Crisp & full, Alpine Air

The Apline SPS-510 speakers fit perfectly in a small space, were easy to install and sounded better rounded that the Kicker's that they replaced. For a small speaker they put out a big sound that perfectly compliments my Alpine head unit, I was especially pleased with the full mids & crisp highs.

My only complaint is that Alpine should have used a metal frame, one of the plastic mounting spikes cracked when I was installing it. Alpine lauds the plastic frame as an improvement - oh really... Otherwise it was a great purchase and suited my needs.

Purchased the entire alpine package. Head unit, amp and speakers. Couldn't be happier with the quality and the sound.

OK Speaker

Can't handle much power. Sounds great at lower volume/power, distorts easily at higher volume/power.

Great quality and value for price

Bought 2 for aftermarket speakers on my Jeep Cherokee, very pleased. Very clear sounding speakers, great treble and good enough mids. Fair bass improvement over the stock 5-1/4" speakers. Got mine when they were in the 50 dollar range however. Might recommend an amp if your thinking about going crazy with the loudness. Overall great upgrade for stock 5-1/4" speakers.

Awesome Speakers

I bought these to replace the factory speakers in my 92 jeep cherokee and wow are they great. They have a great response for only being they type-s series.

Excellent Speaker

I 've had these Speakers before, this is a Replacement set. Why Change something that's good? All of my Speakers are Kenwoods I wouldn't Change a thing. Excellent!

Wouldnt consider any other speaker

Awesome Speakers!

I bought theses speakers with confidence, because made by Alpine, and these speakers sounded way better than expected. For only 5 1/4" speakers, they have pretty good bass as well

Pros - Very clear sounding with great highs, awesome mids and good lows
- Great price for what you get
- Replaced my Infinity speakers

Cons- Absolutely none!

Great Value and Quality

Great speakers put in my girlfriend's Honda Civic. Speakers have clear crisp sound for the price. Delivery was great as well. I would say to anyone that ask that they would be wasting money on anything else.

Great sounding speaker

I bought this as an add-on to the front dash of my 03 Dodge caravan where there were previously no speakers. Man am I glad I had that idea. These little speakers sound great. They've got good bass (even though the bass is not an issue in the van due to Alpine type r subwoofer) and they cover the highs pretty well too. Probably gonna throw another set of them in my doors next.

Very good premium speaker's LOUD............!!

I got these speaker's and im pushing them with a kenwood KDC-X991 deck and man alive (CRISP) and (CLEAN) and also perfect match cus that deck let's you sound stage your system......so yea im geting a set of component's......they are EVEN BETTER....can't wait but get alpine speaker's if you want TRUE (CLARITY)......The best ive HER"D......and don't go above 60rms if your just gonna run the speaker's off of a head unit....other wize you havtta AMP them 2 get a clear sound and wile there up as loud as you can go.....i went with 50rms limit for me and my alpine speaker's work fine....well get them you will love every penny of them get ALPINE.!!!!

Great Speakers

The range on these speakers are great. I got a pair for the back of my Volvo 240 wagon and while there were spacing issues, this is a problem of fitting speakers too big for the back doors but was correctly fixed with adding spacing to the mounts. (not a speaker related problem at all)

The sound is loud and they seem to be very warm. I am thoroughly impressed and my passengers have no issues with the sound as well.

They are very clear! They don't distort at high volume! and they have enough bass to not need a sub woofer and enough treble to not need tweeters! Best speaker I've ever owned!

Heard Better

The type S speakers are nice but for just a little more money you can have something much nicer. They are in the range that you can't run them very well off of a stock head unit and most decent aftermarket units will over power them. They sound decent but good for what you pay for them.

Great Coaxial Speakers

I installed these in my Volvo S70. They sound really great for a smaller speaker. I would recommend them to anyone who want a quality speaker and a semi reasonable price! 10/10!

I wanted a good set of door speakers for my civic without breaking the bank and I think these Alpine speakers are quite nice and do a great job. These small speakers can blast the sound. I installed the speakers in the summer of '08 and have had them for about 6 months now and they have not given me any trouble & still sound as good as when I put them in. For the price, I think Sonic Electronix has unbeatable prices!

This product is an excellent price for quality sound. All around these puppies will put out crisp hi hats, melodies, and basses. The downplay would be putting a low HPF settings on them playing the bass tones more puts the speakers at risk of crackling if sound is too loud. Of course with subwoofers installed and these speakers set to only play higher frequencies it will put way less stress on the speakers them selves enabling higher volume rates as it only has to worry about higher frequencies and the subwoofers your lower frequencies. I usually have my speakers set to around 125 HPF setting with -12 as claps and hi hats seem to be louder with -24 modulation. Overall without subwoofers installed I am very happy and satisfied with the performance of these speakers alone.
