Audiobahn AS68Q( Discontinued same model-I think)

All in all,a very good set of speakers,like the other reveiwer said,without using an amp. For use with a HU only,they are a
very good sounding speaker set ,with great bass and not much
distortion,for the price. Was going to hook up an amp shortly,but
have had second thoughts after reading the reveiwer's comments.
Maybe he was using a garbage amp and or wiring,to blow the
tweeters,don't know. They have a built in crossover with a little
protection,so don't know how his were blowing up,but maybe I'll
give em a try with my amp,what could possible go wrong,but a blown
set of detatchable tweeteers,right. Very impressed with these
speakers,though. These do have hard hitting bass,that suprised me
at first. Not muddy or distorted. Would definately recommend them
to anyone wanting a great set of speakers,especially without adding
an amp. Will report badck ASAP,once I hook up my amp to these. I
wouldn't recommend using them as a sub replacement,or cranking
the bass gain way up high. Have excellent mid-range and highs,with
a more than descent bass response.

do not buy if using amplifier

These speakers are not very good. I had 2 sets of them because I didn't learn my lesson the first time. the tweeters are very week and blow very easily. The first set I blew after only a couple months and the second set blew on the first day. I was not even using the most powerful amp only 45x4, still 3 of the 4 tweeters blew. If you are going to use these as a component style set I recommend the Audiobahn ABC line of speakers, otherwise look to a different brand of coaxial's. All that being said, the woofers are not terrible at all, they can hold their own. if only Audiobahn could put a better tweeter in there, they would have a decent speaker.
