This is a great amp power kit! I've bought three of them for different cars that I have owned. The cables are excellent quality and easy to route.

Nice install kit!

This is a quality kit with true 8 AWG wire. Has a high strand count and very flexible. The only con i have with the kit is they give you a ring terminal and spade for the ground wire but only a single ring terminal for the power wire but no spade to connect to your amp. I don't understand that but it's not a big deal. I would buy this again.

Great kit for the money

This was the least expensive kit I could find to install my sub. It worked fine and had all the bits and pieces needed. Didn't really want blue wire but I wire-loomed everything anyway so it doesn't show up. Recommended!

RCA cables are thin and cheap. Other than that it is a good kit with everything you could need.

Bang for the buck!

This is by no means Kicker quality... But it is also by no means Kicker price. You get what you pay for. For a CHEAP entry level system, this is sufficient. Wouldn't push it all that hard though.

Awesome install kit

I'm running four 8" subs off of two 175watt RMS amps, and the cables don't even get hot, even at very high levels.

1.5 years after install, they are holding up just fine.

Comes with good quality gold plated connectors that don't fall off.

If you are resourceful, this has enough cables do do an install on two cars.

What more could I ask for?

Good quality, could've been longer.

Very good quality cable with high quality insulation. The hardware that came with it was of high quality too... better than most generic electronic connections.

I wish the power cable was a bit longer, though... ended up using it and the ground cable just for the positive line. Finding more wire isn't hard, but it was an inconvenience.

The ground and power wires are coated with thin plastic instead of the red or blue braided heavier coating. If you get a tiny slit or cut in them you will lose the amp for awhile and have to get another $30 install kit so be careful with those two wires.

Overall this kit was very nice and of good quality. It does include connectors, grommets, 1 single spade connector, 1 butt connector etc. However those little accessories are very low quality and I would suggest buying your own from the local hardware store.

However, the wires and fuse themselves were very good quality and I would buy again.

Thinner than I thought it would be

Just ordered the exact same product in 8 gauge from a different site. when it arrive I compared it to othe pieces of 8 gauge wire I had and appeared to be about half as much metal/wire as the other pieces I had. Im not sure if this is low quality or not I havnt hooked it up to any amp yet but it just seems more like 10 gauge wire than 8 gauge wire

Best Amp Kit Around

Great amp kit, this will be the third car i've bought this for including a hybrid and i've seen it go through two iterations and them changing the fuse holder so you know they're listening to complaints. My only complaint still is you have to buy a second RCA when you buy it. Never had any of the cables be cut by anything on accident or anything i did have an old alpine amp that would cause one of the braids to fray but that was the amps fault. Yeah its not your beefy zero gauge stuff but not everyone wants or most of all can afford that. Overall great cables, great discreet fuse holder, includes all you need at a great price.

Get what you pay for

This kit gets the job done, but don't expect anything beyond that. Not that I'm complaining, it was the cheapest kit I could find on this site. If you are running 500 watts or less this is the kit for you. If you got a couple mofo's you should get a better kit.

Decent amp kit for the money. True 8ga copper, very flexible making it easy to route. I enjoy the type of fuse holder they give with the kit. The crimps are nice. The rcas are on par. The better option

The power and ground wires in this kit might be slightly less than 8 gauge. But still close enough that they will work fine for most amps that work wire 8 gauge input. Cables are long enough to reach the back of just about any car. And a kit is much more convenient and cheaper than having to buy all the pieces separately.

LOVE EM!!!

I got this setup installed last night with a Boss Double Din touchscreen and my 97 ES300 is SLAPPIN SO HARD!!! It came with alot more than I thought. The box was a lil big for my car so we couldn't push it all the way back but even still. I love it. These knock even with the radio volume bass set at 15 and most people I know with 12's and 15's have theirs set to 25+. The guy that installed it for me said for the money, this is the best setup he's seen in awhile!

Great Litttle Thumper!

The R250-1 drives my subwoofer. At half volume one can see the windows moving inside of the cab. With your hand one can feel the truck body vibrating on the outside. The sound remains clear from low volume to wide open. I never dreamed that a 250 watt amp could produce the sound that this thing does. It was easy to set up, and runs very cool. It is a well made product, and is a great buy in its price range.

Use your head

With the right system this amp is perfect. Whoever said this amp won't bump is either misinformed or ill educated in sound equipment. I'm running this with a mere 8 inch (e3.8) in a .35 sealed enclosure at half power, and my little Ford Focus looks like its having seizure. If you want a little more, try a 10 or 12 inch MTX with a nice ported box... assuming you are tuned correctly you are gonna bump without trying. Just keeping it simple people. I am tired of wannabe bass enthusiasts and their 1000 watt boss amps (this 250 will push nearly as hard with 10X the quality). Oh, and I should mention... your R250-1 will exceed its rating. Mine pushes a guaranteed 272 watts, just check the certificate when it comes in the mail.

Sub 12

This is an excellent choice. the price is absolutely affordable and worth every cent. the quality is great. its the first sub i ever owned and it kicks hard. it takes about a month to break in to its full potential but its sweet. it gets loud and entertains all my friends. if your looking for a complete earthquake get the 15 but if you want a nice quality sub get the 12. btw most people say get two twelves but if you ask any bass experts all you need is one. if you get two 12's and one amp then the amps power is divided in two. over all sweet.

Great Amp

This amp is a great all around amp. It's qite small so it can be mounted in many locations. It doesn't get too hot. It looks great. Birthsheet came in at 274 watts. Pushes my P2 8" at two ohms and sounds great. Poorted box tuned to 36 hz.
Only con I have is the finish of the amp. I do not know what the finish is but if sunlight ever hits it, it will eventually turn a copper orange color from the exposure.

Rockford Amp Running Perfectly

I use this product to power one 10" RF P2 subwoofer. It is a nicely matched setup. This amp has awesome features such as a remote gain nob. It never overheats, ever. It is compact and well built with a slick black finish. At night the blue leds light up my trunk. It has the right amount of power to produce awesome everyday sound, and enough to hit really really hard if you ask it too. Overall, perfect amp for a 16 year old on a budget.

Another great product from RF

It is a really good amp, like the title says, another great product from Rockford, I saw a couple of reviews made by a soniclectonix guy (not seth) and I decided to buy it, it feels really "well made", nice finish, power led is blue and it will illuminate the hole trunk, rated at 250 rms by Rockford but the birth sheet says the final output is 279 rms (certified by CEA2006) so this is great and delivers true power to your sub. It hits really hard and the knobs let you control crossover, gain and punch are very convenient. Overall, very good amp for beginners in car audio, this amp will not let you down. The only "not that good" thing a can say about it is that is not the cheapest amp around, but I guess that I you want high quality you have to pay extra for it

Excellent Product

Great little amp and an excellent value. I am running this to a single 10" Fosgate woofer in a vented box built to Fosgate's specifications. I have excellent bass response and the wired remote is great for controlling the level or when the wife is in the truck. No issues with overheating, in fact, no issues at all. I definitely recommend this amp.

This amp is Thor in the box for my fosgate sub.
i use the am for sub only while having to custom build 2 separate wiring looms for it to run off Qre5 this amp ravishes my sub. The expedition has large air space the 3cubic rear mid section custom armrest-box thumps the hell out of anyone in truck! The amp survived 100-110 heated days here in Dallas NEVER shut down yet, got so hot at times could not touch it. looks like fosgate has done it again Thanks for a Super ear pleaser guys makes for great Message also it hits really hard.

Bumps

This lil guy is legit, 6 months hasn't blown my sub but sure can pound when I turn it up. I've got it hooked up to a 2.5 farad capacitor and 1 10" inch pioneer ported box, thats all you need cuz you will be heard.

Great Deal!

I've installed a few of these as packages at my shop on 2 Prime 10's or 12's, and for the cost it does the job. Of course, the Punch 300 would be better but for the budget conscious, this is the way to go. There is not a better quality mono amp in this price range.

these are great subs

These subs work great, I'm not an expert on sound systems but i use a rockford 500 watt mono amp with these and it sounds perfect in my Mazda 3, I have the gain only a third of the way up and that is plenty of bass for me so I'm happy and pleased with the sound that comes out of these

Rockford Fosgate PRIME R250-1

This amp sucks. It lasted 4 months then blew up. After it fizzled out, it started draining the battery. I had it mounted in the cab of my truck, and had plenty of air flow around it, and it still ran hot.

Best Bang for the buck

I've had subs from Jl W7 to Rockford T2 to Alpine Type R's. The sound quality of these subs are amazing. They bang for 10s without sacrificing trunk space. Got this thing in a e46 M3. Trunk is really small. Definitely worth it.

I put these in a 08 mustang. Sound is awesome, good clean bass. What I did was break open the box and wire the subs separately, I am using a 4 channel amp bridged into two channels. Running about 150rms each(jvc amp) shaker 500 headunit .

Using this to drive Infinity Ref. 860w SVC in sealed cabinet. Want SQ not thump and this amp is @ 75% and will rattle car. On HU running amp @ +3 and it is plenty, there is a lot of headroom. This amp is great for what I need and has plenty of power.

Can't beat the Bang for the buck!

This purchase totally surpassed my expectations. This by no means was meant to be a high end sub box but it is a great value. It can provide more than enough Boom for your needs. This was not meant to be heard around the block, but my wife can hear me when I'm driving up to the house. I have had no issues with this box. I love it, and so does my wife and kids.

10 inch woofers

These are some very good sounding speakers. I have them my 1999 3.5 R.L. These subs really enhance my bose system.

awesome amp

I got this powering a 10inch rockford in a fiberglass box. The amp powers it perfectly. As long as the amp is tuned properly it will sound amazing.
