Disappointed

I purchased these Aerial7 Eclipse because, the meditation/binaural beats music program I own demanded a 5 Hz low frequency, which these have. The music sounds muffled and when listening to any genre of music, the quality sound is not there. The material is cheap, the top of the headphone is a cheap vynil and underneath is cloth, the ear pillows are ok, I'm mot sure if they're leather or vynil. I ended up buying the high end Denon AH-D7100 which are 8 times more expensive but, I get the low 5 Hz frequency needed and the high 45,000 Hz for everything else, which covers all music genre. The Aerial7 Eclipse have 5-20,000 Hz not enough quality sound; for a better sound go with another pair.

Overall good build quality, sound is pretty solid

I am upgrading from a pair of JVC headphones, the harx700 i think, which were pretty good. the sound on these I think has better bass for sure, but the mids and highs sound about the same. I just wanted something fairly inexpensive, that I could use while I practice or am DJ for little family events. I want to get a really nice pair, I had my eye on the AKGs, but I was not quite prepared to spend $300, nor do I think my frequency of DJing justifies it. Soon hopefully, but for now these to the job pretty well. The biggest advantage of these is the swivelling and monitoring. I didnt even see it advertised as such, but they really are great for that. They can rotate in just about any position, and comfortably too! I can lift one of the ear cups up, and hear what everyone else is hearing no problem. I didnt feel the same about most of the other pairs that I have tried, but now I know what ill look for. That is my favorite part. They are generously padded on the headband and earpads too. not too bad.
