Nice upgrade from factory sub
Very easy installation, plug & play. No cutting Tesla wiring at all. Alpine has a step by step YouTube video with a Model 3 but the Model Y does have some minor differences. Still straight forward regardless, just needed to be creative on amp location vs. Alpines choice on the Model 3.
I was surprised by the output no doubt. Sounds great. I adjusted the gains down a little on both the line out converter and the Alpine amp to dial it in to my liking. They came new out of the box at 50% settings.
Definitely add some sound deadening around the cavity the sub is located as well as behind the Tesla license plate holder.
The daily commutes will be more enjoyable now for sure. ????
