Purchased the MRV-M1200 Alpine amp which already comes with the previous version of the Rux Knob but figured I'd give this one a try. Best part is the larger db adjustment range with this 2.0 version.

Easy install

Easy installation and works as expected. Disassembles easily for flush mount behind dash, which makes for a very clean install. Just plug it in and it works. It definitely has the dead spot as mentioned on other reviews, but was expecting that. Rux-knob.2 has a higher db adjustment as compared to the original model (20db vs 12db). Worth having installed on your system!

Good entry level amplifier

This amp is basic when it comes to features, but outstanding when it comes to sound. I push mine pretty hard at 2ohm powering an older type R 10 inch in a ported enclosure that can handle up to 1000rms of power. It slams pretty hard, makes the sub really move, and provides a clean, punchy sound. Barely warms up pushing the power-hungry type R. If you powered 2 lower RMS subs with this amp like the Type S, you will have enough bass to rattle your trunk and mirrors with ease. I purchased the RUX-Knob with mine. Which I think is a must-have.

being my first alpine amp, this has met my expectations and more. even though the amp's test card said 851 watts like several others I've seen on the net, which leads me to believe it may be generic although hand written, it seems to pack quite a punch. this amp has most of the features that you'd find in more expensive units. although it lacks high level speaker inputs it didn't bother me as I needed a line out converter anyway. I paired this with the infinity primus 1270b loaded enclosure and it has more than enough power to push it. my factory stereo was missing some hard hitting bass and the combo I chose definitely has me wanting to go places just to jam out. I'm considering getting another set for my other vehicle as well.
