Great Sound

I have a JL10w3v3-2 and started with the Atrend 10SQL. I used that for about 3-4 months until I started wanting something more. This exceeded my expectations. I don’t see myself switching back to the sealed box. This box is near manufacturers spec for cubic ft dimensions. I was worried about losing the punch or getting sloppy but there is none of that. It almost seems to have more punch than the sealed. Not as good with the kick drum bass as the sealed but the pros outweigh that only con. I don’t even mind losing that extra space since it sounds so good. Everything arrived as advertised. Beats me spending the time and money to build one myself.

Decent speaker box.

I've had my single 10 inch sub in several speaker boxes that I've made throughout the years . This sub box outperforms any of them that I've built so far.

Only downside as you can tell the carpet will easily peel back from the corners of the box. Might have to get some corner protectors.

Pretty decent - I think?

Ordered this with a Pioneer TSW-2502D4 sub. Called Ground Shaker and they told me this box is tuned to about 30-35hz. I set my subsonic filter to 25hz and then tried 30hz, yet my subwoofer is still making weird noises (maybe bottoming out?).

Anyway, I don't want to blame the box because there's a chance the sub is just crapping out. I set my gains appropriately and don't even have it running at full power.

This box is built with quality though! All edges on the inside are sealed with silicone and the MDF is thick. I actually have an Alpine Type-R coming tomorrow to test out. I'm hoping the issue is with my Pioneer sub and not the box! Will post again with updated results

Cant build them this cheap anymore it seems like, who wants to spend the time doing all that cutting and glueing, not me, not at this price.

i got these sub box on a deal with the jl audio subs and it sounds good with them only bad part is i have a truck and they are to big to put in the back seat and one came with a little tear but it was probably the shippers fault but cant complain for them being free

Enter the Bass

Box shipped fast and on time, Which is a good thing in my book. Sounds good, looks good, but 3 things upset me a lil 1 no wire for the sub had to scrounge around to make a connection, 2 had to sand the cutout a lil so sub would fit in there right, 3 box was damaged in shipping it was packed in only a single thin cardboard box. I was hoping for a lil thicker box than what it came in bottom corners are smashed in and carpet material is moved away. Other than that it is perfect for my phoenix gold rx110

Nice

Very nice fit and finish on this box with nice terminals. Cutout is right at 9.25 inches which may be big for some subs but was perfect for my Fi audio SSD. Only issue I have is that it is tuned a little high, I ran it through a calculator and it came out to about 41hz. Peeks at 55hz on my sub. So if you buy I recommend poly fill with this box. Also install your sub right, use tnuts or inserts.

Great box that works and looks good

I would very much recommend this box. I have it paired with a JBL amp and RE Audio SE 10 sub. Tons of boom for the money. I can't build a box this nice for the money that this one costs. ONE issue- why the heck doesn't Sonic wrap these before shipping? There was so many shipping peanuts in the cardboard box that ended up inside and all throughout the speaker cabinet and carpet that I'll never get them all out. A simple trash bag would've helped inside the shipping container.

Great Product

I have an Alpine sub volume matched in this box. Great lows, even for such a small sub. Its mounted in the back of a supercharged Mustang GT and hits the obnoxious bass level when needed for kicks. Great quality for the price.

box was larger then expected

I got this box in my mustang, and for future reference, this DOES NOT fit under the rear speaker panel!!!

Solid enclosure IF your sub fits!

The measly 9 1/8 cutout diameter did not fit ANY of the THREE different subs I tried to fit into this thing. While it didn't take much to open it up, it keeps this from being a true drop in design.

good clean design

this is a standard ported box with good quality in the carpet, with the wood cut cleanly. although the box is ported the inside of the box has lining which is typical of sealed enclosures to ensure air tight fit. overall this box was a much better investment than building a custom box. my ED10" hits nice and clean with only 400 watts of power (rms).

this box is one of the nicest boxes i have ever seen for a pre-formed box. it is well worth the 30 bucks, hell its worth even 50 maybe more definitely way nicer then the ones you can buy at the stores

The Sonic Sub Box 1SV10 works well - no complaints. Binding posts are 5-way, not clip type, which is great. Quality construction. Highly recommended for subs with the air-space space provided.

Good strong sturdy box that is well constructed. Weighs a lot so it can take a pounding. I have SPL 10's at 2500 Watts and they sound nice inside the box. It fits my mustang convertible snugly with the speakers facing the sides of the trunk. Overall a very good box for the price.

Great Box

I was worried when i purchased this box. i thought there was no way i was going to get a high quality box for such a cheap price, but the box came and it blew my mind. Before i saw this box i was looking at ones in other stores that were easily double in price but about half the quality. This box is the way to go!

excellent prefab box.

generally its always better to build your own box to the specs of your sub, but this was pretty close to the sub im running (re audio sxx), I have owned an "atrend" brand box and it was not even close to the same level of quality as this ground shaker box. This is a very heavy durable box that doesn't sacrifice looks. The only complaint i had was all the packing peanuts end up in the box and you have to dig them out or vacuum them out, but id rather do that then get a brand new box that is torn up or has roughed up corners. In conclusion, you will probably always be better off having your box custom built to specs, but this is about as close as you can get to custom quality from a prefab company.

Very nice box for the price for a prefab box. I perfer to make my own boxes to spec but this box was pretty nice. so far its holding up well. If your not skilled enough to build your own boxes, I'd suggest purchasing one of these

I recommend this box for any first time buyer, or someone who needs a good cheap box. If you don't want to take the time to go build one then this is your best alternative. It's ported and ready to go. Looks great in my trunk with the black carpet too!

Decent product

The box is well designed, and is solidly made. However, mine came with a tear in the "carpeting", directly on the front. This had to of been done during the shipping stage, and i wish it would've been replaced with one of a higher quality. Other than that, good buy for a good deal.

Very nice box

This is a great quality box at a super low price. I couldn't have built one myself any cheaper. Good sturdy basic box, with good covering. Good amount of sealer inside, too.
I am using an Alpine Type-R sub in this box, and it all went together easily, and sounds excellent. I highly recommend this box if you are looking for a pre-fab ported box for a high-quality subwoofer.

Bought these years ago and they have held up great. Making sure the subs match the 1.1 cu ft of airspace is important to make the system sound great!
