Awesome sound quality

This isn't some random person writing a review. I have just received these speakers in the mail today I put both in separate enclosures for my house system and plugged into a 760w Sony Xplod 2 channel these speakers blew my mind with the quality of the sound if you need 6x9's grab these you won't be disappointed.

Very Good

I highly recommend these speakers. I bought these two way speakers instead of the components because I did not want to buy an amplifier just yet. I have these speakers connected to a JVC head unit. The sound is impeccably clear even at full volume. The mid bass and mid treble sounds great. The tone is just right, not too high or too low. I do think that you need to customize the equalizer to get the best sound from theses speakers. I know that they will sound even better if I install an amplifier, but they are already loud enough for me. In fact, I will probably be installing sound deadener to reduce some vibrations in the door panel.

These Alpine type R 6x9 speakers are awesome! I have often found people on forums bashing 6x9 designs. If you put them in boxes they make amazing mid bass speakers. I replaced 2 Alpine type R 6.5in speakers that were mounted in stock position with a pair of these 6x9's which I mounted in individual boxes just over 1 cu ft inside volume and they filled out my sound stage wonderfully. Clean and loud, great speakers for price. Includes a nice looking grill too. I would suggest these speakers to anyone looking to fill out their sound stage, put em in a box and they hit mid bass perfectly. And as always great prices and fast shipping from sonic.

Type r 6x9

Had a pair of these in my dodge ram quad cab front doors with type r 6.5's in the back doors, ram off of a rockford fosgate t400.4, worked great for awhile then blew after about 3 weeks, the 6.5's are still working great. Don't understand it but hey, what can you do, it's car audio!

FANTASTIC Speaker

I used these as a replacement for the factory 6x9s in the front doors of my Chrysler 300. I wanted solid bass, as Im currently running sub-less, but also wanted good vocal tones and smooth highs, as well as a speaker that can handle the 100 rms my reliable Soundstream VanGogh 400.2 pushes out. I was not disappointed. While not the Dynaudio speakers I've been use to in my previous vehicles, these are the BEST sounding 6x9s I've ever played with.

wow!! huge difference!

I installed these in my 99 dodge RAM 2500. I have them powered up with a 100 watt RMS amp. I was blown away how good they sound. The highs are real crisp, and the woofers don't distort!! Even turning up the volume up to 80% there is still no distortion!!! I set my truck up for sound quality and I impress everyone with how good it sounds!! Don't get me wrong, these are not full on sound stage speakers but for daily driving these are off the charts! Thanks Sonic for providing a great product at an affordable price.

Good sound

I really like the sound of these. Installed them in a coupe, and they are great. High- and mid tones are good, and when i disconnect my sub, these speakers make it sound like I still have a sub...Which means they are great at lows also :) Building quality seems good.

Worth every penny, and more

I put these in the front doors of my 09 Jeep grand cherokee amplified by a kicker zx-350. Factory speakers were strictly midbass. When I had the factory amp the crossovers protected the tweeters until i was able to add full range signal to them. They hit like subs before and now they are wide awake and i absolutely love them. clean and clear and able to handle everything i have thrown at them without distorting. save your headache, buy these the first time and know you did the right thing.

QUALITY!

I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about sound. With the proper deck (Alpine of course) and an amp your system will come to life. With crisp precise mids and smooth but bright tweets it's a great addition to the three way Kappas. I'm into clean sound and Alpine has done it again. Thanks Sonic!

Great Sound

These speakers ended up being a great choice. They have excellent all around sound including great Bass response. We have had no trouble with speakers at all.

Some of the best 6x9 speakers availalbe

Great speakers for where you need shallow depth 6x9 speakers. I used them in the front doors of a Toyota Tacoma and drive them will Clarion electronics. Fantastic bass output. Almost as good as the Pioneer 6x9 A Series for bass. I believe the Pioneer 6x9 TS-A6995R have the best bass available from a 6x9 speaker. These Alpines are great too plus they have very clean midrange and highs. Highly recommended speaker and great prices from Sonic Electronix.

Excellent speakers!

Spend a little more on these and you won't be disappointed . I have them on a 1000 watt amp with 4x6 alpine sin front. Bass is amazing. Clarity is awesome. Worth every penny.

Great Speakers

I purchased these as a upgrade to my factory pioneer 6x9's and they are great!!
I have the Alpine PDX-F4 4 channel amp 100x4 and these speakers are loud!!!
I have the Alpine SPR-60C components for the fronts and together these pairs are a perfect combination.
CLEAR and LOUD!!!
And inexpensive!!
I also have 2 10 inch Alpine Type R's with a mono amp 500watts. I love my Alpine!!

Excellent Value

These suckers pound! Running them with 300W JBL amp seems to be enough power to drive them. I do have a low end amp am sure they would sound even better with high end amp.

Alpine Type R 6x9s

These things crank! I am blown away by how crisp these are. They play crisp low or at full volume. I am giving them 150 watts each and they seem to hold up pretty good. The mid bass will make your jaw drop from these speakers. I was skeptical at first because of them being 2 way speakers but they produce a wide spectrum of frequencies. I have them crossed over at 63 hertz and I never hear any distortion or cracking out of them. Great set for the price. I can't think of any cons really except for the fact that they do not come with any terminals and the negatives require those 1/8 inch spades. I assumed they came with speakers and had trouble finding them locally.

Unbelievable!!!

This is the best 6x9 I have ever heard. I have turned the crossover on my subwoofer down because they have such great bass. I have the Type R's running off of an amp with 75RMS output to each. Highly recommend the Type R's to anyone. You will not be disappointed!

Nice 6x9s

They sound very good and give good bass. They would sound much better off an external ampilfer. Installing was a pain in my 95 Buick but that is not Alpines fault. Overall good speaker.

Best 6x9's for the price!

I put these in my doors, and back panels in my 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. Easy self installation, fits perfectly with no modding or brackets needed. The sound quality is amazing for not being amplified. I would take these all day everyday!

Awesome speakers

Produce crisp highs and big bass. These things can handle a lot. Fits nicely in stock locations also. No protruding tweeters and small magnet makes for clean look.

2012 RAM Regular Cab

Fits perfectly in the front doors with absolutely no modifications. Almost the exact same size and depth as the stockers. Sounds amazing; tremendous bass and great mids/highs. Definitely a must have for anyone with a 2012 RAM

alpine greatness

i own apair of these along with 5 1/4 components and they get the job done i was powering them off of my head unit until my new amp came yesterday they sounded good off of head unit power but with my amp a hifonics glx 100.4 they scream loud and clear this is another great speaker by alpine

These speakers are amazing! If you are looking for loud clear quality sound, consider these speakers. I had limited installation space so I took a chance. I could not find many reviews to help me make my decision. It amazes me that these speakers magnets are so small allowing them to be installed almost anywhere. Normally the bigger the magnet the louder the speaker, well alpine's technology is very impressive. The only thing is if you don't have an amp you will need one. I am running about 100 watts to them and they take the power well. Without an amp, these speakers will starve for power.

alpine never fails

Sonic prices are great these speakers are hands down some of the best on the market. Bass is nice and no distortion whatsoever. I have the hifonics glx 100.4 and they get down along with alpine type r components. Amp and components were purchased from Sonic, will be getting all my car stereo needs here. Best prices and acurate service.

This speakers kick hard

I bought this to replace my pioneers, and they are worlds apart, this sounds much better, wont distort the sound and they have some serious bass for their size.

The lack of leads are the only downsize.

So i replaced some audiopipe 3 ways with these and a set of the alpine sps 1005 tweets... They are running off the ktp 445 amp and im just saying... WOW!!!!! Not only was the spr 69's magnet half the weight and size of the audiopipe's, but the alpines also pushed out more and clearer bass.. Along with an amazing increase in quality.. i would definitely recomend!!!!

Great speakers

These are some really good speakers stand alone, but once you add a amp these speakers really sing. I have these in the rear deck of my 06 Honda accord with a Pioneer amp for power. You get more then what you pay for.

Great Sound!

I couldn't be happier with these speakers. I have a 2004 Toyota Camry and although the installation had to be rigged, the speakers fit and were easy to install. Aside from having to modify and rig an attachment for the speakers to be solidly fitted, these speakers sound incredible. I don't have an amp, and with the age of the car, I will likely not install one; but

Alpine SPR-69

I installed Alpine SPR-69 speakers in my 2015 Nissan Frontier. The speakers are fantastic - good base, crisp highs, and good definition in mid-range. The difference in sound quality over stock is beyond description. For the price, these speakers can't be beat. One other thing: Crutchfield is selling these speakers for $199.99; I bought them for $119 at Sonic - good deal!

Good sound I don't send them any low bass. Crossed over at 120 hz. They sound full have good mid bass. They have crisp highs. The directional tweeters help.

Excellent Speakers!!

Installed these speakers on my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 and was a significant improvement over the stock speakers. Nice low Bass and highs from the Tweeter and was also able to retain the wiring to the stock component tweeter on the window pillar which really improve the overall sound. I saved approximately $90 over the Crutchfield price!

I like the overall sound of the product.. the highs sound amazing and clear. The bass sounds good but not at higher volumes as I hoped for. I don't turn it to high volumes constantly because I think the speakers might not be able to substane it's quality.

Awesome speakers

Have these in the back of my car and they sound great. Nice highs and good mid bass from such a small magnet. Only pushing them with 45rms from the ktp-445. Can wait to hear them once my new amp gets here.
