a great compromise

As a previous reviewer mentioned, the Regals of this time period had a terrible stereo design. However, this kit made it so much easier to put in a head unit. The plastic is quality and won't break easily, and the pockets are simply awesome - I throw my spare change, phone, and stereo remote in the upper one and there's still plenty of room. I keep my ipod in the lower one, which I have connected to the HU via a cable and a hole drilled in the back of the pocket. I love this setup.

However, there is one caveat. When fully inserted, the outer plastic rim is about 1/16th of an inch from the inner plastic, leaving a tiny space where the HU metal can be seen. I painted it black, though, and it's not even noticeable anymore.

Overall, love this kit, the 20 bucks are well worth not having a ghetto install in your car. It looks great and professional.

Does what it's supposed to

Let me preface by saying that the stereo design in the '88-'94 Regals is ridiculously bad. There are two satellite units in the dash that connect to the actual receiver, which is behind the glove box. Upgrading to an aftermarket receiver is a nightmare because of that. But this kit worked perfectly fine and did exactly what it was supposed to. It was pretty easy to install, and the instructions were straightforward and simple. It looks just fine in my dash, and the two pockets are handy for storing a remote or other little odds and ends. No complaints here.
