These speakers sound great. Simple as that. My friend has these up front and the type r 6x9s in the back of his 300zx, all running off an alpine amp. Probably the best sounding combination i've ever heard. Can't beat the sound quality for that price either. Highly recommend.

Excelent Sound Quality
The Alpine Type R's are some of the best sounding speakers i have heard. The crossover is simple and efffective,and the tweets sing like no other. The only drawback, is that these distort very easly at high power levels with any bass. Make sure you have an equilizer or some control over the bass going to these speakers. These are also the type-r components are the only speakers on the market that hav no center cap (they are completly rounded in the center of the cone),so they look sick!
