit the bullet and ordered. I am a believer now! This amp sounds great! While my Infinity Kappa 6x8's have always been a little on the bright side, they play much smoother than the other amps I've tried. Also, after playing the system at near full volume for 2hrs, the amp barely gets warm. Awesome!

May or may not be audiophile grade, but for anyone with a half way decent setup (aftermarket amps and speakers) will most likely be satisfied! I wouldn't let the amp class decide for you, get to your local audio shop and test one out today!!

By the way, did I mention the band-pass filter with the x10 multiplier? I think Polk just got a new #1 fan!!

P.S. I have only heard about Polk durability... gave it 5 stars

awesome subs

I have a 10-inch dvc nvx and it is awesome! I use it in my suv. I decided my 12" Kenwood subs were just not enough. they were distorting at higher volumes indicating the subs couldn't handle the amp. so I installed these and opened them up. They were so loud it shook every bay door in my shop and knocked the snow off the roof I'd say I pushed around 600-700 watts! downside is.. I pushed my old xr900-5 amp too hard it is dead LOL Oh well! I have a jp95 5 channel down4sound amp shipping in.

INCREDIBLE

I ordered this amp on a decision that it is cheap and has the 500rms I wanted. Plus I feel Polk Audio brand should be good enough to do the job.

Man...I was wrong. IT DID ONE HELL OF A JOB!

Obviously 500rms means power, but it isn't just SPL that this incredibly small Polk Audio amp provides; it provides superb subbass definition I have since long forgotten! I admit I wasn't expecting such a high sound quality out of this amp, but hearing is believing and this amp delivers! My subwoofer is AVI Sound SLS300, a high end subwoofer that once upon a time was paired with DLS Ultimate amp. This baby Polk did just as good if not better thanks to the higher power rating. It is just incredible.

Build quality is awesome too. It feels well made and solid with a nice weight to it. The piano black finish is gorgeous, and connection is very very good. The size? My goodness it is a blessing. The price? Ummm, if I said it I fear Sonic will jack up the price!

I suggests one thing for all of you guys wanting a high quality amp be it for front speakers or subwoofer; buy this amp!

I cannot say about reliability, but thus far I never blown an amp so maybe it is down to installation. Hell, why not, I just gonna give it 5/5 because this product truly impressed me.

Crisp and clean and unreal amounts of power in this tiny package.

I bought this with the PAD1000.1 for a new install. Driving a set of SR6500's. I have never had these speakers sound so good. Auditioned with some Duffy, Adele and then to see how they handle a pounding, some Five Finger. Nice, tight midrange and the vocals are breath taking with this new D series amp. Like the other PAD, this amp runs COOL over a long long period. The clarity of this amp is just nothing short of amazing. The SR6500's really shine with this amp. Did I mention how tiny this thing is? You can install it anywhere. Same heavy duty 1/0 accepting power connection and a beautiful finish. State of the art in all aspects. This amp cannot dissappoint.

Great sound and impact

I bought this sub to match up with my JBL Club A600 amp. Sounds very good in a large ported box. It hits the notes hard, and with impact. Its missing some of the low end 30-35 hz tones, but thats due to the box tuning at 42-43hz, not the subwoofer. A great value for the money. It weights between 15-16 pound. Highly recommend.

Great sub

The main feature I was looking for was the dual 2 ohm vc. 12's usually don't have that option and if it does they are expensive. This NVX sub drops to 20 hz and sounds great, wired to 1 ohm connected to a Rocford Fosgate 1200 D amp and this sub hits hard and deep.

Killer 12 inch Subwoofer!

Strong amp

Strong amp and low distortion. Great specs. Very clean power. I liked it so much I ordered a second to drive another pair of speakers. It drove alpine 50c so strong I had to put 60c in the back on the same amp. Nice connection posts. Solid and secure. Small footprint nice controls and the daisy chain ability of input output is handy. Seen the same amp under another brand for more money. Sonic price makes it easy to get into a good amp and shipping was crazy fast.
