Love this sub for the money!

This sub is fantastic for the money, I like my 12" R's better, but they cost more and require more power. I would get this if I were you!

This sub HITS

I own two of these subs wired at 4 ohms each driven by its own Clarion XR2110 Mono amp. WOW what an awesome combination. They hit so hard. So hard in fact that the screw down terminals loosened and the wires fell out of the sub box. I had to Loctite them down. I totally recommend these subs. They are awesome.

Awesome Subwoofers

I bought two Alpine subwoofers 6 months ago and they still work great with no flaws whatsoever... nice clean and powerful bass, nice looking and sexy. I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone looking for more bass in their car!

Excellent low bass

I put a pair of these Alpine subwoofers in a very sturdy homemade vented (a.k.a. ported) enclosure built to Alpine's "optimum vented box" dimensions from the user's manual. They are both driven by a 600-watt Alpine mono amp. The bass is very powerful and clean to well below 30 Hz. I would definitely recommend these subwoofers.

NOT SO GREAT

i had these subs once before and there not as good as they might seem i guess for the price u pay its a decent sub but if your lookin for something that bumps hard look at the type R or X cause this thing doesn't satisfied very well even with a 1400 watt amp split between the two!

nice

These subs really surprised me for what I paid, in combination with a 300watt mono amp. They hit extremely hard and sound clear as day. I am completely happy with my purchase and will buy alpines for my next truck as well but maybe upgrade to type rs to run a bigger amp.

great subs

I have 2 of these and have had them for about 2 1/2 years now. I have them hooked up to an alpine mono amp in a sealed enclosure. I play them as loud as i can every day and they still deliver amazingly smooth yet extremely loud sound. I Will be getting these again.

Great all around sub

I'm running a single 10" type-s paired with an MTX4002 (400rms) in a sedan. The sub puts out a great range of bass. It's nothing that will rock the block (with one), but offers a great amount of bass for all music styles. I've had it for about 6 months now of some fairly heavy use and it's handled it all marvelously.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable all-around GREAT sounding sub.

Greats Subs...Especially For The Price!

I have 2 of these subs hooked up to a Kicker 10ZX400.1 Amp. They are in a MTX Thunderform Enclosure in my Supercab Ford Ranger. I am amazed with the sound quality, and couldn't be happier. I have always been a fan of Alpine products, but these are my first set of Alpine subs. They play all types of music extremely well.

Nice Sub

Well made sub and interested me because it was a little more shallow than others. Tucked in a box under the back seat in my F150 w/no problems.

Decent

For the price it is satisfactory. Good with High and mid bass, not so great with the lows.

Perfect

I have installed a pair of these in my element with a small apline mrx-m50 amp about 6 months ago and these subs still have the same great sound quality. They fill my car with great bass after properly tuned. These are perfect for open cabs for most suvs. These won't be rattling the glass of the houses you drive by but they make your car wobble. These sws are great for someone who wants a moderately priced sub and yet have power to them. Aplines are made to last and thats true to their reputation. Sonic Electronix did a great job shipping them to me with nothing damaged.

Totally Bit#%&@

When you can make the mirrors in an f350 shake or the passengers feel like they just stepped out of the message parlor, you definitely have something going good, like good ol' fashioned BASS that makes ya feel worm and tingly inside.
built my own box and stuck these bad betty's in my truck and for a super crew cab these just plain rock the block.....
go getchya a pair and put a smile on your face:-)

Really nice for a "budget" subwoofer

I really like this sub woofer, it is very well put together. It can hit hard and it is powered by compact class D putting out 500 watts rms. I have it tuned to put out 70 hz and below. Its frame and magnet structure is more conventional than its larger and more $$ big brothers but sound wise it is very good if you don't have the space or the budget for one of the Alpine big boys. I think it is a great investment.

Great "little" sub

I love this sub. I have a 96 Chevy 1500 standard cab truck. I had to build 2 custom boxes to go behind the seats and the only subs that I found to fit were these Alpines. Shallow mount depth, great power handling, flexible installation options with the dual voice coils, look great, and still hit hard and clear like a higher priced sub. I have a Boss Phantom PH2.800 amp pushing 260 watts RMS @4 ohms to each sub wired in series. Sounds great. Great buy for first sub or someone on a budget.
