Purchased the MRV-M1200 Alpine amp which already comes with the previous version of the Rux Knob but figured I'd give this one a try. Best part is the larger db adjustment range with this 2.0 version.

A Crazy Versatile Amp with surprising Power

Ill start with explaining why I went with this Amp. I have a 1998 Volvo S70 T5 with every option and that includes the Dolby Surround System. That system was designed as 8 Ohm. So I made the decision that I would be completely rewiring the car and removing the factory Amp. The car has a Center Speaker, 2 6.5's with dash tweeters, 2 rear door speakers that are also 6.5's and 2 8" speakers on the deck. The car is loaded with speaker locations and that left me with the need to find an Amp that can power all of this. Enter the R-A90S, With the staggered power on channels 5&6 it was the perfect opportunity to install Alpine 6x9's on the deck to replace the OEM 8" speakers. The only exception is I am running the center channel off the deck itself. Regardless this amp does a great job of giving adequate power to all the speakers. Also this Amp is putting out a health amount of power above what was advertised. Even the included Birth sheet shows their test results on the amp you receive. My amp was putting out almost 15% more power than the guaranteed values.

Bottom line is that if you are looking for an amp to power a non standard setup this Amp allows you to get creative with your install. Its fantastic! 10/10

Easy install

Easy installation and works as expected. Disassembles easily for flush mount behind dash, which makes for a very clean install. Just plug it in and it works. It definitely has the dead spot as mentioned on other reviews, but was expecting that. Rux-knob.2 has a higher db adjustment as compared to the original model (20db vs 12db). Worth having installed on your system!
