Awesome

I bought this to install a Rockford Fosgate 500 amp with a 10 inch sub woofer in her car. It was a perfect match for this set up. Best in quality and I would definitely recommend others to buy this set. Great for use with smaller amp, if you don't need another gauge size.
Thanks to SonicElectronix for always helping out figuring out what to choose, fast shipping and awesome service.

Worked better than expected

I purchased this wiring kit for my first system. It is rated at a 1000 watts and i had it running a 1200 watt amp. i still have it. i have used it in two cars and it fit them both perfectly. I like that you can run a pritty good sized amp with resonably small wires. I used them in a 2000 accord ex and a 2000 civic ex and hooked it up to the fuse box instead of the battery and it worked fine.

wiring not sized as advertised

The gauge wiring for this kit isn't close to 8 gauge. The 8 for power and ground are the same as my high quality 12 gauge SPEAKER wire. The 12 gauge speaker wire in the kit is close to my 16 gauge cheap wire. Whoever makes this is using deceptive marketing as they are putting really thick jackets on the wiring and calling it 8 gauge.

You get what you pay for I guess.

Needs better fuse/ fuse holder

Wrote a review back in April giving this kit rave reviews... still a decent kit considering the price but just lost power to my sub today. When I checked the wiring out, the fuse holder is COMPLETELY MELTED on the back end!!! The wiring (which was my concern in the beginning) has held up just fine... The kit just needs a higher qualty fuse/holder...

gets the job done

Was looking for a cheap alternative to wire up a sub and amp, this fit the bill-not the greatest construction, but does the job at a good price.

Pretty good for the $$$

Not the highest quality kit obviously, but good stuff for the price. Everything you need to power an amp. Not really sure about the whole claim that it can power a 1000 watt amp... I would definitely go with a 4 guage kit for something that size. But I only have 1 12" Rockford p1 (150w rms, 300w max).... enough for some good sound inside the truck without pissin' off the neighbors or the cops outside the truck. (they're real pricks with that noise pollution bull crap.) Accurate description, easy set up, delivery was a bit slow (7 business days), but for free shipping from Cali to Delaware (all the way on the East Coast), I guess there's not really much room to complain. All in all I was very pleased.

You get what you pay for

For the money it was a pretty decent kit. Overall plenty of length and the wire was pretty decent quality.

worst amp kit ever

worst amp kit I have ever bought. positive and ground wire was ok, the remote wire was extremely cheap and the rcas didn't work. i had to replace half the amp kit. would not recommend for anyone to buy. spend a little more money and get a better kit

No!

Do not buy this wiring kit. Cheap materials = poor connections and performance. There are much better options for a little more money. IMO.

Good enough for the price

I got this kit to add a amp/sub combo to my wife's car about a year ago and it is still holding up. Just running one amp which is a Kicker 150.2 that is bridged to a single 12" sub, the amp puts out about 200 watts rms and this power wire carries sufficient current to the amp. I do agree with everyone else, that it is not "true" 8 guage wire yet it is also not a "true" 8 guage price either. The RCA cables are fine, the speaker wire is decent, but the remote wire is very weak and will even break if you pull very hard on it, so definitely be careful with the remote wire or get some stronger wire for sure. The fuse holder is pretty standard as a low end fuse holder and works as advertised. Definitely adequate for a one amp setup, wouldn't push it much past that though.

pretty good kit

For such a low price, this kit passed my expectations. I was expecting to have to buy more wire and some better speaker wire but this did the trick! Thanks Sonic!

I own one. Comes with everything easy to install. Very durable and great for the price. I would recommend it if you are on a budget then this is the kit for you.

Cant beat the price

I have installed many systems with this cable and for the price you cannot beat it for low wattage systems. If you are running high power amps or multiple amps you need larger/higher quality cable. however for adding one small sub to a system you cannot beat $15 ANYWHERE.

junk

Like others said, not even CLOSE to 8 gauge wire. Close to 12. About the only good thing in this kit is the fuse holder.
