Very nice product

Great purchase. Makes good yogurt and of course the cost of home made yogurt is less than the price of yogurt purchased at the grocery store. The only con to this yogurt maker is sometimes the yogurt at the bottom of the container is more solid or a bit lumpy due to the heat being the strongest at the bottom. However, this is a very good quality machine and I received it quickly and in great shape.

Oh, the money I'm saving and eating better...

I've been using this wonderful yogurt maker, my first ever, for about 6 months. I figure, that I will have saved about $450. for a year not buying soy yogurt @ $1.19 each at Whole Foods!

I use original soy milk from Trader Joe's (NO calcium added!! FYI: Using the calcium-added kind made a very watery result, due to the extra preservatives added.) 5 cups with 3 heaping tablespoons powdered milk and 3 Tablespoons 2% Fago Greek yogurt--FRESH works best! Because the milk is ultra-pasturized, I only heat it to 115 degrees, checking with an instant read thermometer. No cooling is necessary. Eleven hours spent in the yogurt maker seems to make the resulting product perfect. I use my blender pitcher, with gradations to both measure and fill the cups. I also bought more cups to keep a constant supply on hand.

The suggestion in the accompanying booklet to use the same fat content of both starter and milk is key. PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND!

When filling the cups almost to the top, I have no problem, ignoring the fill line suggestion.

I add fresh fruit, nuts, dried coconut and some preserves and even some sugar to make it to my taste.

My only complaint is that the bell to signal the end time isn't very loud. Toward the end of the time, I set a bell timer to more loudly remind me.

It takes about 15 minutes to prepare a batch. If you are considering a yogurt maker, this one is great. Heeding my suggestions will put a smile on your face after the first use and for many batches to come!!

Easy to use

I keep my Aroma on our kitchen counter because I use it so often. I enjoy the timer feature because I can start a batch of yogurt at night, set the timer and it is ready in the morning. I would definitely recommend this yogurt maker to family and friends.
