Alphasonik Mayhem

Great sub and it's very loud but it didn't last very long though and if you played it hard you could smell the voice coil burning all the time. I only had about 1800 watts going to it with about 8v of line drive.

I wouldn't purchase another one being that the frequency response isn't very low and it burned up pretty quick.

I don't know what other reviewer was talking about.

I have 2 of the PSW912 (and I have owned them for over a year now). I think the other reviewer was probably either under powering them or simply abusing them...not to say I don't put them through torture, but these things are insane. I have 2 Alphasonik PMA1200DA, 1 connected to each at 1 ohm each amp and I get compliments all the time. The bass is unbearable at full volume (it's that loud) and if I go to the golf course with it up even at 50% they complain inside the clubhouse about it.

OMG WOW!!!

I have owned this sub for over a year now, in a tuned ported box built to spec. I am powering the sub at 1ohm 3200 watts and it eats it like candy. I will attempt to put more power to it next week. There has been no burning smell of the voice coil and it definitely hits every note. Thank you Sonic Electronix for the awesome investment.

Great Value! BEST SUB I HAVE EVER OWNED BY BRAND!!!

Best sub ever owned I have been bumping this on 1800rms amp @ 1 ohm no voice coil smell unless you clip the subwoofer I have a clip meter on my amp so when it struggles to get drive line that isn't there it shows me so I can turn it down till I upgrade to H/O alternator 200amp to make clean power these do take more than 1800 RMS if you provide a clean signal at 14.4 volts if not amp will distort and clip and voice coils on any sub burn up! I I own two of these subs only need one.

LOUD

I have one in the recommended Cu size sealed enclosure. Running a Power Acoustik lfa1 5500d class mono block with 1/0 gauge wire and a 1.2 farad capacitor. This thing hits so hard for one 12 it will blow your mind. Owned for about 1 week now with no issues so far. it handles every bit of the recommended 2200 rms. I figure I'm pushin just about that at 1 ohm from the amp

PSW 912 Review

I own 1 of these woofers in a nicely tuned ported enclosure. I am running a Soundstream Tarantula 2000D to it and its not bad. I'm not ecstatic with its performance for the specs it gives. I can always smell the fragrant aroma of burning voice coils in the air, and truthfully have already started the search for its replacement. I have only ran this woofer for 1 summer. If your operating on a low budget, this might be a good woofer for you. If you got the money to splurge, do the research and invest in something better, thats what I am doing. Amplifiers and all are going to be changed back to my old school RF Power series amps (1100a2/800a4). They just don't build em like they used to.

alphasonic bangs

For those seeking big bass on a low budget these are the sub compared to big named brand like Kicker Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, and MTX there's no one who will deliver such a bang for the buck great sub all around very powerful when combined with a good amp like the alpine 2000rm

awesome

For the price well worth sub I have it being pushed by JL audio 500/1 and its only one of these subs planning on getting another since well satisfied. If u love bass and on a budget would highly recommend. Bass is terrific in my opinion some brand names don't do this great sound

Excellent choice

I have a pair of these subs installed in my car for almost 2 years now and they really worth the investment. They hit very hard and nice. I receive a lot of compliments all the time. They are very loud and shakers. I recommend these subs 100%. I am purchasing another pair of these subs this week, for my 2nd car.
