Excellent!

The following review is for a previous version (CDE-151).

It's an excellent car stereo, the sound quality is great! the look is great! the features are great! There might be complications when you try to reach the menus, nothing too much complicated do!

Great head unit

The following review is for a previous version (CDE-151).

I recently installed this head unit in my car. I just wnted something to get me by until I had the money to get a better head unit, but I must say, for the price and the features this head unit has, I am not disappointed. I have only bought ALpine head units for my vehicles in the past ten years and I will never buy any other bran..... period. I would recommend this head unit to anyone for the price and features.

Alpine CDE-170 Advanced CD Receiver

This head unit is high quality. And sounds very clear. It replaced a Alpine CDE 9843 CD receiver. When you order pay close attention, I got what I ordered, but I thought it was BT. Checking out the numbers I realized that I neglected to add the BT to the end of model number. It does have USB and a AUX+ CD. I AM very happy with it.

Incredible

The following review is for a previous version (CDE-151).

This not only looks wonderful but sounds wonderful too! Has tons of amazing features like the bass system that lets you control exactly how you want the bass to be if you have a system. Also makes my speakers hit the highs way nicer than the stock stereo. Overall its the best cd player I have owned and I have owned a couple alpines, JVC, sony, pioneer, This one is really nice

Great Basic Head Unit!

I would recommend the Alpine CDE-170 for replacement of factory unit as most car manufacturers stereos are far less superior. I have owned other aftermarket brands, but so far I am more pleased with Alpine. The only con is display is hard to read especially with poor vision.

Got to love Alpine!

The following review is for a previous version (CDE-151).

I have always went with a Alpine, you just can't go wrong going with one! Before installing mine I had it on the kitchen table where my brother decided to set his jet ski battery, well long story short it leaked and of course my brand new alpine was sitting in battery acid but to my surprise it still worked like new when installed. WOW!!! YEP AND IS STILL WORKING TO THIS DAY. Love my Alpine.

Everything I wanted

The following review is for a previous version (CDE-151).

I needed a new car stereo for my wife's Kia. I chose this one for the price and features. It's easy to switch between different audio inputs and was also easy to install. I don't really care though for the red back lights. Wish there was a choice on that but a solid stereo none the less.
