EPIC to say the least.

This is one awesome little device if you listen to a wide range of music like I do.. I listen to everything from the Moody blues and Doors to Metallica and Decaf - this thing is wonderful for most anything.. ESPECIALLY oldies, rock, and metal. The SPL meter is 5-6 DB off a Termlab in my vehicle, but it is repeatable and works well, all in all my FAVORITE device I have bought in any years. A real game changer if you like to go from Rap to Rock without major setup changes.

Nice product

I bought this thinking it would make the bass more clear and to an extent it did. But there were not any details about what the adjustments do and I don’t believe the spl mic is really as accurate as it’s reading.

Low bass where there's high bass

Much better then the 1st generation epicenter's. Built in 160db mic w/display or choose to display voltage. Also you're able to adjust the center & width of frequency. So you can turn a 100hz note into a 27-63hz note. It basically adds low bass to songs without low bass. Note sure if there's a built in subsonic filter.

Audio control!!! Need i say more?

I am building a new system, even though I'm hoping to compete with it, it's my daily. So I need good sound, I am good with rap and whatnot for comp, but I mostly listen to rock and metal. This thing when tuned right with your systyem is amazing. It gave me the bass in all my music, old to new! And it works with rap too. My whole dash shakes!

AudioControl The Epicenter InDash

First off thank you Sonic for the excellent customer service as well as the fast shipping. i bought this Epicenter to bring back the lows so when i play oldies it sounds the way i think it should. i went with the in-dash version for the convenience of having the controls at my fingertips. i like that you can turn it on and off with the touch of a button and the fact that it comes with a voltage/spl meter built in is a bonus. If you want to bring in Bass to songs that Lack BUY THIS if you want to add extra bass to songs that already have it BUY a better amp and sub.

Epicenter is aptly named

This is a great lil unit! Fun to play around with but be careful, because its really really easy to get woofers pushing the limits of their Xmax especially in a ported box below tuning frequency without subsonic filter enabled. this add up to the potential damage to voice coils. Be Advised. I recommend sealed enclosures, but if you insist on ported, utilize subsonic filter to prevent decoupling/unloading below your box's frequency tune and voice coil damage. For real though this thing brings out the lower octaves!
I got this unit over the concert series due to the fact that it is not a set and forget type of device. I can be I suppose, but I find great benefit and convenience of having the "tunability" at my fingertips. Not all tracks require or benefit from the epicenter so being able to disengage the bass reconstruction circuitry is great.
Voltage monitor readout is handy to see how much of an impact the power demands from the amps are having.
The spl mic is accurate enough to gauge when you're risking hearing damage. I like this feature more as a safety measure than a braggin piece, but it can be used in that capacity as well.
The red color is nice for night driving since eyes recover from red faster than blue. Less noticeable afterimage retina burn.
seriously though lots of fun to play with!! And boy howdy does it deliver on the bass!!!
Love that it's a PNW product, and with this area being volcanically active, and a temperate wonderland for bassheads, Seems Epicenter is an apt name on multiple levels. Audio Control makes some kickass gear.

One thing I have noticed though is that on my unit when the reconstruction is toggled there is a soft "speaker pop" like old amps lacking the soft start turn on. not as bad as the old amps but definitely noticeable. Curious if other have had this experience, or I have a faulty unit. or it is a result of using a common ground vs independent isolated ground? Any pointers in this department would be greatly appreciated.
