This is a great amp power kit! I've bought three of them for different cars that I have owned. The cables are excellent quality and easy to route.

Nice install kit!

This is a quality kit with true 8 AWG wire. Has a high strand count and very flexible. The only con i have with the kit is they give you a ring terminal and spade for the ground wire but only a single ring terminal for the power wire but no spade to connect to your amp. I don't understand that but it's not a big deal. I would buy this again.

Great kit for the money

This was the least expensive kit I could find to install my sub. It worked fine and had all the bits and pieces needed. Didn't really want blue wire but I wire-loomed everything anyway so it doesn't show up. Recommended!

Bang for the buck!

This is by no means Kicker quality... But it is also by no means Kicker price. You get what you pay for. For a CHEAP entry level system, this is sufficient. Wouldn't push it all that hard though.

Awesome install kit

I'm running four 8" subs off of two 175watt RMS amps, and the cables don't even get hot, even at very high levels.

1.5 years after install, they are holding up just fine.

Comes with good quality gold plated connectors that don't fall off.

If you are resourceful, this has enough cables do do an install on two cars.

Very good quality cable with high quality insulation. The hardware that came with it was of high quality too... better than most generic electronic connections.

I wish the power cable was a bit longer, though... ended up using it and the ground cable just for the positive line. Finding more wire isn't hard, but it was an inconvenience.

The ground and power wires are coated with thin plastic instead of the red or blue braided heavier coating. If you get a tiny slit or cut in them you will lose the amp for awhile and have to get another $30 install kit so be careful with those two wires.

Overall this kit was very nice and of good quality. It does include connectors, grommets, 1 single spade connector, 1 butt connector etc. However those little accessories are very low quality and I would suggest buying your own from the local hardware store.

However, the wires and fuse themselves were very good quality and I would buy again.

Thinner than I thought it would be

Just ordered the exact same product in 8 gauge from a different site. when it arrive I compared it to othe pieces of 8 gauge wire I had and appeared to be about half as much metal/wire as the other pieces I had. Im not sure if this is low quality or not I havnt hooked it up to any amp yet but it just seems more like 10 gauge wire than 8 gauge wire

Best Amp Kit Around

Great amp kit, this will be the third car i've bought this for including a hybrid and i've seen it go through two iterations and them changing the fuse holder so you know they're listening to complaints. My only complaint still is you have to buy a second RCA when you buy it. Never had any of the cables be cut by anything on accident or anything i did have an old alpine amp that would cause one of the braids to fray but that was the amps fault. Yeah its not your beefy zero gauge stuff but not everyone wants or most of all can afford that. Overall great cables, great discreet fuse holder, includes all you need at a great price.

This kit gets the job done, but don't expect anything beyond that. Not that I'm complaining, it was the cheapest kit I could find on this site. If you are running 500 watts or less this is the kit for you. If you got a couple mofo's you should get a better kit.

Decent amp kit for the money. True 8ga copper, very flexible making it easy to route. I enjoy the type of fuse holder they give with the kit. The crimps are nice. The rcas are on par. The better option

The power and ground wires in this kit might be slightly less than 8 gauge. But still close enough that they will work fine for most amps that work wire 8 gauge input. Cables are long enough to reach the back of just about any car. And a kit is much more convenient and cheaper than having to buy all the pieces separately.

Works well

I've had this cap hooked up for a while now to a mono kicker 750, does what its supposed to. Pretty cheap, keeps the lights from dimming and has a fancy digital readout on it. Only problem I have with it is the terminals are huge, its pretty difficult to find end connectors for your wires that fit over them. I had to buy the biggest ones I could find and drill them out.

Nice unit

This cap was easy to hook up and works great for me. Never had a problem with it. Gets the job done. Be careful not to lose the bulb that chargers the cap when you first use it!

Well worth the money

I ordered this online because my subwoofer would hit so hard, all my lights would dim and this completely took care of the problem. I also had alternator feedback and this took care of that as well. This is well worth the money and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this product. Plus it came in three days which was nice. Keep it up sonicelectronix.

Works great if you need a little boost in performance or are trying to run a bigger amp than you're car can handle without one. But if you're running a massive system you're going to need to use a bigger farad capacitor. This is meant for a smaller system up to 1000w max.

Good Cap for a good price

I bought this cap to help eliminate some alt. whine and has helped out greatly. This is the best price I was able to find of one and the digital read out is a nice bounus.

I bought it 6 months ago and it does its job and does it well. Gave my amp which is 1500watts a boost. It helps with the lights dimming but you still may notice a dim once in awhile. I turned my amp up and it does a good job. 1500watt amp with one JL 12in sub. I would recommend this cap to anyone for the money!!!

I bought the Raptor for the features and the savings. I think I paid a total of about $38 after shipping and handling. It really improves power and bass response on my system. I actually use it on a homemade boombox in my home. I would recommend this product.

great product , works till stolen

I would recommend this raptor 1 farad cap to alot of people lookin for a good, yet not too spendy capacitor. I think it was a good buy! Worked great, good voltage stabilizer for a 300-500 watts RMS system, and cool led volt meter on it. Shipped on time, got here in new condition. Added more power to my amp 14.4 volts, was bumpin hard on my 12" mtx's subs. Someone thought... "Hey, I like that system lets take it". Some people cant get their own the right way. So beware of theft!

It does it's job as well as the more expensive models

I would recommend this product to anybody that needs some help for thier alternator/ battery, this cap is good to 20volts which even most of the higher end ones wont do (even though your car cannot produce 20volts) but it is nice to have that extra headroom. I chose this capacitor over the other 1farad capacitor because of the led display, In my opinion it is a must when you have a cap, it reads correctly.

My only complaint is that the led display is a bit dull you cannot see it in direct sunlight, but that isnt too big of an issue.

But in short i would reccomend this product to anybody on a budget

Cheaper alternative

The Raptor was a lot less $$. I was skeptical but have had it installed in our car for 6 months now and it performs perfect. Glad I saved the money and went with the Raptor.

Great for its Price

I owned two of these in a pre-made box (same manufacturer) powered by a 1200w Pioneer amp. They hit very well and don't have too much bass distortion. They could hit a bit higher, but for the price, I really couldn't complain. Great for a starter project.

Good Price but...

I had this capacitor sitting in its packaging for a few months and finally had it installed by an audio shop. It did definitely raise the power in the 12 inch I had running it to but did not take care of the dimming lights. I have one 400 watt amp and running a slim sony 12 inch enclosed sub. But for the price, it is not a bad buy.

Great Value!

I had problems with Kenwood KAC-8105D (1000w Max) Amp overheating and every light inside and outside dimming. After installing the Raptor C1.0FM lights inside car no longer dim and headlights will only dim during prolonged deep bass. Overheating takes longer to happen (due to limited trunk space). Great Price. Haven't had any trouble with capacitor itself. Digital meter is accurate and looks great!

Not the greatest

It could just be my car, but the battery was brand new and my headlights dimmed a lot with slaps on, this improved it a little bit but not that much but it could just be my dumb car.

Can't Beat it for the price

I bought this sub at a local audio shop, but I should have gotten it from here. However, it is really good for the price. I bought it because the RMS and peak wattage are exactly the same as old profile amp I had. That old amp slams this sub in a box that I built. You really can't beat this sub for the price.

Raptor Cap

I'm currently running 480 watt amp, with a 800 watt Kicker comp sub, my lights were dimming whenever my bass hits. I was skeptical about caps at first but it was wrong to. If you don't have a strong enough alternator this won't do anything for you. Upgrade your battery and your alternator before this. It only charges as fast as you alternator will let you. With that begin said I love this thing. You really don't realize just how much bass your amp isn't pushing till you make up for it with one of these.

Best bang for buck Cap

I used this Capacitor in my car to power my 600w powered subwoofer and it works great keeping the power surges from the amp from affecting my battery. Before the lights used to flicker a bit and at times things (like power windows) would work slower with all the power being used up by different electronics (55w HIDs, Double-Din HU, & Inverter) but now everything works fine since the main strain of the amp has been pulled off.

Very good for the price!!

These subs really are having me in awe at how good they are for the price, i ordered on a Wednesday, they got here Tuesday. In between that time i was building a box for these subs, its a small box for two twelves but im trying to make my trunk fit as many as possible. At first i was skeptical because of the cone, its kind of thin and i thought it would break easily but it didnt. These subs hit just as good as my MTX audios. I can undoubtedly say I will be buying from SonicElectronix from now on.

Best price for what you get

I've had it for about six months now and I've been nothing but happy with it. Love the light up display, the only negative thing I could find about it is that bolts used to hold down your ring terminals for the 12v and ground. You need an allen wrench or keys to tighten it but its such a minor detail and you can change it if you really want to anyways. Overall awesome and I recommend it to anyone wanting to save their battery.

Helps a little

This product does reduce headlight dimming at night. As far as a bass hit goes, it will give you about three seconds of strong bass before it discharges. Ultimately if you are looking for stronger bass, you need to upgrade your car's power (alternator, batteries). If you are looking for a buffer to reduce the bass strikes to prevent mild to moderate headlight dimming this product will suffice.

Bought this amp to power speakers and works great. its nice and small so it fits alot of places. the fan keeps it cooled well.

Raptor capacitor review

This capacitor is not a good choice. I actually don't think any capacitor is a good choice. they do not work and if they do its negligible. My lights were dimming every time my bass hit and my voltage dropped every time that i can see on my volt meter gauge. When i installed the raptor capacitor, all of those things continued to happen. I saw no improvement.
