Glad I figured out that I needed this additional piece in order to get the antenna to work. Older models didn't need this piece, but I guess someone needs to make extra money from consumers.

Great Product

It did its job for what its intended for. My only complaint that it is for the Nissan versa, but when I put it in my versa, there was no wire for the dimmer switch. So I had to tap into the cars wires, which I didn't care to do so I bought this. But that's the only wire, so I cant really complain. Did what it was intended to do.

I would highly recomend this for installing an aftermarket head unit. This made instalation easy and gave a professional look. Just splice the wires from headunit connector to the wires on this connector, plug into factory vehicle connector and you are ready to go. The color coded wires make it easy to identify and properly pair wires. I couldn't be happier with this connector.

Quality product.

Installation took a couple of hours as I used insulated butt connectors on all my wires to eliminate voltage drops in my installation. The wires were matching my factory connector with two extra which I cut off. The pinout was correct, this wiring harness allows you to retain your factory connector without wire taping any factory wires allowing you keep the factory connector fully intact. I was able to perform an excellent installation with the help of this harness. I recommend using crimped butt connectors to install your system to avoid any problems.

I had my HU professionally installed, though I used to be an installer, I decided to let a local shop do all my installations. Since I didn't install this unit, I can't really review it, but the kit fits well and looks nice in my Nissan Versa. My only complaint is that the flip down button on my Alpine HU is a bit hard to push because the radio is recessed a bit into the dash kit. It may be possible to insert an extension plate to allow the radio to extend outward a bit more. This is not likely an issue with all radios, but something I felt should be pointed out. Overall I have to recommend it since it fits my application.

Overall Good Product

This is an overall great product, but on songs at low volume you can hear a slight winding noise when playing a CD or DVD. I didn't notice to slight winding noise during listening to the radio. I changed CD's and DVD's but the slight winding noise was still there. I think this is a defect in the item and should be corrected. It was not a ground issues, because I turned off my car engine and still herd the same winding noise the speakers of the car. This is the only problem I found with this product.

Bang for your buck

I bought this radio because it had pretty good reviews online and the price was pretty reasonable. The reviews i read about it were pretty accurate. Its a great radio for the price. The touch screen isn't as sensitive as i would like for it to be and some functions are harder to navigate back and forward to, but the picture quality is great, the sound is awesome, and its loaded with features. The navigation is a little slow so if you are in a rush use your phone or stand alone unit, but other than that its just fine. The Mirror Link feature is awesome but causes your phone to do strange things including constantly dimming the phone and it only works when connected via USB. If they would increase the sensitivity and tweek the mirror link it would be a steal. I would recommend this to all those looking for a good radio for a price.

Nice set up, but you have to flip the screen up just to get to the saved stations, and you can't listen to the music while using the GPS

I love this stereo! With the built in bluetooth & navigation it meets all my needs and then some! The integrated mic is weak & picks up a lot of road noise in my Mustang Convertible, but the supplied remote mic is awesome. My only complaint is that when I have the Bluetooth turned on it automatically starts playing my ring tones and not my music, I solved this by only turning it on after the radio comes on. Easy to install instructions & quick setup. I might get another one for my truck once I'm done replacing speakers in my car. Thanks Sonic for a great buy!!!
