As good as you'll get from 6.5"

Great sound. Obviously, it's tough for a 6.5" to match what you can get from a 6x9" in terms of deep sound or bass, but you've got to work with what fits in your car. Depending on the kind of bass, though, you will find yourself pleasantly surprised at how great the 610s and 610Cs sound. Put the 610s in the back dash of my 2010 Civic EX-L and the SPS-610C in the front.
The 610s are great, no complaints.
Word of warning about the 610Cs, though, if you're doing a total speaker replacement like I did. The tweeter components are so much louder than stock ones that if you have any factory amp that boosts the tweeters they will scream so loudly they will completely throw your sound quality out of whack. I ended up putting my stock tweeters back in and everything sounds wonderful now.
Sonic Electronix had the best price I could find and the speakers arrived within a few days.

Fits really nice on Chevrolet Traiblazer 2003 but ...

For those who have Chevrolet Trailblazer 2003 this are the speaker you need fro your ride, to be more in detail the speaker have many holes configurations and even come with a sturdy strong bracket mount and comes with cables not so long but enough length, the rear woofer were easy too install I recommended to cut the plug wire because will make no sense to keep the original factory wire plug, I myself like to solder the wire and the use a plastic clamp cup to protect the wire, also make sure your wire speaker have the correct polarity before soldering, what I did I went online and found the color code for the rear speakers, the front speakers is another story the wires are red and black there is factory tweeter installed and good guys from GM place the nice red and wire simple cable that make my job easier, to be more in detail for those who own Chevrolet Trailblazer 2003 in my case, the front plastic bracket the speaker will not fit correctly but with some modification I took out some material from the bracket and now they fit really nice, another solution is that you can purchase the bracket that fits all aftermarket speakers for your Chevrolet Trailblazer.


I did some sound test with all speakers and respond really well bass is good and high frequencies I just turn the volume in 24 on my Sony double din and is nice really nice I do not go to expert comment because is not necessary lol

what surprise me is that the basket is made of plastic and that give another advantage, here in Puerto Rico the weather is humid so that helps I guess lol the old speakers were rusted on the frame lol

by the way one more thing, the quality of the construction is really well made

Alpine Door speakers

Ordered these to replace the speaker in my back doors of my F150 Supercrew. These were easy to install and sound good with the rest of my system.

Good to ear, easy on the wallet.

These are great speakers for the money. Sound great for me as rear fill. I was skeptical at first but after dropping them in the rear deck of the honda, and giving them 50 watts rms I was sold. I would definitely recommend these.

Great Sound for your Money

I nought these speakers for my Honda Civic SI. The Sound improved drastically with the factory head unit. I recommend these for improved mids, highs and lows.

These speakers are so much better than the crappy stock ones that Toyota put in my vehicle. Sound is much more clear, and I actually have some bass now. They were so easy to install too. I have a 2006 Toyota Porte and it has made my drive time to and from work much more enjoyable.

Working a treat

I bought the SPS-610 speakers and put them in the back of my old 60 series landcruiser. The speakers have been working a treat. They have no problem putting out a great sound at what I thought was a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone considering a good all round speaker..

They're Alpines.................of course they sound great! Only brand of car audio speakers I buy because they sound great, are a good value, and come with installation options. Can't ask or expect more or less from Alpine!

They do the trick

Listened to several speakers at Car Toys. These had the best overall performance under $100/speaker. I paired four (two front, two back) in a 2014 Subaru CrossTrek with an Alpine Amplifier and a JL Audio 8" Subwoofer. The acoustics are spectacular, even without separate tweeters. I know many of the Focal Brand speakers have far greater definition, but I'm happy with these. Just to note, the Subaru factory speakers are not terrible. They even produce some base when played very loud. They were plastic cones rated up to 40W each. The SPS-610s are each rated for 80W and I play the subwoofer at about 25%. My advice - get a 5-channel amp that can support one or two subs on a mono channel.

Bought this for my boo boo to replace the factory speakers. Great sound, bass and clarity. Its not hooked up to an amp but sound is still great. I would recommend buying an amp for these to bring out the best sound possible night and day difference.

Lets just say they are better than the stockers but if you want something louder save up for the type Rs componets. Overall they are good.

Alpine sps 610

These speakers handle more power than they are rated for. I am pushing 125 watts rms to each one, and they handle it no problem, no distortion. I highly recommend these speakers. Very good power handling for the price.

The alpine type s are amazing. Really really good lows great mids and nice highs. Sounds great with any kind of music They crank and there not even amped and there running off my Sony deck. They sound amazing with my 12 inch jl audio sub. Overall it's a great buy, highly recommend these for the price can't beat it

nice high/mids

Very nice for highs and mid highs. Can't play much lower than a snare drum though. I would recommend getting some midbass components to go with these if you have the mounting space/ fab skills. If I could do it over I would have done a 6.5 woofer and a separate tweeter component setup. You get much more depth that way.

One of the best pair of speakers i have ever owned!

I install this pair of alpine sps 610 to replace my front speakers, its running off the head unit, but it still sound way better than the oem. The bass is so loud it shakes mu side mirrors.

multi fit features great speakers

They sound really good and what I like about them is that the frame is mad of plastic so I don't have to worried about rust here in Puerto Rico is really humid lol, they do fit really nicely on my Chevrolet Trailblazer 2003
they come with hook up wire and screws also the bracket is really well made construction I do recommended this product that every one great quality and what also liek that has many hole option for the mount that is a plus

97 silverado installation

I put these in the front doors of my truck, re-drilled the mounting holes and they fit perfectly. Sound quality with my new alpine head unit is great.

I think Alpine products are some the best out there. I keep going back to them because pound for pound their products sound excellent at a reasonable price (especially the Type S). Very reliable brand.

Well priced quality sound

I have these installed in the back doors of my 08 Tacoma, and they are great. The install fit kit is a little disappointing because the mounting brackets that came with the Alpines had to be "adjusted" = cut to fit and they are a little to thick for the door panel to fit flush without alteration. But as far as sound goes, they are awesome.

Great step up from factory speakers

Installed this speakers as rear door speakers on 2008 Acura TSX. Fits and sounds great. They sound very clear compared to the factory speakers. This is a good step up from the factory speakers without the need to install an amp.

I Install it on a 2007 Kia spectra didn’t think my head unit was going to be able to play the speakers without a amp but they play pretty good can wait to put a amp And really see how they performer

Great speakers - EASY install - nice bass for 6.5"TX

Got these as replacement for OEM door speakers that lacked bass. Mazda Miata didn't have room for larger than 6.5" without serious customizing, so looking for poly components, as much base as possible, and power handling for new high power head. These matched my requirements and were super simple to install. 3 screws out, replace connectors, 3 screws in.

Having planned the afternoon to work on installing, multiple mounting holes on speakers made very short work of it and gave me a couple extra hours to drive and enjoy.

As it turns out, speakers I replaced were ORIGINAL in a 1991 Miata -- completely shot with NO foam remaining at all. As you can imagine, massive improvement in the bass, and eliminated my next step of adding a sub if 6.5" proved ineffective. Very happy with the bass from these little guys.

Good stuff

Running these off of factory pwr they sounded good as soon as I get them pwred by the 4ch they are going to sound kick a$$. Cons none that can be seen. Comparing them to the alpine S component the focus is not as good but they are coxal's. I would write more but the install is still taking place.
