great little remote!

I love this remote! Since it uses 2 AA batteries, it fits great in your hand. There's something to hold on to, making thumb navigation a breeze. Unlike the Pioneer remotes.
I never felt like I'd drop it while driving. A great feature while driving. Most stereo functions are accessible, so I haven't felt like it's too basic.

It is a good remote ,only wish the range was greater though,would recommend the buy.

Does the job

This remote works just fine in my vehicle, put in the batteries and it works from the start. It even reaches from outside the vehicle when you are standing outside and want to adjust the volume/station at the gas pump. The range is "just right" - any less and it wouldn't work well, any more and people in other cars with the same remote could affect your radio (I've seen this with other non-Alpine radios, rare but annoying). The remote is basic controls only, so no sound processing or station programming unless you use the head unit. Fits well in the hand, 2 AAs mean that it lasts for a decent amount of time before replacing batteries unlike the ones that work on watch batteries. Great addition to my system but I won't let anyone in the back seat use it while I'm driving - it's all mine!

Great Remote

Great little remote for the money! I enjoy not having to rub the paint off the buttons on my HU. Very durable, Ive dropped it out of my lifted truck countless time and it hasn't quit working yet so it gets 5 stars in the category.
I only have 2 cons. First one is SQ settings (besides Volume) I would have liked to be able to control my subwoofer level and tweak other SQ settings from it. Second is the distance in which the remote works, maybe only about 12 feet or so.
But it is definitely worth the money, especially at SonicElectronix.com

a remote is necessary for on the road driving. I memorized where the positioning of the buttons are on this remote and use it on the daily!

I didn’t have my player listed when purchased & it works on Alpine cde-164bt player. Mainly use only for volume or track skip. Useful when hanging out with friends at the beach playing some tunes & having a few drinks.
