loud and clear

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-619).

Well to start i got an alpine cde-122 head unit, one of those alpine ktp-445 plug and play amps, and four alpine sps-619 6x9 speakers. It super clear and very loud. I catch myself sayin what alot, but there is no bass to these speakers. Messed with all the settings a thousand times. So if you have or going to get some subs or sub then get these speakers, you wont be dissapointed. Alpine makes good stuff. I am now getting a sub for some bass in the car.

Great Buy!

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-619).

Just installed these speakers in my car and WOW! I was very impressed on how well they handled bass. There was no distortion what so ever. I would recommend these to anybody that wants awsome speakers for a great buy.

GOOD SOUND. GOOD PRICE.

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-619).

Have these in 2 different vehicles. One car is using an Alpine 4 channel x 50watt amp to power them and the other car is using a factory head unit. The one with the factory head unit powering it sounds better than I thought it would for such little power a stock head unit has to offer. The ones in the other car being powered by the alpine amp sounds crystal clear even at louder volumes. The sound is very controlled while not being distorted. Alpine has been around for a good while and now days appear to be a really good value! Great job Alpine and Sonic Electronics!

Excellent Sound

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-619).

Upgraded to these from factory speakers. Definitely can tell difference. Don't even have them hooked up to amp yet. Can't wait to here how it sounds with amp.

Great Speakers for the price

My car had 8" speakers on the deck, since I am using a 6 Channel amplified system I wanted to upgrade the 8's to the best thing I could. I was able to modify the factory brackets to house the S-Series Alpine 6x9's. Am I ever glad I did because these speakers sound great. I used to be a Alpine R-Line die hard. But if you are looking for a really nice quality speaker that wont be aggressively used these S-Series speakers are great! I'm very happy, 5/5!

Great Value For Your Money !!!

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-69C3).

I bought a set of these from the local Alpine retailer paid $200 for the set wish i would have found them here, these speakers are really clear and can take quite a beating, I have them installed in my 98 eclipse and even after a year i've had no problems. i managed to break off the dome tweeters by accident and it still sounds awesome.

Good speakers if you have a low wattage amplifier.

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-619).

These speakers are rated at 85 watts. I replaced my Alpine amp rated at 50 watts per channel with Kicker amp that runs at 75 watts per channel and the speakers cannot handle the increased power and I now have to replace them. Overall, a good speaker provided you have a low wattage amp.

Good Speakers.

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-69C3).

they were a huge improvement in sound quality compared to the stock pioneer speakers in my mazda 626 which were pretty good. The main difference here is the sound quality. It brought out sounds with better clarity and fuller range, due to the tweeters. you might want to purchase an amp though to really bring out depth of the bass that these speakers can produce. it does work fine with a stock headunit though.

These midranges suffice

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-69C3).

The price is great for this product. These produce crisp sound with the combine tweeter and it allows for a certain amount of rumble that is enjoyable, not loud, won't piss off the car next to you and still lets you enjoy great music. I currently own these plus the 3.5 s-types and I would have to say, great gift to someone who enjoys listening to music, but isnt that serious about car audio systems.

A1 Sound

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-609).

I would refer this item to anyone who want their highs n mids to sound like a concert. However, they do has to be amplified because the powerful your 4 channel amp; is the louder it screams.

Tremendous Difference

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-609).

I put these speakers in the front doors of a 2005 Quad Cab Dodge Diesel. What a tremendous difference over stock. They are powered by a hifonics amp. The lows are very strong and the highs are even better. Very pleased for a coaxial speaker. With the price and value these are hard to beat.

Very Nice!

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-609).

I replaced my rear deck Blaupunkts with these Alpines, and the sound is great. Nice crisp highs and kicking lows. And what a value! I saved about $40 off the local retail prices, and also got free shipping. I would definitely recommend these speakers!

Goog!

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-609).

Had these in my rear deck and they provided a warmer sound than my previous Infinity Kappa 6x9 speakers. However, the mids were not as clear and at times sounded muddy. For the price, a really nice set of 6x9's.

Best bang for the buck

The following review is for a previous version (SPS-609).

I wanted to try something different than these Aplines. Not to dog on them in any way but I just wanted to try something different. Well after listening to some other speakers I decided to get these. The range of highs and mids are great, I actually cant believe how high the highs really are. When someone asks me about speakers strait up I say Alpine type S all the way.
