Great box does well with my subs would buy again

Heavy Duty!

I would recommend this product for the guy's out there that are serious about their music. If you got good, high quality subs, then this box will make them perform to your sub's max output with out worry of blowing up your box.

The Box that Rocks

Appears to be fairly well built. Arrived with a little dent and a tear but its too little to bother with. Sounds nice but doesn't hit as deep as I would have liked. Small size however, leaves me some room for a couple of bags of groceries. Three stars for durability since I've only owned this for about a month.

Amazing Enclosure, Even Better Price.

Ordered this as my first enclosure, put two 12" subs in it and I haven't found a box that hits as hard and as clean as this one has. Will definitely buy from SonicElectronix again for my car audio needs.

Usable

The wiring has done me right so far but the only thing I don't like is the speaker wires. You have to carefully split it so the wire doesn't show. Other than that minor thing everything was great and a great value!

Fast and easy great buy

I got my complete set up: 12" kicker subs box 1000watt Mbquart amp and amp kit. I have always installed my own equipment, I found it helpful that they have videos that covered some of the product they carry. There are a few shop's in Texas like Best buy and Custom Sounds that offer equipment. But the professionalism of the knowledgeable staff the price and the reliability made it clear that I wanted to do business with them.

Cant beat the price. But it is really very good box. I put two 12" hifonic,also bought from here, with a 2 channel 1000 watt amp.It really shook my rearview mirror in my '97 towncar. My brother loved it so we put it in his '92 prelude.Wow!!! You can hear him before you see him. Great buy!!!

Its a box

have kicker 12, they sound alright have some loose paneling in my car, so I'm having trouble getting the clarity I want. over all its a box and it works.

price is right

the price is right for this setup. the ground wire and the power wire are to big for my amp but i made them fit. better to have to much than not enough so if i upgrade to a larger amp it will be fine.

I run 2 12inch audiobahn exursions on this amp and it pushes them very well. The size is perfect not to big and fits right unerneath the seat or small space. The best part is it stays pretty cool even after running most the day.

I have this box with 2 kickers 12 in back of a Nissan altima and they soundgreat. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely buy again. Sonic electronix is the best

good wires

I like the wire kit I got with my amp it seems to be holding up goo it handles the power of the amp I got but I would of gave it 5 stars all the way around but I wold of like the ground at less 2 more feet for good use but over all its a nice kit

Awesome "BANG" for your buck

I am on a budget, like most of us. I needed a nice looking box for a reasonable price. For $52.00 you can't beat it.
I loaded my 2 12" Alpine TypeS subwoofers in it. Mounted my amp to the back and they are still going strong.

Solid Box

Ok so I bought this box because I wanted a quick sealed enclosure for my 2 JL W3's. The box is made pretty solid, true 3/4 MDF but the caulk job on the inside was kind of off but that's nitpicking. Haha after 3 weeks though of pushing my W3s the top of the box is leaking air. So not the best made but definitely a good pre fab and pretty cheap. Can't really complain. It is nailed together tho so yea..

It's a box without a hole

Solid sealed enclosure. Two of them barely fit in the back of my 02 Focus SVT 3 door. The binding posts are cheap, I tightened them as I would other posts but one out of eight wouldn't tighten because the thread tolerance is poor and it acts like its stripped, I can get some pressure on the wire but I worry it will come loose. Probably worth spending a little more money on a better enclosure but it works fine if you're on a budget.

very good sub box

The box is very good at 1.25 cubic feet. I'm running 2 12's with 800 watts rms and it hasn't shattered. Wish it was 1.35 cubic to accommodate for subwoofer basket displacement but it still makes makes subs hit ridiculously hard. Polyfill helps make the box seem bigger due to mechanics and the "Q" point. I really couldn't be happier!

I purchaced your Dual 12" sealed sub enclosure and added two Alpine R's and fosgate 1000w amp and WOW does not even come close, it Rocks. The quality of the box is really really impresive. The carpet in not the junk material I've seen in my other buddies combo's.

This enclosure is a well built enclosure for sq applications. I purchaced to house 2 CV vmax 122 drivers and the sound quality was almost rubbery? not tinny, never a crackle....fluid almost..... call it a well dampened sound with minimal distortion. just clean bass all the way into the 20s. made sounds i diddnt know existed. if you dont care how your music sounds and just looking for loud, look elsewhere. my only complaint, 11" cutout is too small for the vmax and the black carpet is difficult to follow a line with the router.

Great Sound!

i have 2- 12 inch Memphis audio 15-M3124D's in this box each putting out 2000 watts max hooked up to a MA audio HK10KA amp rated at 10,000 watts max. i have the subs bridged and it has way too much power going to them but the box still stands up. i would recommend that when you install your subs that you put some sort of foam stripping underneath the lip so when you screw it down you wont have and leaks at all.

Sleak, Sexy, Soundiful!

Its cheap, in price. Yeah, we see that. But let your worries go to rest, this is a GREAT BOX. Its well made, and put together great. Although they did use nails instead of screws, if you know what your doing, it won't slow you down. I have 2 12" Kickers in this baby, and pounds like a mofo.

Get this box. You won't be disappointed.

A little trouble at first...

The whole was no the size it said it was. I happen to be a part-time handy man so I had a circular sander and was able to make the whoel bigger. Took about an extra 20 mins of work to mount the subs, but overall everythign worked out. No complaints about box. It is doing it's thing!

good cheap starter box

i bought this box about a year ago for 2 of my infinity reference 1260w subwoofers. I have two more in a ported box. im pushing 350w to all 4 and I have to say I like this box more than the ported. you feel it more in the sealed box but lose a little on the db's but its worth it. the box is sturdy and hasn't showed wear a bit. its tuned in the lower 40's so you wont get stupid low with it but can get loud. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget or to lazy to build their own box. it comes with polyfill which is a bonus, the terminals on the back need calked but that's with about any box you buy. overall I like it and would buy again if I had to.

ok so far

Installed this weekend, I did add a couple pounds of "pillow stuffing" since the box was a tad smaller then what I needed. I have noticed some flex already but im not suprised with the subs that are in it. I will add triangle shaped gussets and some "trim screw" to try and hold things together.

A sheet of real MDF (not the cheap underlayment) is $32, carpet and glue around $15 so for what they want for this its a good deal that just needs some minor tweaks.

Not much else to say besides great product. Shipped in only 3 days, and the pre-done polyfill is a great touch. My only comlaint would be that my car smelled like glue for a few days after I put this box in, but that's just nit-picking. Will definitely order boxes from Sonic in the future!

Sub Enclosure Review

Perfect size to fit my Infinity subs. Wish it came with mounting feet but can't ask for everything. Quality is legit for the price. Just your average rectangular box. Fit in the trunk of my 240sx which is pretty small.

GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!

This box looked great and felt very durable. My subwoofers wouldnt fit at first so I had to do some shaving, NO PROB. It sounded good for awhile and I loved it. After about two weeks, it lost its sound, went to check out the problem the whole front of the box had almost came off, Box was sealed very well, too bad they used nails instead of screws, would have been a very good box.

Great box

This is a great box. I prefer ported but my trunk is too small for it so I had to go with sealed. I'm still happy though. This had the perfect size for my 12s. Also the measurements are a little off. The box is a little bigger that the description said.

This is a great sub woofer box for the price it is heavy 41 pounds and it is sturdy. I have 2 12 kickers 600 rms 1500 peak and they sound great in this box hits lows and highs hard. I would say to any one buy it.

had to trim the 12" hole for my Sound stream PCO.12 subs they wouldn't fit at all. once I trimmed the MDF I love this box. they could have used spring term instead of screw though.

I replaced my old box with this 1 & man what a difference. My old box was 11 years old & I didn't realize it was falling apart & with this new box I noticed an instant difference. Its a great box for the price, it holds firm & can handle the full pressure of 1100 RMS

I did have to spray a little adhesive inside for 1 part of the foam & terminals were screwed in & not exactly straight & I also had to poke holes in the foam for wires but these things are no problem. The box is awesome & I will by more in the future

It's tough to build a box for the price you can buy one of these. They are solid. I haven't had any issues with mine.

best box 4 the buck

Don't let the skimpy price fool you. This box is made very well and it's ready to go. The joints are already caulked and glued - so there is nothing more to do than mount you speaker.

It's not MDF(medium density fiberboard) like all the others, it is made from HDF; high density fiberboard. HDF boxes are typically stronger, stiffer, and lighter than MDF enclosures. The box does not require any additional bracing because of its density. It has a high an undetectable high frequency resonance and doesn't color the sound of your bass with unwanted buzzing or flexing. The HDF box is lighter than MDF because it has smaller fibers that when pressed and heated require less glue and resin to bind the fibers together.

The speaker terminals are screw type gold plated binding posts that will hold 12 g speaker wire easily. They screw into the enclosure for added strength and a tighter seal.

Just make sure that you do your math and pick the right sub for the cubic feet and stuff with poly fiber fill.

Extremely well built

Insanely well built box.

Carpet job is top notch, Good quality carpet stretched perfectly over the box. All joints are glued and caulked well. theres no need for extra bracing here but you may add some 2x4's to reduce the airspace if needed. The gold push terminals are well sealed in place.

Hits low and hard with all sub's I've thrown at it (JL Audio 12W04's, Rockford Fosgate P312D4's, Kicker CVX12's and finally Alpine SWX-1242D's)

Don't be afraid of the price. It's a perfect price for a box of this caliber. Would recommend it to anyone.

Tuff Stuff

Nice heavy, good sounding box. I would reccomend putting some polyfil to "cushion" the backfire of the subwoofer, really helps w/any sealed box and totally makes a valuable difference considering it only costs about 5-10$ more. The box itself is well sealed and well made, the connectors on the inside and out are really easy to use and once connected your wires will stay put.

Your basic sealed box

Great box. Quality carpet job, all seams sealed correctly and well, and the terminals are strong and functional. Perfect basic box to make two twelve's hit perfectly. Just remember this is a sealed box, so it will have a differnet sound than that of a ported or bandpass box, but if u want a tighter hitting bass, this box if perfect.

Ok. not the best kit.

The eyelet connectors are flimsy and the speaker wire is hard to separate. When it does it exposes some of the copper. Otherwise the kit is ok.

This is great amp I have it running 2 kicker 12s and it hits hard in my 2006 tahoe I love it....Never gets hot and its clean looking with a great price......BUT MAKE SURE TO INVEST IN A VERY GOOD BATTERY OR CAP

Good product , but not enough speaker wire to wire two front door speakers in a scion xb. I guess it would have been enough if I had run one of them with the power wire instead of running on the other side of car, but everybody knows that's a bad idea due to engine noise. You would think they would take that into consideration. Also not a big fan of the square and round speaker wire very hard to separate and strip without exposing bare wire.

Bought this kit for my 650 watt rms amp. Not true awg 4 guage, but close.jacket is pretty thick.all wires flexible. Reached under the back seat of my 2008 silverado crew cab. But not a whole lot of slack if your going to a trunk. Fuse is ok... ive seen better and worse. Bottom line, if your on a budget and running 800 rms or under, this will work fine.

Winner, hands down

When i bought this amp, i was skeptical because of the long hated line of Hifonics products.

When i got this amp, i hooked it up to my Kicker 15" L7... i had the amp at a 2 ohm load giving the L7 a good 750 rms and damn... It sounded like that L7 had a full on 1000 rms load going into it.. I had to tape down various plastic pieces in the back of my car and secure my trunk with padding...

Get...this..amp. Also check out the 1200.1D brutus series.. That is my current amp!

Wicked little amp its a true 1000 rms I have it on a 2010 Rockford fosgate T1D215 in the high output vent box running in 1 ohm I swear I think if I turned the gain past 3/4 I could make that T1 15 start popping. It hits just as hard as my buddys 2 l7 15inch with a Rockford fosgate 1000.1 amp. Great great amp.

Great wires!!

After reading reviews and most importantly watching the video Sonic posted with this product, I decided to give it a shot for my Cerwin Vega VPAS-12. The wires are exactly as described, true 4 gauge, not all insulation like the other brands. The fuse block is solid and easy to set up. I was worried it may not fit the VPAS connectors since they mention 8 gauge, but it works and it is holding in no problem.

The only thing I did change was the actual battery and ground terminals, they seemed weak, so i chose something stronger and all is well.

Fantastic Sub Box

A very well-built and nicely carpeted sub box, that looks great, and should prove to be very durable, as it is constructed with 3/4" MDF instead of thinner material of many other boxes costing more than this.

The black carpet makes more of an impact than the typical gray carpet, and the 5-way binding posts are much higher quality than the typical plastic spring connections normally found on sub boxes.

Very happy with this purchase, and would absolutely consider another should it fit my needs of enclosure volume. (It's not worth the extra time/effort to make a custom box, when this does the job just as well, and comes pre-lined with poly-filled and pre-carpeted)

Only down fall i see is there was no poly fill and terminals are on sides instead of rear. Sturdy enclosure

This is a very well constructed box, well sealed and solid. However, mine arrived new in the box and every corner had the carpet worn off and bare wood showing. Also, mine was not lined with poly-fil and the terminal cups were on the sides rather than in the back as it appears in photos- no biggy but that did influence my decision as my install would have been a little "cleaner". All in all it sounds great and seems extremely durable.

Great bang for my buck

I have to LMFAO at all those bad reviews bet they never realized 3 weeks. At lest before you go n turn up amp. Today is Aug 19. 3 weeks ago I bought n installed (DIY). My amp n remote were both turned to 2 gain will EVERYTHING ELSE was set 0. Yes at first could not hear it. But in long run worth it. By 5th day at 2 gain was raddling my mirrors. I only got one these bad boys. Due to out stock. I can't even fathom 2 these. Guys going.BTW I still haven't messed with amp or any settings. Pounder on that for awhile.....

Bad A**

I have this amp pushing 2 Kicker CVR 12's at 2ohm in my 95 Civic Sedan. This amp is Nasty!! My subs are currently in a sealed box that is a bit to small for the subs and it still pounds hard, everything rattles. Building a ported box to specs and they will hit even harder.
The amp never over heats (and its tucked in an area with almost no air flow).
I very highly recommend this amp to anyone. Its cheap and has more than plenty of power!!

Powerful little Amp

I was first pointed to this amp when I was looking for a monoblock to power my 2 Rockford P1's when I first got into the whole Car Audio thing. It was cheap compared to a lot of the other amps, and the specs were better than the 2 channel Kenwood I had running my subs before.

When I got it, I must say I was a little surprised at its size. Relatively small compared to my previous one, but I had my car stereo enthusiast neighbor help me hook it up, and tune everything just right. The difference was like night and day. Maybe it was because the "professionals" who hooked up my stuff at ABC Warehouse were not so professional, or maybe this is just a much better amp, but regardless it worked great and it has been for nearly 2 years now.

I'm currently powering 2 ten inch Alpine Type R's with this 1000 watt monoblock and they still sound amazing, and right around what you need for them.

The only downside that comes to mind is that rap songs, or any song with a lot of continuous heavy bass, at loud volumes, can cause the amp to shut off and go into protect mode. This really isn't such a bad thing, as it protects the product you paid for, but its just a little inconvienent because I can't get the thing to go back to normal without turning my car off, and then back on again. I figured turning the headunit off, and turning the power off to the amp, then letting it sit 15 minutes would do the trick, but no luck.

Still works great, and I just tuned the gain down a tiny bit so that doesn't happen anymore.

Really no complaints. Good solid amp, just the right amount of power, and it was quick and easy to swap out my 2 channel amp for this one. So for 150$, this is a steal to me.

Great Amp for price

This is a great amp for the price. I have 1 pushing 2 PowerBass 2XL subwoofers and it shakes my whole car. I even have some cheap 4 gauge wire. Soon i'll be getting soon a Kicker amp kit. I'm pretty sure it will sound way louder.

Solid product. I wouldn't put a subwoofer heavier than 30-35 lbs each in it thought. It's lined with polyfil so you'll have to cut a small hole where the terminals are but other than that it's a pretty good box for the price.

Nice little amp!

I needed an amp to power two NVX DVC 10" subs but also take up very little space. This thing over delivers, it's compact enough it can very easily fit under a seat or in other tight spaces and is very well constructed.

I have it pushing out about 350 RMS @ 1ohm to my two 10's as that's their RMS rating, and they absolutely pound my car. The amplifier and subs paired together make super crisp and clean bass, no drool and no fuzzy sound. Very snappy tight bass but believe me this amp has no problems feeding my subs when deep lows from music kicks in, it gets amazingly low and has no problems with overheating at all even at high volumes with rock or hip hop, and it's in my spare tire area with a pastic/carpeted cover on top of it.

Overall I give this amp a 5/5 because it delivers everything it's rated for, has great SQ and SPL capabilities, great looks and design.

Buyer beware

I Purchased this hifonics amplifier and had my whole system professionally installed at a local shop. I Received a call later that evening that the amplifier was toast right out of the box. I even visited the shop a little later, and sure enough the amplifier was not outputting power. Either way i learned my lesson and replaced the hifonics product with a 500 watt kicker amp that was inspected at the factory and passed all quality control tests. Chalk this up to either bad luck or a sketchy product. Seemed like quite a few people liked this product though and had good luck with it.

This was already the best deal for a 3/4" MDF dual enclosure I could find, everything else in this range is 5/8".

For the price I wasn't expecting much.
However When it arrived found it is of good build quality, with decent carpet.

They already lined the inside with polyfil, more added value.

Then to top it off, found it has really nice gold plated screw type wire terminals. Better connection and added peace of mind that connections will not come undone.

This is probably the best deal/value on the internet for a dual 12 enclosure. Probably why it's backordered at time of this review.

Holy wow

This has thoroughly beat on my 12" Volfenhags and my 15" Diamond D6. The power coming out of this tiny, low-end amp is unbelievable, not to mention it stays cool even when maxed out. Granted, judging by the built-in fuse, it can theoretically only push out 960W max, but for the price, how can you beat that?

I have to say I was shopping for a while trying to find an amp that would give me the power i need with SQ. although this amp is not CEA 2006 compliant at 14.4 volts it will put out the rms it claims. It makes my 2 10" in a ported box bang hard but also sound good. The amp does not overheat at all for me.
I have a friend that has the hifonics colossus amp with two 12" MTx 9500
And that amp makes those subs work. I'm just giving that as an example that surprisingly enough hifonics is top quality stuff. If you have concerned if hifonics is what they advertise I can yes it is. To tell you the truth it's the name when you buy kicker or alpine.. A lot of people have those brands so that's why most people will over look hifonics. It's a win win if you buy hifonics you save money. A lot of money then take that extra money and upgrade to a better sub or maybe a nice pair of infinity component speakers. The last thing I will say

Hifonics does make cea 2006 compliant amps and either way you can't go wrong

Best Bang for your buck!

I was a little skeptical of Hifonics because of the power they claimed with such a low price, but i took the gamble and I couldn't be happier. I have it hooked up to 2 pioneer TS-W308D4's wired down to 1 ohm. It powers them very well. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that these things do rated power. My 2 12's are louder than my friends 4. I had them metered and hit a 143! I'm about to buy a Brutus BRZ2400 for a set of 18's. Definitely will stay with Hifonics for a while!

This baby will supply you with all the power you need. It's one of the better if not best bang for buck amplifiers you can purchase here. It's very efficient, compact, durable and powerful. I've had this for 6 months and it still runs like new. I can't be any happier. However, I will be upgrading to a stronger amp from Hifonics after I buy an additional subwoofer for my system.

You can't buy a better amp for the money. This is a true high power low dollar amp. Have this small footprint beast wired at a 2 Ohm load to an alpine 12 swx-1243d, and hold on this pair hits hard.

Bought this amp a year ago.
Initially to power my Murano 2009 withKicker 10cvr10-4 2010 Comp Vr Series 10 Inch 4 Ohm Dual Voice Coil 800 Watt Car Subwoofer at 2 ohms

I have got this sub setup in 1Cbuft sub box laced with poly fill cloth inside stringed at 2 ohm in my Nissan Murano sourced from Rear speakers at full range.
The hifonics Amp is pumping out 400 W RMS to it exactly hitting the sweet spot.(Mind these are marketing wattage rates on the amps)
I did got the confirmation from Kicker and Hifonics to arrive at the sweetspot.

WOHAAA .. more than enough bass that my ears can take ;-) (Again depends on your hearing levels ;))

I am generally running the car stereo from my AUX MP3 player and some times CD. This amp and sub combination rocks.
I keep the bass level in general at half way on my deck and sub level at 3/4 TO Rock the car.

Later I have upgraded my Amp to Hifonics zx2000 1.d and put an existing Sony 300 w woofer in Murano and shifted the 1000.1d setup to My Accord 2012. As accords Sony amp was anemic and Sony sub required more power to push it to rocking levels. You know what the same rocking performance repeats in Accord too.

One word of caution. your speaker needs to be setup at 2 ohms to rock the hell out of sub. at 4 ohms the amp is not powerfull enf.

This amp is amazing, have it running two Kicker CVR Aluminized 12s at 2 ohms, and they bump hard! My mirror looks like a huge blur. Only got a little warm after and hour of playing in a hot garage. Light up label is an aesthetic plus. Make sure to read the manual when connecting speaker wire! Perfect for 4 guage wire, I suggest a Rockford Fosgate amp kit.

Amp has never went into protection mode never had a problem lets just say i barely have the remote bass knob turned 1/4 of the way and it just hits so hard a course its JL Audio subs but this is the perfect match! Pretty Powerful Amplifier

Let's start by saying this amplifier will push anything you put on it. It does not even heat up when playing at high levels and the sub almost blew off my trunk. Love for what I payed for it and will use it until it gives away. Definitely recommend this product.

Big surprises in small packages

At first, I didn't think this amp would be anything special since the company who makes Hifonics equipment also owns Autotek (blecch!). I've had this hooked up for about two months though and it's nothing short of amazing. Mated with two 12" Volfenhag 1000W subwoofers, it blew my old setup right out of the water. The sound is so clean, too! It doesn't sound muffled or muddy like a lot of other budget-model amplifiers. If you need a good 1000W monoblock but don't have the money for higher-end brands like Alpine or Kicker, this model is worth every penny and won't disappoint.

Same thing happened to me but...

Got my amp ran 4 gauge to the batt and ground 16 gauge to the 3 10" JL W0s I was trying to power. Amp cut off, no thumping, messed with gains, boost knob, checked wiring. Still nothing, took it to an audio shop the next day and the guy said it looks like your amp is fried. So i got an RMA number from Sonic, and I waited entirely too long to send it back and 3 days ago I figured what the hell Ill plug her in and see what she does. Well she BANGED!!!! I have no idea what had happened to it before but she works now and thats all I care about! With the enclosure wired at 4ohms this amp has the potential to OVERPOWER 3 10" subs. Idk what was wrong in the first place but if they all bang like this it is a MUST BUY!!!

This dumb amp has wasted so much of my time it's ridiculous. I ordered two of these things n both turned out to be defective. The first not putting out any power at all. The second putting out very little power not being able to push my single 12" Kicker L5. I just ordered a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D hoping it will be way better than this garbage amp. If you been thinking bout buying this amp, don't. Just save up a little more and buy yourself the BRZ1200.1D which is CEA certified unlike this amp. Tech himself told me this amp pushes 600watts out at the most. Hope this helps anyone who has any doubts bout this amp.

Great Amp! A definite must buy!!!

This amp is just amazing. My older amp was a 2 channel Nitro 1000 watt amp and it had alot more cons than pros. It was able to push my subs but it just didnt have enough power. I just installed my HFI1000.1D yesterday and it blows everybody out of the water! My subs hit harder than ever and you can hear me come down the block. I set off so many alarms while i was powering my subs with this amp. Definately worth the price.

I've had this amp for a month now and all I can say is wow! I have two 10 inch Kicker L7s hooked up to this amp with 4 AWG wire and they pound! They make my windshield flex a little but because they are getting true power to them. Haven't had a problem with it yet and it still amazes me!

bought this amp 2 months ago. i have this amp running 2 12in kenwood kfc 3011s, and they sound really good. i bought this amp cause my other amp kept getting hot and shutting off, and this one was not suppose to do that. it has once when i turned up the gain and the bass boost pretty high, but i backed off a bit and havnt had no probs since.

It is one of the best amps that I have used. I was pushing a T1 15" tatinum in a vented enclosure and it was pushing it good.

Hifonics HFI1000.

This small form factor amp is great IMO. Was able to fit it behind my 2007 Dodge Quad Cab passenger seats w/o having to cut any thing out! Pushing 2 (SVC 4ohm) 10" Kickers, wired for 2 Ohm load from the amp and they bump! Amp is putting out great power. I have 2 (6 Ohm) Audiobahn's that will replace these Kickers for a 1.5 Ohm load in the near future (need to mod the box just a bit for size), but I have no doubt this amp can push a couple of power hungry 6ohm sub's. Light doesn't bug me as I can't see it from where it's all installed but it is just a little bright, not a downer though.

Amp is very light, puts out lots of power, nice config options and for the price you can't go wrong for the every day neighborhood disturbance! My one complaint is the cheap plastic feel the amp has. But like I said it's not a heavy amp. I mean imagine running 4-6 10" or 12" subs with two of these. Not much weight coming from amp's but the boxes and subs (not that it matters if you're actually running that kind of power I guess) would be heavy.

I Received the Hifi1000.1D amp today, I was very happy at first, plugged in all my power, speaker, remote wires etc etc. When I went to go turn it on, nothing. Only thing working was the protection & Logo light. I'm very mad about this. Seemed like it was cheaply made. It could either be the RCA plugin or + & - outputs for the subs. and also to add in, The remote bass controller seems cheap too. Plugged it in and the wires were loose and didn't have a good connection at all. The logo light on it was flickering just by touching the wire.

Great Value

It fit nicely under the seat in my 04 Toyota Tacoma extra cab. I dont use it at full power, but it has more than enough clean clear power to push my ported 12" sub to vibrate the mirrors so I can't see. Never had any over heating problems, even during the hot summers here in the desert southwest. If this amp should die I will definitely buy it again. You couldn't ask for a better value.

What a great buy

I have the amp connected to my two 12" Kicker CVR's in a ported box @ 2 ohms and WOW!!! It is so loud and makes my mirrors completely useless lol. I have only had it for a short time, but it has never got hot or even warm at that. It looks pretty good, and is a lot smaller than my previous amp which is a plus. I also noticed my light stop dimming even though im running twice the power I used too. This little guy packs quite a punch, so I would seriously recommend getting it. 5 stars all the way

cheap but not good enough

I have two 12' Pioneer Champion series subwoofers and I connected this amp to it barely lifts them up half way! Not what I expected from a Hifonics even though I have the wires bridged for maximum potential and with an air-port custom box. I would recommend to those who want subs to hit but not all that hard.

They didn't really come to life until I put this amp on them. I have owned a lot of different brands. From entry level all the way up to top of the line. This is not the best amp I have owned, but I can tell you it is more than worth the price there asking for it. Very well build, feels like it could take a beating and keep going. Sound quality is fairly high, although I have it setup for maximum sound. Only had it a few days but I am very impressed with this amplifier. If you debating if you should get this amp, I can tell you wont be disappointed with this. This is the second MaxxSonics product I have owned, and I feel like you get a lot of product for your money with them. I definitely won't go anywhere else for my amplifier needs.

Great amp

I have it hooked up to a 15" CVR 07 and it sounds great. Its a little more powerful than i need it to be but its nice to have extra wattage to make sure my sub is running at its peak. Its never overheated or gone into protection mode and ive had it for 6 months in the spring and summer. Overall excellent buy, hifonics is the way to go.

Have not had any problems with this amp. I like how small it is, it made is easy to put under the back seat. I am running it at 1 ohm and have had no problems with it getting too hot. Would definitely recommend to anybody that needs to run 1000 watts and not sacrafice a lot of room. And the blue neon light that lights up is really cool at night.

This little guy is rocking my Power Acoustic P3-12W so hard I actually am concerned it could blow it!! This is a great amp and a great price. Its putting 1000w to my sub and it shows!! Had the amp 3 weeks and not one time has it overheated. Gotten warm because of hot a** Texas but it keeps going! Great, smooth sound for the price. The level knob comes in handy as well! I recommend this amp for subs within the RMS range.

I have two kickers 12" 400 rms each need more for them to push the power it needs but its ok for now.

Amp is great. Simple as that. It's got great SQ and the SPL is there, no delay on it at all. Suprised by the qaulity. I'd say it's up there with JL and Rockford and everyother high end amp.

Best power for the money! I have used Hifonics for at least 15 years. These new hfi still put out the power but for less money. I think the only difference is the signal input dosn't have the same range as their higher grade amps. Good power and good versatility on ohm loads.

Sounds amazing.

I've used for a few months now and it has definitely delivered.
Currently I have one powering 2 12" P2's at about 750W RMS and they sound beautiful. I can go on long road trips just blasting Dubstep and the amp doesn't heat up much at all.
Overall one of the best amps that I've worked with.
The only thing that I can think of that can use some improvement is the mounting points and the bass knob. The mounting points are plastic so be careful when mounting it to something. The bass knob on the other hand seems to get a little sloppy after a while but it still functions so its not really a problem.

Pushing a couple shallow mount subs at 2 ohms with this. Monster hits, can feel the air flow from the hits between the front seat of my cab, make sure to read the manual to make sure you tune it properly, plus the remote looks good and even has emblem that lights up. looks great and works well!

If your looking for a budget happy bass build you'll be happy with this one. I purchased one of these not thinking about my box being a single 15" box. Well I had a piece of solid hardwood flooring that I cut a 12" face out of and put over the 15" whole. I have an Infinity Reference series 611a amp on this thing turned almost halfway on the gain, nearly full on the bass boost and 3/4 on the variable bass optimisation. I ported and tuned the box myself and people think I got two twelves instead of one. Pros. Alpine Great price Cons. Don't hit the low end bass notes as well

I'm powering two Orion XTR pros getting the 1000 watts @ 1ohm. It doesn't get hot and the bass knob is awesome and it has two non bridgeable channels. Later I can run them both at 750 watts @2 ohms each once they get broken in. Great size also.

I have just installed this amp on two 12" alpine type R's and wow! this thing makes my whole car flex! most people say that running a setup at 1ohm make the amp heat up more but i can hold my hand on this thing the whole time its playing even when its all of the way. I like that it doesn't draw and excessive amount of power and i can play my car in acc position for about 45mins with my jam cranked all the way. Just get it. It has everything in store!

I bought this amp 2 months ago and at first i bought this amp to try it out. I have to say that I'm impressed. I have the amp running at 750 Watts @ 2 ohms, the amp never gets hot never shuts down, it performs 100% up to this point. I am going to really test it by pushing it to the limit at 1000 watts @ 1 ohm. This amp really takes abuse because i play my stereo for 5-8 hours per day on Fr, Sat, Sun. I even turn the van on and let it run all night long till 4 AM and the thing does a perfect job. I will wright another review when i test 4 of these amps @ 1ohm with 8 woofers. Lets see if this amp would perform just as good with another application.

Slams!

I havent had a sub since the 90s. I installed this with an Alpine mono amp in my son's cx5. I'm absolutely blown away at how deep this sub pounds, just floored. I don't even like rap, but this sub makes it enjoyable. I have it in an Atrend sealed box and I'm contemplating buying one for myself now.

Aweosme amp

This is a great amp. Using a 4g amp kit on a normal car battery and just 13.8v @ the amp, I was able to get 690 watts from just a 2ohm load using the clamp test. Not to bad. It claims 750w@ 2ohms. But of course that's probably a bench test @14.4v. I need to get a yellow top battery soon. Anyway, i'm gonna enjoy this amp for a long time.

Good amp for good price

I would recommend this amp because it is a very well built amp that does have the right rms spec and is fairly small at a good price. Both of my CVR's feel like they are getting the right amount of power.

A Must Have!!

The amp does what its suppose to do and that's give all the power to my subs that they can handle. No cons at all...not really any pros other than it does what it is suppose to do and hasnt failed me yet. Ive only had it for 2 weeks so I will be back to do another review. Everything came in the box like it said and showed up on time. Easy to install. Im just now realizing if the blue hifonics badge lit up or not...I'll let you all know.

Great amp!

This is definitely a great amplifier, has really good power and is an awesome value. Only thing to complain about is once on a cold day the amplifier started to warm up and developed condensation and went into protection mode because of it. Reset the amp and it has been working without any more issues.
I guess this is a good thing rather than a complaint, just was odd that it would condensate to the point of protection mode. I wish the neon could be switched off as well. Badass amplifier otherwise!

Barely Works

I recieved this amp, hooked it up, and was amazed when it barely even moved an L3. I had to turn the gain and bass boost all the way up before i could feel anything. Yes, everything was hooked up right. I took my chances on an iffy, non-CEA 2006 compliant amp and it backfired on me.

Great deal for people on a budget !!!

I bought this amp to even out the small stereo hook up I had on a Chevy Astro Van, and the amp performed 100% without any issues. I had it hooked up at a 2 ohm load. I really put this thing to the test and it never shut down. As far as never heating up, I let this thing play for 8 hours straight and NEVER A PROBLEM!!! I've been doing installations for 20 plus years and I like to push equipment to its permissible limit and this one passes with flying colors. Hifonics amps are great on power and great on the pocket!! If you are looking for CEA certified, look at BRZ models. These are not CEA certified, but do the job 100%.

Everything I Needed

Used this kit to run an amp to the trunk of a 2015 Kia Optima. Ended up trimming about 1½ft of excess to help clean up the install. Everything seems to be good quality. Ran the power wire down the driver's side and RCA & amp signal wire down the passenger side to avoid any interference. Plenty of length of everything for a full size sedan.

Good Amp

This particular amp is performing well. I am very impressed and satisfied with it's performance. I have it pushing four 8inch Polk dual voice coil sub woofers and they are hitting. Appears to be good quality, its heavy. The light up HF badge is cool. It makes my lights dim slightly at 2 ohms, getting a cap to fix that. I bumped hard for a hour and it never even got warm, not even slightly. Not sure if the RMS are true but it pounds.

I never give feedback on anything so this is a first. I must say this amp is no joke at all. I'm running two 12 JBL-GT subs in a custom box that fits my mustang. I'm 43 so I need room in my trunk for things that pop up. I have this amp at 2ohms (HALF WAY) and brotha this thing pounds. I've had Rockford and many other amps in the past and this thing hangs right up there. One thing that's nice to is it comes with a bass control knob. It's a little cheap but it does the job for sure. If you are hesitating on this purchase, don't you wont be disappointed at all. One more thing, this amp runs real cool.. Go get a more expensive amp, but why!!!!!

I like that this amplifier is a true thousand Watts not just some random number that is no where near the correct output. It's well-built heavy duty design fits perfectly underneath the driver seat of my ext-cab Chevy truck. Plus it doesn't seem to wear down as fast like some other brands! In closing you can't find a better amp for the price! In my personal opinion!!

Not Impressed

This amp doesn't seem to put out the RMS it's rated at. I replaced with a higher quality name brand amp that is rated a lower RMS and it's night and day difference. New amp hits harder and cleaner with gain at 1/4 while this amp was around 1/2 and did not produce near the same sound. This amp also seems to be very inefficient. Runs battery down extremely quickly while tuning in the garage versus previously stated replacement amp. I would not recommend the amp unless it's the only thing you could afford.

Great budget amp

I have this hooked up to a single 12" Alpine Type S wired down to 1 ohm. It doesn't quite put out 1000w, its more like 800w rms but thats plenty for my Type S and it sings loud and clean.

There aren't that many amps on this site that can wire down to 1 ohm and can put out 800-900 watts rms for $130.

For the price, this is a great buy.

Awesome amp! It thumps my 12" pioneer champion series all day and never gets warm! The only thing I wish it had is speaker level inputs because I installed it in a 2015 altima that I'm leasing so I didn't want to rip the dash apart. I used a line out converter and t-taps into the rear speakers so as not to cut any wires. Love the lights and it's been over a month now and working awesome!

I have this guy pushing a kicker 10" L7 at 1ohm in a sealed box. I have it running roughly 800 Watts constantly and haven't had any hiccups. After about 2 hours of running at that rate, it only feels warm to the touch.

Good budget amplifier

Pushing a dc level 2 12 and a Memphis 12 cleanly and efficiently. My whole car is shaking with clean heavy bass that doesn’t drown out the rest of the song. As far as I can tell bass knob is actually an external gain knob that won’t exceed what you have your gain manually set at. Don’t know why it says boost on it. I set my gain where I wanted and boost at zero, when I plugged the knob in set at zero there was no sound.
