If you get tired of listening to some of your CD's or MP3's then the radio is a great alternative. Though my receiver is a top of the line receiver (Alpine CDA-9887) its radio reception isn't the greatest. After upgrading to a HD radio, I was amazed with how crisp and clear every station was. Definitely something to look in to if you're tired of horrible reception with your receiver.
