Everything I need
I like it. Wireless Android auto is simple and I use it more than I thought I would. Parking brake settings lockout is kinda aggressive, but there is a way to work around it. It uses its own light sensor so it stays bright during the day of I turn the headlights on for some reason, which is nice. It oddly pushes my car's gauge info center to display the time in the UTC time zone for some reason. Hoping a firmware update will fix that at some point. HDMI works like it should, etc etc. I'd reformat some of the user interface like the volume display that pops up in the middle of the screen when you change it. I'd make it smaller and to one side.

Awesome headunit, headache to install, no support from Sonic Electronix
It took me way too long to figure out how to install this product since it's not technically compatible with my vehicle. Axxess and Metra make kits to make it work so after a lot of troubleshooting I finally got it going. However I did have questions that I needed Sonic Electronix to answer but they said they only provide tech support via email which is not helpful at all when you're trying to live troubleshoot something. If I were to purchase again I would buy from Crutchfield as the $100 difference in item price is worth the actual live technical support.

Great Value, wonderful upgrade!
I have Dodge Grand Caravan 2019 with CVP (most basic value pack). Few years ago, I've already upgraded 4 speakers (2 front door, 2 at 2nd row) and added 2 3.5inch dash speakers with Infinity and JBL brand. Yes, I got improved sound.
This Alpine ILX-509 is absolutely an ultimate upgrade to the old-school head unit and makes my car keeping up the pace of technology.
I have SiriusXM 360L receiver as shown in picture (just below the main display), now can be bluetooth paired with ilx-509. Wow, I got much better sound comparing to aux, Bluetooth LDAC is used so I believe such connection won't lose a bit from Satellite. Different DAC means a lot in sound.
For installation, I would suggest programming the Maestro box first based on your vehile type. Then you'll get detailed instructions on how to connect. You'll need soldering tool to connect cables together.
Sonic Electronix has super-fast FedEx delivery and good price.
Pro: HD Radio, Bluetooth audio, android auto, built-in amplifier with better sound, vehicle info display.... all these modernized my car.
For installation, I would suggest programming the Maestro box first based on your vehile type, then you can download detailed instructions for connection. You need solering tool for connecting cables together.
